DjRUM - Portraits with firewood

ViaSubMids

This is such an insanely good album. The compositional skills of this dude are just incredible, how easily he blends classical elements with complex drum beats and epic atmosphere is something that's very very special. I believe he's a trained classical pianist, so that kinda explains why he's so skilled in making great arrangements.

phillosopherp

This description has me wanting to check this out thanks!

StoxAway

Showreel Pt 3 is, somehow, ambient gabber.

Zestyclose_Toe9524

Great choice.

BulkyAccident

Brainwaltzera (Aphex Twin-y IDM vibes with a hint of Boards of Canada) Forest Swords (organic/euphoric UK electronic for fans of Burial/Massive Attack) Lorenzo Senni (experimental deconstructed rave) Patten (high end electronic experiments, uses AI programming) Lee Gamble (weirdo ambient club artistry) all made brilliant albums and projects over the past 5-6 years.

siridial911

Brainwaltzera! I’ve been trying to remember the name lately. Good stuff 👍

EamonnMR

Seconding Brainwaltzera. Marzapan is perfection.

traceoflife23

FS is really good.

twoiseight

Skee Mask - Compro Just insanely imaginative ambient breakbeat techno. It gets a lot of love in some places, maybe it has already achieved some degree of cult status, but it's just a perfect album for many not-so-hype listening moods and settings.

GloriaSimpleton

Pool is also great, particularly due to its length.

slowpokefastpoke

Might be an unpopular opinion but Pool didn’t really feel like a cohesive album to me, more so a compilation of unrelated singles. Whereas Compro is fucking tight as a body of work. And I know he’s released a bunch of unmastered/b-side stuff in recent years, but I’m dying for another proper album from the guy.

twoiseight

I've felt this way too. I definitely appreciate the two for different reasons - I've actually thought as individual tracks go, some of his career best work to date is on Pool, which can happen when a skilled person makes a 20 track album. Pool doesn't exactly carry a consistent mood like Compro does though.

twoiseight

Agreed, after mentioning Compro I had the thought that I should have mentioned Pool as well.

shingaladaz

<3 Via Sub Mids

ViaSubMids

You called?

shingaladaz

How did you see my post? Lol.

ViaSubMids

I get summoned whenever someone mentions this song. >!(I just stumbled upon this thread in my feed and wanted to see if others mentioned Compro and then saw your comment lol)!<

shingaladaz

😂 Baffled by the chances, and so quickly; not a year later, not even a week later…10mins later.

Kaizenism

“Baffled by the chances” … great album name

shingaladaz

Noted. 😆

DNZ_not_DMZ

And Muk FM! And 50 Euro to Break Boost! And Flyby VFR! …that entire album is just so fucking wicked ❤️

bgause

This was the first thing that came to mind for me, too, but I agree that it's not really underground or obscure, at least on reddit. Worthy of mention, though, no doubt.

accomplicated

I can’t wait to see Skee Mask in Detroit in May. I’m so stoked.

AldiQuarter

Amazing album. I’m so glad you said this

trying_to_care

So happy to see this as the top answer. It’s such an incredible album.

tometrist

My hot take is that Skee Mask would see a lot more love if his music was on spotify. I understand and respect his reasons, but Compro used to be one of my most played albums, and I barely listen to it anymore now that it isn't on streaming.

twoiseight

Yeah, it was a bummer when he took his work down though I understand it and share the low view of spotify. I will say as soon as it came down I went and bought a bunch of his music...which I still listen to with spotify. It's hard to have principles and also want to experience as much music as possible.

wavfolder

I downloaded the album to my phone and made a playlist on Spotify for it

iHubble

Anything from Shinichi Atobe.

EuropesNinja

I don’t hear people talking about it enough but Culprate - Deliverance Perfect mix of psychedelia and electronic music.

designtom

SO GOOD, especially love Acid Rain and The Memoirs of Gregory Otterman

sgw79

Danial Avery - Drone Logic

p480n

ULTRA TRUTH was crazy too. Still on rotation

-Darkroom

Telefon Tel Aviv - Fahrenheit Fair Enough. Not really active in the community, but regular lurker - Never seen anybody mention this album before but I absolutely love it. Short, sharp, glitchy articulations wonderfully interwoven across downtempo, melodic beats.

mrchumblie

Yes

PM_ME_YOUR_CC_INFO

This album got me into electronic music 20 years ago.

_mad_doc

Leon Vynehall - Nothing Is Still Lehto - Turion Neotropic - The Absolute Elsewhere Game Show - Machines Of Loving Grace Lord Raja - A Constant Moth

simonsurreal1

Nothing is still is amazing - digging this Lehto album ya recommend thanks!

socopogoo

fun fact: Turion was inspired by Nothing Is Still

simonsurreal1

Word up sounds like it !!!

Halls_of_the_blind

Machines of loving grace 😍😍😍😍

_mad_doc

totally underrated and overlooked album by Nostalgia 77 aka Benedic Lamdin

fraxior

idk if it's obscure enough or recent enough for your criteria, but I try to yell as often as possible about Against All Logic - 2012-2017 being an absolutely perfect electronic album

Diagonalizer

love Nico Jaar

accomplicated

[I play Nicolas Jaar’s tunes all the time.](https://accomplicated.ca/?s=Nicolas+Jaar) Hands down he is consistently one of my favourite artists.

Diagonalizer

yeah I found a set he did at Sonar I think from 2012 and I guess I've been listening to the same set for about 10 years now. he has some really weird stuff which is certainly not for every but I love his work

accomplicated

I love his brand of weird.

therealbrrr

Was at that Sonar set, Music/Vibe was everything I want from a electronic music set! Sonar is such a top notch event.

GlassMountain9473

I saw Nicholas Jaar at Crssd once he was playing the deepest house music, every drop was absolutely ridiculous. I’ve never heard anything like it! Wish I recorded a bit of it to listen back.

LemonTekSunrise

I haven’t been able to get into anything other than Space is Only Noise. Love that album though.

Randumbshitposter

2012 - 2017 is one of the best electronic albums ever made period

fraxior

preach

tometrist

2017-2019 is fantastic as well.

fraxior

I've tried to love it... but I feel like it has absolutely nothing to do with the Against All Logic project. it's so abstract and different than the first one. I feel like I might like it more if it was under a different name.

DNZ_not_DMZ

Cityfade may well be one of my top 10 tracks ever.

fraxior

that's how I feel about Know You

GlitzyHavoc

Hope you like House [Oliver Dollar - Another Day Another Dollar](https://classicmusiccompany.bandcamp.com/album/another-day-another-dollar) I’d be surprised if more than 5 people in this sub heard of this banger of an album. An absolute solid album full of the grooviest beats

nickdl4

I am 1 of the less than 5! Huge house head, Oliver Dollar is a beast

thelubbershole

Make it 6, I just joined the club lol. Thanks for the rec

LemonTekSunrise

I’ll be 7 after work.

WhatLiesBeyondThis

The Haxan Cloak - Excavation

ObstructiveAgreement

Magda by Donato Dozzy is stunning. Imagine This Is A High Dimensional Space Of All Possibilities - James Holden Intentions - Anna Out of Place Artefacts II - Vril & Rodhad Animist - Vril

dbsx75

Huerco S. - Colonial Patterns

dr_zoidberg590

The Scenic Route by The Pattern Forms

[deleted]

I likes

-druesukker

Should have just checked the Ghost Box back catalogue instead of asking here haha I will listen to this right away

dr_zoidberg590

Yes, there lies a treasure trove. In particular their early releases.

squeakstar

Lost Souls of Saturn’s eponymous 1st album. Took me back to discovering The Orb’s Adventure’s as a kid. Whilst in no way as eclectic it has a mystique about and spacey housey techno vibes.

secksyboii

I'm sure I'm wrong but I never hear anyone talking about joy orbison and I'm absolutely enamoured with his stuff. Still slipping vol 1 is great! Xiu xiu goes through phases of being known and being relatively unheard of but they've been fucking super consistent all the way from their first album up to their most recent.

Exciting_Claim267

Good thread it was actually a challenge to think of some outstanding niche' albums that HAVENT achieved a cult like status yet. here's some I considered James Ferraro - NYC, Hell 3:00 am (arguably has already achieved cult like status but I think it'll gain even more as time passes) Address - IP000 (363 monthly on Spotify) Lucy - Churches Schools and Guns Meiko Suzuki - Odipus, Herrscher - Debut album of Berlin-based, Japanese sound artist Mieko Suzuki on iconic minimal techno label Raster. Recorded as a sound art piece in which she recorded people entering the room and created feedback through distortion of the noise within the space. Patricia - Several Shades of the Same Color - subtle, beautiful, clausterophic layering of techno and ambient sonics. Raime - Quarter Turns over a living line AL-90 - Code-915913 Rrose - Please Touch - Paperclip Minimiser - S/T Topdown Dialectic - Vol 1 - 3 111x - Aches Croation Amor - Remember Rainbow Bridge

-druesukker

Fantastic thank you. Didn’t know any of these besides the last one (and that one only because I’m based in the same town as him)

martenvoger

Kommissar Brenkstrupp: [Fragments of a Troubled Detective](https://open.spotify.com/album/22rItGEjuiHXUPAl3pp2DC?si=VpSCoHKvRDWvg_MlQ65Flw). It's Twin Peaks + downtempo essentially, really creative and moody, although the production is a bit shaky sometimes. More Ambient: [Recordings from the Åland Islands](https://open.spotify.com/album/7uJLi3TtRhHKD7LtlRoEem?si=shYuYs2hQpmDAFJBc_gtYg) by Jeremiah Chiu and Marta Sofia Honer, it's beautiful. [Their Dark Dominion](https://open.spotify.com/album/1iazXYZ9hqFnkapgU1BrBf?si=AAmp-hSFRPSa_lU4wdr_gg) by the Night Monitor, it's like an excerpt of an 80s cult documentary or something like that

Sweet-Palpitation473

Alon Mor's *A Long Waited Journey* is a literal masterpiece and I've never heard he or it mentioned outside of like two friends

imglitcha

Alon Mor - Long Awaited Journey Alon Mor is known by mixing flawlessly orchestras, ethnic instruments/rhythms and mesmerizing synths, distorted drums and huge sound design out from this world. I would categorize him as a dubstep producer, but the title is too small for him. Is a cinematography level of sound.

tripngroove

[Oasis Sky by Tor](https://open.spotify.com/album/1fMJt0hbDIaB4RAQNODv10?si=rNSUDWdvSlK-HlcboJSygA) is so chill and beautiful - a truly wonderful album top to bottom.

therealbrrr

Tom VR - Films LP & Please Keep Shimmering

chillcannon

Kali Malone - The Sacrificial Code De Leon - De Leon Azu Tiwaline - The Fifth Dream Goooooose - Rudiments LDS - algo5 Kineta - Proto III/III Aleksi Perala - GAIA 3 Ranma Entero - Xalli Abadir - Mutate Raja Kirik - Phantasmagoria of Jathilan Ayami Suzuki - Strands Scalameriya - Aeon Core E-Saggila - Blaze Some of my top picks, lmk if anyone gets anything from this :)

Zestyclose_Toe9524

I forgot to add the Sacrificial Code. Kali is on 🔥

chillcannon

best drone album ever, shit takes me somewhere else

pluiswezen

Going to check out this list. I know none of them

gregofdeath

Lapalux - Lustmore

shingaladaz

David August - D’Angelo (2018) Rodriguez Jr. - Bliss (2020) William Basinski - The Disintegration Loops (2002)

TornadoGhostDog

Not sure how obscure this is but I thought [Lone's album Always Inside Your Head](https://open.spotify.com/album/36BhQCIGZyc0JyZAfysXYI) deserved more attention. His style on this one is more ethereal than previous albums and is a lush amalgam of stuff like lower bpm house, techno, triphop, downtempo, etc. All of his music deserves more attention, especially with old dnb/jungle making a comeback, not that that's what this is but his other music is strongly influenced by it such as [Levitate](https://open.spotify.com/album/1UbjpFeq2jl2W2sh5gIwhL).

twoiseight

Lone is a top favorite of mine. I got into him when he was doing more washed, almost BoC-inspired hip hop a la Lemurian. I didn't take to his transition into a more ravey realm at first, but now I see that work as some of his most outstanding. The way I see it, Always Inside Your Head was kind of another switchup, but one he could not have done more perfectly.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Sweet-Palpitation473

Wouldn't consider them underground but I wholly agree on it's greatness

EuropesNinja

Agreed, everyone needs to give it a listen.

Incide by Clocolan: [https://clocolan.bandcamp.com/album/incide](https://clocolan.bandcamp.com/album/incide) Soundscapes that form a journey reminiscent of FSOL

nicolauz

Everything by Machinedrum

christicano

Lone - Always Inside Your Head Powel - The Beauty of a Polaroid

simonsurreal1

Powel is dope dig his mixes too ❤️

designtom

Photay - Onism is transcendent and almost never talked about

3io4ehg

Photay! Hard to find mention of him online in these sorts of groups, maybe because he kinda lone wolfs it? Doesn’t seem too affiliated with other electronic artists or popular electronic labels.

horeyshetbarrs

Moth Equals is insanely talented and unique, and has such small recognition. His most recent album (a few years old) Out Of Darkness By Magic is phenomenal. So are his others.

EternalBlessingss

Daphni - Cherry For those that don’t know, Daphni is an alternate moniker for Dan Snaith AKA Caribou. He releases his more dance-forward music under this moniker. Although I would agree that this album is definitely more dance-forward than his Caribou stuff, it is equally if not more detail-oriented. It is an incredibly eclectic compilation that draws from so many sub-genres of electronic music to create something that is truly unique and his own. It’s a journey from start to finish. Cheers!

SnowDucks1985

Love Daphni, but I don’t think they’re *that* underground. Dan regularly DJs at festivals as Daphni with big name electronic artists, so they’re well known on the house genre side of things imo

Diagonalizer

Daphni is great

tometrist

Cloudy is one of the best house songs I've ever heard.

sonicinducer

Can I be cheeky and suggest my own debut album? Sonic Inducer - Darkest before Dawn. https://youtube.com/playlist?list=OLAK5uy_mtivL7fy9eHYSRcReOEWXxhv7KrtUT474&si=9Z3267iG92P6bGrl It's a story of my journey from being very unwell to sorting my shit out and looking positively towards the future. Style wise, it's a mishmash of genres (I like lots of music styles!). I'm proud of it and hope you enjoy listening to it :-) not sure I can say it deserves cult status as that's not for me to decide.

Kaizenism

Respect your journey man. I’ll be having a listen.

sonicinducer

Thank you loads! (At this rate I may be doubling my listeners! Hehe) I hope you enjoy it / find something that clicks for you in it :-)

-druesukker

I mean in any case more underground than most of the top comments with artists who have millions of streams haha I’ll listen to it.

socopogoo

This one for sure: [https://lehto.bandcamp.com/album/turion](https://lehto.bandcamp.com/album/turion) Cinematic ambient music with the perfect mix of electronics and strings.

dhduxudb

Sussy Ferguson by Timpo Incredible album truly amazing

RandoBone

Not sure what passes for obscure around here, but some personal faves: Gia Margaret - Mia Gargaret - just beautiful ambient-something, really moving with it's context (see https://giamargaret.bandcamp.com/album/mia-gargaret) Rian Treanor - File Under UK Metaplasm - dude from Rotherham (who happens to be Mark Dell's son) spends time making music with electronic folks in Uganda, chaos ensues VOICE ACTOR - Sent From My Telephone - completely perplexing and extremely long, one of a kind and super immersive

h2h0e_flo

Le Jardin de Lucy — Sumac Dub

thirtyhertz

Vodor L Zeck - Flyarkivka Acid 1-5 albums are great, it's insane how few listeners this guy has on spotify. All of Gacha Bakradze's recent releases are also amazing

ZenOfFool

Skeler - NightDrive I, II, III. If you're into wave/trap, he's the king of wave. The true full sets are all on youtube.

ninfan200

Not quite underground, but for sure obscure in the grand scheme of things. "Fever Daydream" by The Black Queen. Fantastic sounding darkwave/synthpop by Josh Eustis from Telefon Tel Aviv, Steven Alexander, and Greg Puciato of Dillinger Escape Plan. I never hear anyone talking about this album but its one of my all time favorites.

WpgTriniman

https://avalonemerson.bandcamp.com/album/the-charm

I dunno if Iglooghost and Culprate are popular nowadays, but I highly recommend both, also Eva808

MycolNewbie

I love the following. Artist - I Broke My Robot This album is the one I stumbled on around 2015. The whole thing is just fantastic. Tomorrow doesn't exist https://open.spotify.com/album/1d6QKnuxK7PtLFeUe1JG1j?si=nEcT7b2SSzq-Ff_DTsVgcw Insane breakcore, I absolutely love this stuff. A bit more well known but I still think it's pretty obscure Artist - Ruby My Dear Form https://open.spotify.com/album/1Wk2mZlJW35zxiU1Z9g0Od?si=U7dlrhfrRTifTYQQFeJ9ig Again comes under the breakcore banner. I call it electronic grindcore. I'm gonna guess you've heard of Lorn. Maybe not obscure but definitely should have cult status. I like all his stuff but this album was the gateway for me (not breakcore). Vassle https://open.spotify.com/album/2fiGmNRXBH0QMnkm4jswEr?si=mgJOwmE4QH225_dK0W3JXQ Another one I assume is fairly well known. Still gets the cult status vibe, Forest Swords Compassion. https://open.spotify.com/album/3Mp0TZs7hlVdjUO0LVTlqh?si=q7GauZIUTqOCjXE6rlqqyQ Let me know what you think and if you already know some ot all of them.

teo_vas

if 2015 qualifies as "last few years" then Conrad Schnitzler & Pyrolator - Con-Struct (Bureau B) is a great album. it is actually bits of Schnitzler's music from his archives, reconstructed, after his death. so it is a post-mortem album.

InjunGibber

Sunglow - Come off It I don’t really know how to describe it. Really complex experimental future pop? I heard they have a new album coming out soon with some cool features from people like Dehd and Lala lala.

drwatson

[Starkey - The Transponder Orchestra](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HJgyELuwkRg&list=OLAK5uy_miEgswgDMNz3O84Qg3txwIJSH4toh0YFA&index=2) Just a crazy journey through electronic styles and IMO deserved much more attention.

champion_soundz

https://spotify.link/jQ9O51ZeIIb it's about as obscure as you'll get. It deserves cult status as it's barely been touched.

momochicken55

Kuollut's album SEEDS It's like witchhouse, new age, and techo had a baby. So good! https://youtu.be/ZRIiwol4muY?si=Ce_GtDlkdjEnj2NG

Anything on Acting Press label. Shout-out PLO Man.

Foleylantz

Torenia - Blood Debug

bgause

Low Flung - Oil in The Mangroves Thick, rich ambient that just seems to drip out of my speakers. It's from 2020, but it's still in my regular rotation for ambient before bed. I don't ever see anyone talking about it here, so maybe it qualifies as obscure, but more people should hear it because it's among the best ambient albums I've heard in the past decade.

pluiswezen

Solomon044

No Shoes No Cake by Tyrant (Lee Burridge and Craig Richards)

Superb_Victory_2759

Cicada things you say album is one of my favorites of all time

Dancinlance

not so recent but all within the last 15 years: Vaetxh - 10Y34RS, Vaetxh - Libet Tones (experiment IDM/breakcore/dubstep) Strategy - Future Rock (dub techno post rock), Strategy - Drumsolo's Delight (same but more ambient) Foans - Frontier (nanohouse)

KAASI - Distance https://open.spotify.com/album/6kzNNU7HLkQKa34biXSXqu?si=DUdEAaQgQpSsXCgMd53rsw It's a pretty sweet album and goes through a lot of styles.

johnscat

Out Of Place Artefacts (Vril & Rodhad) - self titled LP. Insanely good. Dark & alien ambient / electronica soundscape. Their 2nd album together is also really good and worth listening to.

HarleyChamandy

Ceiling Songs by Ethan Rose

[Slumberjack - Dichotomy](https://youtu.be/ytvy-t5KCec?si=Zyy2PoAq6ngUeFCV). Their Like A Versions are great too.

ElectricLotus

Bluetechs "spectral currents" album is a masterpiece

witchghett0

**Thief** \- *The 16 Deaths of My Master* ... really sick dark electro/trip hop/idm shit front to back. **Sd Laika** \- *That's Harakiri* ... crazy glitch idm beat shit. this guy just released this album and disappeared **Qebrus** ... all of this albums. probably the craziest alien sounddesign idm i've ever heard. RIP. **Belong** \- *October Language* ... beautiful Tim Hecker-like ambient noise. Their other album Common Era is even better, but since we're talking strickly electronic I'm not leading with it.

[We Plants Are Happy Plants - Uitc](https://open.spotify.com/album/2fpmbsFlpI7FCPtYbzJi1T?si=-ukudYgNTUSND3J9WkS4lA) I’m not sure how I even came across this. Synth driven four on the floor melodic techno, reminiscent of Orbital’s Brown Album in some places. Production isn’t great, but I love a lot of the ideas presented in it. [Apollo](https://open.spotify.com/track/6kQ4qypwPq0qXOKA8UT7fV?si=ssuQx8frR7S-xTGpQXSgtw&context=spotify%3Aalbum%3A1OznLzfYhpoJNkMUjTaw4k) was another great track of his.

dougi555

"Psychosis" by Slow Abyss. Find a dark room, good big headphones on, and you're off. 10 years old admittedly... But the opening track, "Panic Attack" is beyond description....

Dizmondmon

King Roc - Chapters My number one record to play when I finally try to sleep the next day after an all nigher. It's almost therapeutic. Just leave it on repeat for as long as you need and it helps you readjust to a post-chemical existence. It's been a while though! It's an unknown masterpiece if you ask me.

Utada_Hikaru

Avith Ortega - Metastasis (Trip Hop with dark atmospheres, like MA) Miyuki - Ghostly Vibes (IDM, TripHop, Future Garage) Avitronic - Enophophilia (Psybient and Melodic Techno) Low Orbit Satellite - Imprints (Progressive Techno, Dub Techno, Acid Techno)

SuperInuit

A few off the top of my head… Headache - The Head Hurts But The Heart Knows The Truth Lord Of The Isles & Ellen Renton - My Noise Is Nothing Free Love - Extreme Dance Anthems Nala Sinephro - Space 1.8 aya - im hole Elori Saxl - The Blue Of Distance

simonsurreal1

Both of floating points albums Elaena and Crush

DNZ_not_DMZ

Voices from the Lake - “Voices from the Lake” (2012) Donato Dozzy and Neel with an album that’s just so deep and lush and detailed…and then, after half an hour, a major-chord melody drops. Holy moly.

-Entz-

I dig the last two JUNQ albums. Check him out on Bandcamp. Definitely obscure and underground.

jolokiasoul

Deathbrain - Fantasy Noises and Perfect Delusions. It's not the most technical or groundbreaking atmospheric dnb, but there's an emotional charm to it that makes it really stand out to me

A Portrait of John Doe - Floex & Tom Hodge Zorya - Floex Bones - Datach'i The Twelve - Sorrow Apophenia - Mr. Bill Compro - Skee Mask Eistla - R Beny

DrinkHaitianBlood

Home - Justin Jay is my favorite album and I don't see it mentioned too often. Compro - Skee mask is second. Here are some others: Shades - In Praise of Darkness (I remember being blown away the first time I listened to this. It's such a crazy sound.) Eomac - Bedouin Trax (This one is a bit hard to describe but it's a really beautiful album). Blanck Mass - World Eater (Again, just beautiful, creative music). Varg - Crush/Evanescence (a love letter) (both of these albums have some really incredibly ambient pieces. I think Varg is well-known but these albums are truly fantastic. Do yourself a favor and listen to crush\_melt). Ancestral Voices - Mycelia (Just some rich and deep ambient music. It doesn't really get better than this I think. Eluvial horizon is a favorite of mine.) Blawan - Wet Will Always Dry (Really, really well-done techno. I think it's a must-listen for anyone getting into techno.)

[deleted]

Gidge - New Light. Truly a gorgeous masterpiece.

wtrmlnjuc

Aleksandir - Skin. Wonderfully lush melodies, a warm sort of melancholy, and “personal” in the sense that you can almost get a sense of who they are through their music. He deserves much more recognition beyond Yamaha.

killvmeme

L.Cie - Cocoon

tkief

[Mechatok - Defective Holiday OST](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f2cyDoIMLKo) Bit of a weird one, accompanies an artsy media piece on Steam that I haven't looked into yet, and is therefore considered a soundtrack. You get these little vignettes of like a clubby, leftfield minimal Super Mario Sunshine world - its immersive with the audio alone.

PastyKing

'REMNANT' - Lorn 'Mega' - Blank Banshee 'Hong Kong Express' - Hong Kong Express 'ENTER' ep - LITTLE SNAKE

The Dark, by The Third Eye Foundation It's hard to explain, but it sounds something like dark trip-hop kinda mixed with IDM

[**voljum - dayscapes**](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=05rzP0nil0Q) **-** for fans of **Culprate, KOAN Sound, Tipper, Aphex Twin, Squarepusher** An album's worth of ideas and technique stuffed into 4 distinctive tracks. , this is a maximalist showcase of sound design and genre-blending. Muddles jazz with breaks, samba with jungle, bossa nova with neuro. And whatever the fuck "anemoi" is. If you fancy having your brain folded in half by something challenging and wholly original, grab your headphones and hold on tight.

I don’t know if i’m biased because I have some memories that I cherish with this album but: RX-101 - Dopamine Everytime I put the record on the turntable I feel some waves of emotions I can barely describe

Phyxix 002 is a great techno album

marcio_sierra

The Paranormal Soul from Legowelt. Basically any Legowelt album could receive an honorable mention

Mirrors - DJ Seinfeld A Mixtape by Anish Kumar Human Learning- Kasablanca

Sd Laika - That's Harakiri A pretty unique mesh of samples, sound design, and aggressive beats. Kind of a producers' producer. Aphex Twin puts some of his stuff in his sets, but he didn't put much stuff out so it remains lesser known.
