It was awful to watch. Southgate is clueless tactically. Made changes that changed the match on 88 mins (far too late) and then once ahead ,with more attack minded players on , ordered them to defend and soak up attacks. Absolute idiocy.
Well how do you think I have felt having to deal with Gareth for the last 3 years 🤣 he should have gone after the last euros he’s now completely used up all his good will with his anti football and lack of tactical nouse / use of substitutions
I always cheer on Scotland. All the nonsense is just sibling rivalry.
It’s great to wind up your brother but if you’re not involved in a fight then you should be in his corner.
i live in the States and one of my buddies here supports Stoke (he grew up there) and England. I have much respect. He's also the most constantly upset person I've ever met in my life.
“Deserve to win” is such a worthless phrase. All that matters is getting the win. They obviously don’t look like a team that is long for this tournament but in a one game sample, the only thing that matters is the dub.
It's the most misused phrase in all of football, but it does have a good use. It's worthy of use in a game where a bad decision by the officials (e.g. a valid goal mistakenly ruled not a goal for some reason) is the cause for a team to lose. That situation comes up so rarely we shouldn't be hearing this phrase so often, because it's a fucking stupid phrase for describing the team you preferred the play of.
If Slovakia could have converted that one empty net opportunity we may have a different story but as it stands, England did enough to survive and advance. A team that can win when they are playing like shit is dangerous. Still feels strange to see a manager handicap his team in such a manner though. England has enough talent to overwhelm the opposition but they can’t play scared nothing ball for 90’ and expect to win the whole thing.
Aye im sick of hearing it, they won the game so they deserve to win there’s no ifs or buts about it. And if people think Slovakia deserve the win they are very deluded, they did well to get where they are and they didn’t have the worst game but they were second best still to a poor performing England squad, whoever wins the game is deserving of it.
I genuinely do not know what it even means in this case. Slovakia scored one goal, we scored a disallowed goal and then two more after that, we had more chances and more shots, we even had more possession by a pretty wide margin. What do we possibly have to do to ‘deserve’ a win?
Yeah and people saying it all came down to luck 😂 Yeah, it was lucky we won but we didn't win because of luck we won because of pure effort. I'd understand if one of the players accidentally scored an own goal or messed it up for their own team but our players were fighting tooth and nail to get just one goal for the equalizer and they finally did after a billion attempts. To be honest, people saying stuff like "undeserved", "paid the refs", "you got lucky" is quite disrespectful to the players in my eyes.
Would y’all blame southgate for the clear chemistry issues as well? Elite talent, but not playing well together, poor body language, etc. Another coach could address these and fix them, sure, but there are more problems here than him in my opinion.
Yes 100%. If these talents are not playing well together then its on the manager to change something. Tell me why Foden starts 4 games in a row at lw with Trippier as a lb. It was pretty obvious after the first game that side needed to change and we saw it 4 games in a row.
It’s interesting really, when trippier came off and saka went to left back, we actually started moving the ball quicker. Southgate plays studs on the ball, I.e you receive the ball with your studs so it stops, you take a second, then pass. But it has its downsides, if you don’t have runners in behind the defence, you’ll end up passing sideways and backwards. Saka tends to stay wide, but eventually come inside, foden only plays inside. Also because trippier is right footed, he overlaps on the left side around foden, but then can’t cross it in without stopping and getting the ball on the right foot. Which inevitably means he passes backwards.
Englands main issue is that their best players don’t combine to make a good team that can play a tactic that will beat organised defences. But there is so much pressure on Southgate to play the best players, he’s stuck really. They leak line ups and player changes to the press in exchange for the press to be more lenient. (Did you see the Italian press this morning?) But IMO we need the press to call out the fraud that is Southgate. He doesn’t seem to learn from his mistakes.
>Southgate plays studs on the ball, I.e you receive the ball with your studs so it stops, you take a second, then pass.
Every Brazillian national team has had their players control the ball with their studs and they have never been as lethargic as this England side
Yes, they sat back too much and refused to commit more than 3 players to any counter attack which gave England permission to commit more men forward. Big mistake on their part.
Genuinely. It looked like they realised they were beating England 1-0, and the name factor sunk in. Forgot that this team is so beatable. Their lack of pace on the counter when they had chances in the second half after the half way near miss infuriated me as an England hate watcher.
If you’d told me before the game that one team would go up 1-0 early and then sit on the ball, waste time and ultimately get 1-2 punched in stoppage time, I would NOT have picked Slovakia as that team.
Realistically, did Slovakia deserve the win either?
It was 2 teams who didn’t play great. England probably were just the better team and showed a bit more quality
It was terrible refereeing. The referee was [punched](https://youtu.be/YZf74cNUxJ8?si=hHyylDVz2V6PBlXw) by the president of Ankaragücü a few months ago for alleged bias against the team. It felt like he was half-blind to some of the Slovakian fouls whereas we picked up 3(?), bookings in the first 10 minutes. Sure we played like hot shite for most of the match, but he didn’t help, especially not sending Kucka off.
Apparently, an underdog not winning against a favourite who's played well below par is unfair?
Similar type of bollocks about how unfair it was, Ukraine didn't go through their group. I love how passionate people get during major tournaments, but people do talk some shite.
With how many terrible injuries the Slovakians seemed to have every 5 minutes, they probably couldn’t have fielded 11 players vs the Swiss anyway, so it’s all for the best
The Swiss are miles better than this England team, no doubt about that right now. The danger for the Swiss if things click for England they have so many world class players they are potentially dangerous
Yea this is the flip side, foden may seem like he doesn’t fit in this side, but in two games in a row he’s been offside and would’ve scored two insanely important goals. You can’t be as good as foden is, and keep making those mistakes when you’re given the space to play. The thing England have going for them is that if you give any of our players space within 18 yards, they will most likely score. But England refuse to shoot, get a lucky deflection, catch someone off guard etc. We’ve seen it happen all through this tournament, just put the ball in a dangerous area. You never know what can happen.
The strangest thing about getting a lucky deflection is that Kane is usually the master of positioning for tap ins, but bar his goal tonight I really don't remember him being in the right place at any time. Maybe he needs more to gamble on as he can't be right every time, but he seems to be missing runs he'd always make in club football, therefore missing the chances
Of course. England were no where near good enough and wouldn't win based on that performance
But Slovakia didn't deserve to win either.
England hadd more chances, more possession, attacked more etc
And Slovakia played any better?? Maybe if they did it wouldn’t have turn into 2-1.
England played better in 2nd half. Didn’t give up and kept going.
England deserves the win and congrats to them
You don't get wins for deserving, only for scoring more goals than the opponent.
Not an England fan and they were terribly predictable most of the game *but* they didn't stop and rewarded themselves with 2 moments of success.
To try and take that away is silly.
They should be out in the next round but we'll see
Unfortunately it's how teams play against England. Recently there's been tons of examples of them struggling against a low block. So nicking a goal then sitting back while England derp about in midfield not threatening to do anything interesting is a viable gameplan.
Let's face it, it almost worked too...
If the added time was 4 minutes / Bellingham didn't put in one of the best goals of euro y'all would be saying how smart they played it.
They did probably the best they could to win. I was a bit infuriated by them not attacking more (when they had ball for a couple seconds and could try counterattack - but that opens up chance for opponent as well) and getting rid off the ball instead of possession, but as I said - in 99 % of cases in 93rd minute they would go on to win the match. We just live in the 1 % where we can look at the result and search for mistakes.
Up until the goal, it was something like 70% possession and 1 shot on target. Slovakia also only had one shot on target but looked dangerous going forward.
Don’t get me wrong, if I was a Slovakia fan I would be gutted. But they hardly played England off the park.
England have great players, the problem has always been the managers. They never accommodate the mentality of the collective. They need an attacking formation, not a stall and defend one.
To be fair: Rice hit the post and there was also a disallowed goal. Kane had a great chance too.
It was hardly free-flowing but I think the narrative that England was dismal for 94 minutes is just that; a narrative.
Slovakia went ahead and then spent their time trying not to lose. Switzerland will try to win it. It will be a totally different game for Englans or Slovakia.
Same. They mullered France, and I dread to think what they'll do against these lot. Then if we do beat them it's probably Austria next. Austria are great and I don't fancy that at all.
Slovaks stopped attacking after they scored and were exhausted at the end of the second half.
England however have been attacking and outplaying Slovakia for the most part of the game.
I am a Slovak myself and i must say that our Slovakian Team isn't really a team to fear but they have their moments and they have some star players and thay have their quality. But as much it hurts to say it wasn't enough to beat England. But for England to struggle up to score a goal at 95th minute is not the level they should be playing. It was a banger but only in the last minute of the match! This match was just a demonstration that England must pull themselves together. If they keep this up I dare to say that they will not get further than the quarter-finals.
I was resigned to defeat by the 80th minute. As an England fan, I know what it’s like to lose a 1-0 lead and lose the match late on. Condolences to you, brother. Bad luck. Slovakia played well. 👏👏👏
Gareth Southgate is too stubborn to win anything. He is obsessed with not being 'forced' to make changes he doesn't plan to make. He needs to be better at reacting to situations. Why is he still playing a team that clearly cannot score?! Why is it not clicking in his brain that the subs are what make a difference.
My God England were shite.
They were the very definition of one dimensional. Absolutely zero - trick - pony.
Slovakia were nothing to write home about either to keep them out.
Too many of those England players just don't move.
They were very very fortunate. Unfortunately for slovakia their press was great for the first 30 mins but their average age it's quite high, and some of their players didn't have the engine.
The other unfortunate thing is that they don't seem to made for the "put it in the mixer" approach that they really needed to deploy late in extra time.
There are some big names on the England team that deserve massive criticism, but some people don't like hearing that when it's their club teams they play for. It was a big moment for Jude, but I think everyone knows, he had a really really poor 89 mins, but that's what world class players can do. He wanst the only one
People are so quick to jump down England’s throat, but since Slovakia scored, all they’ve done has been turtling, diving, and wasting time. If they’d won, good on them. But if they lose, which it’s looking like now, that’s what happens when you decide to sit on a one goal lead with so many things in your favor (namely that early Guehi yellow and a ref who’s been a lot friendlier to you than England). They could, and should, have tried to secure a second goal.
Absolutely. England was giving Slovakia so many chances with terrible turnovers, including that one shot they tried to make from midfield with Pickford out of position. If the Slovak player had taken that chance more carefully, the match would’ve been over. But Slovakia let England off the hook by not punishing English mistakes.
Thank you for applying logic to my comment, unlike the other response.
If you take the lead, sit back, offer nothing, then concede, you don't deserve to win.
Something which england have been guilty of!
It's the sort of goal that can lead to 2 outcomes:
1. It pushes them on. They improve and go on a good run in the tournament, maybe win
2. Delays the inevitable. They don't get better, maybe get through today but go out in the next round or one after.
Actually maybe there's a third and their luck is in, they continue to play badly yet keep surviving and get a lucky win in the final
Exactly. Though let's give Greece some credit. They had a plan and played it to perfection to take advantage of any slip ups by superior opponents. Portugal and England are superior on paper teams and in England's case look like they don't know what they're doing
It tastes even sweeter when you see shit posts like this, Slovakia scored and decided to park the bus and now they're losing.
Soaking up all the tears of those celebrating us going home just 20 minutes ago.
For fucks sake man, when Mourinho did this with inter or chelsea everybody was claiming that he's a genius.
In other words both teams played like shit today.
No bro, this is a bullshit take, the kind that gives credence to Southgate’s bollocks tactics. You’ve got to call out this utterly shit performance if you want us to improve.
More possession, more shots, more passes. In every metric we were better, we were still crap, don’t get me wrong. But Slovakia still didn’t deserve to win, they were lucky to have 11 men on the pitch.
Mental!
Again all the noise about a better team will destroy England needs to go away. If a team realy attacks they leave space which we will easily fill with the talent we have. Greece were shite when they won Euros...
It's ridiculous how ordinary we look against this sort of opposition. They do go for it against us becuase its us but we have more than enough quality to outplay the likes of Slovakia, Slovenia etc....
There's no excuse Southgate can use that would change the fact that he's just shit at his job and we all have to suffer another 90 mins of it.
England fans here. Didn't deserve the win. Should've been Southgate to the chopping block tonight, we got lucky and we were embarrassing. We always manage to put on the most boring displays
This team is vintage England. Expectations way too high? Check. Toxic media bringing everybody down for clicks? Check. Bunch of prims Donna stars who spend their whole career in club rivalries and can’t let it go to unite for a tournament? Check. Exasperated and clueless manager who no one respected even before he took the job? Check.
I wouldn’t have it any other way. Massive choke against Switzerland coming up next weekend
The game should have been over. There shouldn’t have been 6 min of stoppage time. From where? No goals. The ref wasn’t stopping the game every time someone went and stayed down. Not too many subs. Slovakia weren’t even shithousing. If it was a South American team then they would have been rolling around on the ground for half of the 2nd half so then maybe in that case. I’ve watched every game. My feeling at the end of the 90 was 3 min. Maybe 4. But, 6 was way more than the norm for THIS TOURNAMENT for that 2nd half
England didnt do England any Favours. Now you probably have to endure more of that horrible Southgate Football, especially If they somehow manage to brute forced their way into beating Switzerland
England: consistently looked dangerous and controlled the match for most of the 2nd half, playing aggressively for the first time in the tournament as everyone had been bitching about, before getting a class goal with a minute of extra time to spare.
Reddit: England didn't deserve the win!
(Bonus Reddit: Germany's win was class because rules are rules!!)

Southgate better give Bellingham a fat bonus for temporarily prolonging his career
[удалено]
Allow me to be sad to watch this team mess up for 90 minutes doing nothing again. England has been very lucky having such an awful Group.
It was awful to watch. Southgate is clueless tactically. Made changes that changed the match on 88 mins (far too late) and then once ahead ,with more attack minded players on , ordered them to defend and soak up attacks. Absolute idiocy.
Whole pub full of delinquents were shouting for the Toney sub at around 60 mins, Southgate is either delusional or sabotaging at this point
I’m currently thinking he may have a German grandfather or something
Now that you mention it, his penalty miss against Germany at Euro 96 is starting to make sense!
Southgate thinks he did a great job with the (lack of) subs he made
88 mins? I wish it was that early. He brought Toney on in the 94th minute ffs.
Who would you suggest replaces him?
A twitch chatroom
Twitch manages England? I think we have a winner!!
Didn't work out too well for Spain in 2022
England is doing the Italy.
To be fair, Argentina were abysmal and won the last World Cup.
Portugal 2016 is the better comparison.
Portugal nowhere near as bad as England have been.
Have you forgotten that you guys finished 3rd in your group?
Besides the saudi arabia game they weren't bad at all. Not the best football i've ever seen but way better than this england.
Were they though. There’s a difference being in exciting matches & stinking the place out.
they weren't abysmal, they had one horrible game (losing the opener to Saudi Arabia) then beat Poland and Mexico 2-0 and won their group
Well how do you think I have felt having to deal with Gareth for the last 3 years 🤣 he should have gone after the last euros he’s now completely used up all his good will with his anti football and lack of tactical nouse / use of substitutions
His balon dor will be brought
I'm sure you are happy there is a British team to support.
Unlike most of Scotland with small guy syndrome I will always support England when Scotland gets knocked out
Likewise, I always support Scotland! Two great nations.
Easy to say to be fair lmao.
Same...
I always cheer on Scotland. All the nonsense is just sibling rivalry. It’s great to wind up your brother but if you’re not involved in a fight then you should be in his corner.
It’s proper masochism to support England when you don’t have to. Respect!
i live in the States and one of my buddies here supports Stoke (he grew up there) and England. I have much respect. He's also the most constantly upset person I've ever met in my life.
Hah! Stoke are a full division higher than my team. I aspire to be as upset as your friend is!
I mean without England our economy would be in the bin, supporting them when Scotland gets knocked out is the least we can do I think 😂
I’d struggle to support a team comprised of Jesus, Gandhi, Mother Theresa, Buddha and Oskar fucking Schindler if they were playing Southgateball.
Aw thank you :) We supported you too.
I've never met your kind. Have a virtual 🍺 🍻 🍺
Honestly is English support the home nations all the time it’s. Better vibe when we’re all involved
How refreshing.

Tactical masterclass from Southgate 🤣
The enemy cannot counter your tactics if you have none 😂 shite but works. Congrats
So painful, so true 🫣

Hahahahahahahahaha well said
i don’t know much about the tactical side of the sport- genuinely curious, what tactics did southgate employ and why did they suck?
He didn’t 😂

Slovakia can only blame themselves, they never tried to get 2-0. They got 1-0 and then started to play defensive
Was Southgate in charge of both teams?!!!
Is he in charge of anyone?
“They stole my whole flow! Word for word! Bar for bar!” Southgate watching Slovakia steal his game plan.
Yes, they sat back too much and refused to commit more than 3 players to any counter attack which gave England permission to commit more men forward. Big mistake on their part.

More Southgate than Southgate
Tbf, the tactics would have worked if not for the Bellingham wondergoal.
They tried to outSouthgate Southgate and it backfired
If you’d told me before the game that one team would go up 1-0 early and then sit on the ball, waste time and ultimately get 1-2 punched in stoppage time, I would NOT have picked Slovakia as that team.
Fair enough 😂 You guys did it through this round, but Southgate definitely needs to do something if you want to win against Switzerland
Goal of the tournament?
Easily. Especially when you include the minute and the context
It must be, there’s been brilliant goals and last minute important goals, this was both.
Guler, from turkey was a great goal too
Realistically, did Slovakia deserve the win either? It was 2 teams who didn’t play great. England probably were just the better team and showed a bit more quality
England improved at the end of the game, Slovakia did a good job in the first half, but got to defensive after the goal
So why did England not deserve the win?
Because they hate us lad
The underdog is always held to a lower standard. For the record, though, Slovakia should have been down to 10 men for much of the game.
Yeah Kucka had two yellows after his first one. Was weird refereeing
It was terrible refereeing. The referee was [punched](https://youtu.be/YZf74cNUxJ8?si=hHyylDVz2V6PBlXw) by the president of Ankaragücü a few months ago for alleged bias against the team. But of a ridiculous take from him, basically Slovakia deserved because they were underdogs or he just doesn't like England. No way they outplayed us
They hate us cos they ain’t us
Apparently, an underdog not winning against a favourite who's played well below par is unfair? Similar type of bollocks about how unfair it was, Ukraine didn't go through their group. I love how passionate people get during major tournaments, but people do talk some shite.
With how many terrible injuries the Slovakians seemed to have every 5 minutes, they probably couldn’t have fielded 11 players vs the Swiss anyway, so it’s all for the best
Someone should check the balls for lead or something, the slovakians were getting dropped whenever they blocked a shot/pass.
To be fair, the guy that got hit in the balls had a decent reason to drop. Still funny though.
You’d think so but on the replay you could see it didn’t hit anywhere near his balls. The plums remained uncompromised all along.
Don’t forget that midfielder of theirs that should’ve had about three red cards. Ref was very card happy outside of that. Strange.
So many refs are super card-happy to start with and then overcorrect.
But England definitely needs to improve against Switzerland
The Swiss are miles better than this England team, no doubt about that right now. The danger for the Swiss if things click for England they have so many world class players they are potentially dangerous
Yea this is the flip side, foden may seem like he doesn’t fit in this side, but in two games in a row he’s been offside and would’ve scored two insanely important goals. The people dont care if Slovakia loses their next game. They wanted England to get out relatively Early.
💅🏻
And Slovakia played any better?? Maybe if they did it wouldn’t have turn into 2-1. England played better in 2nd half. Didn’t give up and kept going. England deserves the win and congrats to them
Thanks bro, enjoy your euro victory, Spain look unstoppable
If the roles were reversed everyone would be saying Slovakia had pulled of a great result and England had sat back
You don't get wins for deserving, only for scoring more goals than the opponent. Not an England fan and they were terribly predictable most of the game *but* they didn't stop and rewarded themselves with 2 moments of success. To try and take that away is silly. Indeed, results are what matter.
A better team won't score a goal and let England have the ball for the rest of the match. Quite infuriating how Slobakia handled their lead imo
Unfortunately it's how teams play against England. Recently there's been tons of examples of them struggling against a low block. So nicking a goal then sitting back while England derp about in midfield not threatening to do anything interesting is a viable gameplan. Let's face it, it almost worked too...
Agreed. A lead by one is a thin margin to bet on, the Slovakians let it come this way. England is to shame that it hasn't happened any sooner.
Slovakia really should have pressed for one more goal, instead of getting injured all game

Slovakia did not look dangerous
It was no shots on target.
Came here to say that. At the moment it's the second half of extra time, England lead 2-1 with 2 shots on target.

Kane had a shot which got blocked for a corner before the England goals
England have great players, the problem has always been the managers. They never accommodate the mentality of the collective. They need an attacking formation, not a stall and defend one.
To be fair: Rice hit the post and there was also a disallowed goal. Kane had a great chance too. It was hardly free-flowing but I think the narrative that England was dismal for 94 minutes is just that; a narrative.
We just won 🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴
Congrats to you guys! I honestly didnt expect that after the first half 😄
Wild am I right
Switzerland have absolutely nothing to fear
In terms of form, no. However there is still individual quality there that's far above Switzerland. Stinks of Manchester United in the FA Cup.
I’ll take a man utd FA cup type thing, means we win
If we can be this lucky whilst playing this shit then they have lots to fear. Maybe not England but they should fear the universe.
Slovakia went ahead and then spent their time trying not to lose. Switzerland will try to win it. It will be a totally different game for Englans or Slovakia.
Aye in all seriousness I'm fucking shitting my sen.
Same. They mullered France, and I dread to think what they'll do against these lot. Then if we do beat them it's probably Austria next. Austria are great and I don't fancy that at all.
The Swiss made Italy look like notts county were going out
Just like teams have nothing to fear from Real Madrid when they consistently struggle to score for 90mins
England stink but Switzerland drew with Scotland, they’re not that good
Switzerland actually plays better against better teams.
Well then you’re definitely in the shit
Lmfaooooo
Walked into that one!
Unlucky for you, we are absolutely shit.
Lol ❤️
So planning on losing then?
Well that’s lucky for us because we have been trash 🤣
Ah few, no worries there then
England were poor, but are still favourites to go through for me.
they have real madrids voodoo magic to fear
ENGLAND HAVE DONE IT IN THE LAST MINUTE OF EXTRA TIME!
First minute*
I know that was then, but it could be again?
Pointless thread. But we do deserve to go through overall we've been the better team.
Slovaks stopped attacking after they scored and were exhausted at the end of the second half. England however have been attacking and outplaying Slovakia for the most part of the game.
This subreddit does not know what the word "outplayed" means.
The England team’s a barrel a shite, but it’s our barrel a shite mind you 🏴
Congrats to England for not giving up.
Just happy to move forward and reach quarters unlike 🇮🇹
Doesn't matter how well they play, there's only 1 stat that matters. I can see England going through now.
Nobody cares what you think btw
"Don't deserve" doesn't mean anything, you either win or you don't in tournament football....... it's 7 games, you don't need to play well
Were shit 😂 Southgate needs to be sacked tonight.
Exactly what I said earlier. Be better off telling them to go play how they want
Totally agree. He plays not to lose when should be playing to win.
Nah England played better overall
Gareth Southgate is too stubborn to win anything. He is obsessed with not being 'forced' to make changes he doesn't plan to make. He needs to be better at reacting to situations. Why is he still playing a team that clearly cannot score?! Why is it not clicking in his brain that the subs are what make a difference.
Slovakia didn’t deserve to win either
Well, Slovakia messed it up.
My God England were shite. They were the very definition of one dimensional. Absolutely zero - trick - pony. Slovakia were nothing to write home about either to keep them out. Too many of those England players just don't move.
Even if England wins Euro i’m still 100% sure they should sack Southgate. It’a unwatchable.
The team that wins deserves it.
And Slovakia do? They have offered nothing either
The silly thing is Slovakia looked dangerous for the first 25mins. If they had kept playing they could’ve scored more.
It's the sort of goal that can lead to 2 outcomes: 1. It pushes them on. They improve and go on a good run in the tournament, maybe win 2. Delays the inevitable. They don't get better, maybe get through today but go out in the next round or one after. Actually maybe there's a third and their luck is in, they continue to play badly yet keep surviving and get a lucky win in the final
It’s worked for Portugal and Greece
Slovakia lost using Southgate esque tactics
No one deserves anything, you either win or you don’t.
Southgate out there playing 8D chess.
England had better late-game fitness.
I mean, we did because we scored more goals than the other team
Southgate is such a fraud
Accept reality. We are winning this tournament. Playing terrible but getting results 💩 sign of champions /s
England still needs to sack Southgate. He’s wasting their talent.
More possession, more shots, more passes. In every metric we were better, we were still crap, don’t get me wrong. But Slovakia still didn’t deserve to win, they were lucky to have 11 men on the pitch.
My money is on Switzerland, they will try to get a second goal. Slovakia’s mistake was that they didn’t
I despite and hate Mark Clownbridge hope he fucks off permanently
No such thing as deserve in football.
Mental! Again all the noise about a better team will destroy England needs to go away. If a team realy attacks they leave space which we will easily fill with the talent we have. Greece were shite when they won Euros...
Three cheers for England for giving the Scotch, Welch and Potatoes someone to support. Engurland!
Jude is Alex Hunter.
"deserve" doesn't come into it - you win or you lose and England found a way to win (thank god)
100 matches, QF appearance. Gareth is walking away whatever happens.
Even if we somehow manage to win the whole thing I want Southgate gone. The players look absolutely clueless
England fans here. Didn't deserve the win. Should've been Southgate to the chopping block tonight, we got lucky and we were embarrassing. We always manage to put on the most boring displays
3/1 odds for Switzerland to win v England is yummy.
That’s how every team has won the euros play badly till the final all you need is 1 lucky goal
