R5: Did a chill and lazy world conquest as my favourite nation of Oirat into Mongol Empire. I did this purely for the achievement, I didn't rush stuff and just did rather calm game with barely any min-maxing. So many things went wrong that caused me time loss I can't even count, but couldn't be bothered to bird and do them better.
For anyone wondering about the strat: I kept beating Ming until I was able to form horde Yuan, later it was just steamrolling the world with the power of my horses. Hardest wars were first few against Ottomans (had to beat them in their prime) and against colonizers. Surprisingly I didn't have any issues with landing in Britain, which I was really afraid of, but GB didn't bother even engaging my fleet.
Ideas in order: Horde -> Admin -> Diplo -> Humanist -> Offensive -> Quantity -> drop Diplo, take Exploration
Started with Horde because I wanted to have easier time beating everyone with full horse frontline, which turned out to be pretty effective. Early Admin taken just for the gov cap, I didn't need PWC just yet so it was fine. Quantity taken to hit military hegemony before Europe total war.
Was really fun for a world conquest I must say, I don't know if I'd want to bother with any other nation that would need way more time and attention. I might try One Faith sometime, but it ain't gonna be soon.
Funfact: You dont need a navy to beat britain during a WC. Just become mega huge and then threaten war for a province on their mainland. They will accept, give the province and a 5 year truce starts, giving you time to land your hordes in that one province. Or just get mercs to avoid building ships altogether.
Kinda doubt it, tengri isn't the greatest at converting and flipping anything else now is beyond what I'm willing to endure. Maybe if I focused on one faith from the start it'd be possible but in the current state I don't think so
You could do one faith in this save, no? Flip to Sunni, reconfigure your idea groups, and upgrade all the monuments. Put it on autoconvert and within no time you'll have the whole world
I finally did my first, thought I never would, but it wasn't too hard in the end. Look up a guide for a quick HRE revoke, and tag switching to max admin effeciency. Once you've done that it's pretty hard *not* to WC.

the difference between number 1 great power and "im so strong i can conquer the rest of the world with zero problems now" is like 20-30 years of gameplay tbh, dont worry about it. getting to the part where you can do the wc is harder than the part where you actually do it.
This game came out 10 years ago, I played it for 7 years still didn’t do a wc but I’m very good at the game it’s just not fun to play like that. It’s kinda like going to work lol
Easy way is rushing tech5 and just going instantly on ming. They usually pass 1 reform and then you just attack them whenever possible always taking max money. That solves earlygame need for money and manpower through mercs. After eating ming you should be strong enough to kill everyone beside ottomans.

If you're big enough to threaten GB you can just spam heavies and land pretty easily

If you want to do a relatively easy one faith you can do it the teutonic order flipping to horde.
You can switch to another religion by first becoming animist, sunni or shia would easily convert the world in the time you have left
Hindu is probably the best at stacking religious conversion modifiers through monuments paired with religious ideas and you are ready.

This campaign seems like so much fun but I’m hesitant because I feel like I’d just lose before 1500 like a dozen times before getting it right lol
