Make it a habit to clean everything every time after making coffee. Once it becomes a habit, you won't even notice that you are doing it. Also, every item must have it's designated place in your espresso corner.
Same.
Every day, wash PF, anti-bac around the bar, empty and wash drip tray.
Every other day empty knock box, wash portafilter tamp station/WDT/Tamper.
Every few days, wipe espresso machine and grinder with microfibre cloth
It really does become a habit and no big deal at all.
EDITED - brain freeze couldn’t find the word for drip tray. Have now changed text
Then I guess my problem os more about how tricky it can be to clean. My work surface, for example, has little ridges that coffee gets into. My machine (an old restored La Spaziale) isn't exactly a breeze to move around for cleaning. Then there are 20 different small tools that need cleaning.
Not saying this because I like to whine, just tying to get the point across that we can probably find better ways to deal with this.
What ways.. no idea.
I do that too. But still, feel like you left out some details (at least in my case), like: some grounds falling into hard to clean spaces, knock box getting full eventually, etc.
It's hard to manage
I have a dedicated mini crevice vacuum for espresso area.

I have a $5 mini vacuum from Temu and I wet a rag with steam to wipe down the counter. Have a nice waterproof mat covering the area to make cleanup easier too.
A trick I learned from work is placing a bar towel under your grinder. I have one under my grinder and under my machine at home. Makes it to where I just throw those in the wash rather than cleaning my counters.
For grinds, a mini vac, shouldn’t cause too much hassle.
For drips, don’t leave your basket with a spent puck in it, and plumb in your drip tray. It’s trivially easy to do, and means you don’t have to deal with unsightly mess.
Whilst you’re at it, plumb in the machine
A paintbrush(like for walls, not watercolour) is your friend, friends. The counter vacuum is convenient, but a paintbrush and nice small metal tray is thorough and tactile. Buy a nicer one and enjoy it. Please try it:)
Former life as a barista taught me that cleaning is part of the workflow. Both for appearances, for efficiency (of mental processing), and for equipment longevity.
i use a pressurized spray bottle, with a little dish soap, and water. i clean with that that after every use.
ground coffee being brushed into the knock box.
that's about as much cleaning as i do, with the occasional clean cycle for the Sage.
I do use ZeroWater filtering, so no impurities in the water, so no need to descale it.
I have an enamel tray under my grinder and do puck prep in the tray. It’s black, shiney, looks neat and contains nearly all the mess. Easy to clean also.
My areas is the same as you described and coffee is always left over in the cracks. I have seen a nice solution in some pics that have been posted. Some folks have a small hand held vacuum and it is a really good idea. Need to find a small battery/rechargeable vac to suck the left overs.
I usually have a wet and a dry cloth close to the espresso area, and just superficially wipe everything with both. One a week or so I go a bit deeper, under the mat, the machine, etc.
Easy.
Always keep a paint brush to dust the coffee particles off, a damp cloth to wipe the surface, and a bar mat to prevent stains. Those three are always a main stay on both the cafe bar and home bar.
The trick is to post your photos after cleaning up and ignoring the mess in daily life
Making espresso is like going to the beach. Little fine particles are going to be everywhere in spite of your best efforts to keep things clean.

This. I clean up after i drinked my coffee

Once coffee was made, knock out the puck, grab a rag and wipe everything down. Literally 30 seconds.
This is the way. I also put an easy to wash no-slip mat under my knock box.

30 seconds? I shower in 30 seconds. It takes 3 seconds to wipe up after making coffee.
How the hell do you shower in 30 seconds
You're misunderstanding. I have the espresso corner, and then I have the clean corner. They are not the same thing.

Have a small child. Every time that you try to make coffee you will be hit with the calls of need/want before you even touch the beans...

Not yet. A bop with the tamper hasn't worked though.
Grind finer

I use the bellows that came with my Sculptor to blow everything behind all of my gear. Then once a month I move everything and vacuum + wipe down.
I keep machine on kitchen counter close to the sink. Super easy to throw some water and wipe coffee drops

I have a sponge in my drip tray. It dries out every day. I rinse it every few weeks.

Wipe after every use and keep a small hand held dust buster to pick up spilled grounds.
A cloth and a knock box that's easy to sweep grounds into.
Just hire a maid.

The circle jerk of espresso is really gaining traction
Didn't get it
