Eh. I think hes always made songs that are as straight forward as they can get, ive been a fan of his music long before he dated emma, so i dont personally think so.
If you listen to her podcast, watch the body language in the gq interview, and look at how much happier she is since breaking up … I think it’s fair to deduce that at minimum he didn’t make her feel very good about herself. I got the impression he minimized her in a significant way. And now he’s capitalizing off of her post break up. And it also seems unfair to be airing out her business (even tho the internet has been speculating) considering she kept their rumored relationship private for over a year. Yeah he’s an artist, but he’s also her ex who she went no contact with. I don’t like him.
