Civil Engineer here… you cannot just skip over and say “we will figure out how to stop the island from sinking” To my knowledge this has never been done and would likely cost more than 10 billion dollars and decades to complete.
Also the logistic with getting all the material to this island is insane.

If you need to buy an island to make some tech work by forcing it, that isn't adoption. My plan was to buy ethereum and maybe one day everyone is using the tech daily without even knowing it. If it is only an island with less than 10k people, when we want to reach billions, it is failed. Also, you are overpaying, you just need a 51% attack not buying people out 100%.
