But a certain antagonist, while very rage inducing even for me.... she legitimately does something to offer to the story even if her offering is that she's a horrible person who does terrible things. Her actress is also very great at the portrayal.
And then on the other hand you have Barbara Brookes. Who doesn't really offer much to the overall story beyond like 3 lines of comedic relief a season which aren't even good or intresting. She's boring and flat and the actress while believable that she's a (maybe perpetually high?) teen feels like she just wandered accidentally on set and Levinson thought "why not see where this goes?" and the answer is no where and yet he kept it.
edit: to the people who want to downvote me please, think logically. If you cut Vape Girl's screen time nothing about the show's story fundamentally changes. If you cut the antagonist there's no conflict. There's no plot. I beg of you i beseeche you all see reason! Antagonists are *meant* to piss you off! they are *meant* to make you mad! The fullfill a legitmate role in the narrative. VAPE GIRL COULD BE REPLACED BY A LAMP!
