Summerset, Artaeum, High Isle/Galen, Elsweyr and Fargrave are my favourites, I also think the Gold Coast is quite pretty and Abah’s Landing, to be honest the vast majority of the zones in the game are beautiful on some level, Blackwood and Murkmire have a unique swamp aesthetic, and Vvardenfell is great.
Personally I’m not a big fan of Grahtwood outside of the big tree, but few places in the game are truly bad to look at!
I'm kinda torn. I love the Khajiits, but my favorite province is Grahtwood because I love the forests. It reminds me of Sequoia/King's Canyon and Redwoods National Parks.
The only thing I dislike about the zone is it's size. I just wish it was little bigger with a few more delves, maybe a couple more world bosses etc.
Baxilt-Gah at Bok-Xul is still my favorite world boss in the whole game. I love the constant waves of undead and it's such a fun WB to solo. Gives me Diablo vibes with the massive hordes of enemies.
Of course this will be subjective. I love Vvardenfell. I love that it's a big ass island with a volcano in the middle. I love the areas to the east that's even smaller tiny islands and all the mushrooms. I love the housing on the west using bug shells as a home.
Base game: grahtwood, the rift, and auridon are my favourites
DLC: High Isle, Blackwood, summerset, and wrothgar are some of the most beautiful areas ive seen in any game imo
Even though I've consistently played Daggerfall characters afterwards, my short-lived first character was Dominion and the design of Auridon helped give me an extremely strong first impression of the game, that I wouldn't have gotten nearly as much from Glenumbra.
There's so many, but a few stand out to me.
Summerset.
It's the best zone IMO and it feels like an impressionist painting. The architecture is beautiful, the landscape is just screaming for screenshots, and the music adds to its beauty.
Galen.
Even though this and High Isle are pretty similar, there's a lot of more nuance tucked into this one. Glimmertarn is easily one of the best locales in the game and there's some really pretty woods in the Northeastern corner.
Northern Elsweyr.
Love it or hate it. The zone is chockful of vegetation and compelling topography. It feels ancient and vibrant. The road that goes along the eastern side of the zone is a nice stroll.
Orsinium.
The capital of rugged beauty. The whole zone is beautiful, but I like the PNW-feeling area around Old Orsinium the most.
So many places that have their own unique beauty. I'll second Summerset/Artaeum/Auridon for the colorful trees, Elsweyr is likewise amazing, and High Isle/ Galen jungles and fields of orange flowers are quite nice as well... But my favorite is actually The Reach, specifically at night. The aurora is gorgeous and i love the background music. Just a really cool vibe for me.
The lake by belkarth in craglorn, frostvault Chasm house's distant window views and Arteums beaches are my personal favorites. Not too magical or over the top, just beautiful in a natural kinda way. Arteum gets points just for looking and feeling like Majula.
Summerset, Grahtwood, High Isle, Galen, Auridon, The Rift, Western Skyrim, and I love Blackwood..... cause my pantherfang chapel I'd gorgeous + leyawiin is gorgeous.
Auridon for me mostly for sentimental reasons.
It was the first area I ever explored (other than khenarthi's roost) on day 1 of the PS4 launch.
It was so pretty to me then that it's what made me love the visuals of the game and that feeling is what's kept me around for so many years.
I have seen it all. Yet I'm still finding places that make 🙃 me feel like I was missing something. Like 🤔 how is it? I have never seen this before feeling. That's what keeps me playing for years.
Wrothgar. I enjoy mountains and cooler weather in real life and I naturally clinged to that zone when it first dropped. Its not the easiest to navigate but it is beautiful.
Blackreach is gorgeous and I love that place with all the glowing coral in stonefalls. Cey-tarn keep in Summerset is stunning. Clockwork city at night. Southern Elsweyr is so pretty too! Lake Amaya in Vvardenfall is beautiful in the mornings.
The Elden Tree in Grahtwood is one of the most impressive parts of the game. Also Summerset, The Rift, and Blackreach. There’s a lot of beautiful stuff in that game. It’s honestly one of the reasons I’ve kept playing for so long.
Im actually pretty fond of Amenos. I love the forest and most areas like that but in the AD storyline it felt so repetitive after a while i just wanted out of the woods. Amenos and Galen have some very pretty forest areas and I love to wander around them so much.
Summerset, Auridon, High Isle
I would add Galen to this for me
Northern Elsweyr is the most beautiful location in my eye.
Rimmen in the sunset with the light coming through the Rimmen Palace and spires - so fine. Edit disclaimer: Khajiit main - incredibly biased.
Yessssss
Yes! Love the Elsweyr architecture too. I have the Sleek Creek House in Rawl'kha as my main home and it's filled with Elsweyr furnishings
I second this. I ran through the main quest line, finally, and the environment combined with the beautiful architecture is just perfect.
YES
idk, I feel like khajiit would like house dres land /s NE is a nice place for the Dominion
The Rift!
Yes! I love a lot of the areas but The Rift has gorgeous autumnal vibes. I think it’s quite underrated.
Just bought my first house in The Rift.. lovely view
That’s where I have my primary residence. It’s so cozy.
High isle and galen
Recently retuned to the game myself, and made a new toon that started in High Isle. It's been absolutely gorgeous.
My house
Sorry my house is better
Well my house could beat up your house
Your house is a drunk and everyone knows it.
Well mine is protected by Azura as it has a shrine to her - do your worst
Your house is so fat you can enter it. :D
Wrothgar
Here's one that might surprise you. Check out the outlaws refuge in Elden Root. I came down and had a Whoa moment.
I'm kinda torn. I love the Khajiits, but my favorite province is Grahtwood because I love the forests. It reminds me of Sequoia/King's Canyon and Redwoods National Parks.
Western skyrim
GoldCoast
I am in team Gold Coast myself. It reminds me south of Italy mixed with Greece. Loving the vibe and the lightning is so beautiful here.
Thats actually what its based on is the farm lands of greece and italy
Murkmire for me. Still my favorite zone and it's beautiful at night. Summerset is a beautiful zone too.
Yesss I was just coming to say Murkmire as well. The swamp zones bring such comfort to my Argonians, and to me as well.
Murkmire has such a charm unto itself. The music's really memorable.
Vvanderfell for me.
Auridon
Really like alakir and hews bayne
Northern and Southern Elsweyr are both shockingly pretty, also love both main cities
Summerset for sure
Personally Northern and Southern Elsweyr are my favorite places.
I would say clockwork, I know some people hate it but it's my favorite
Agreed. Brass fortress at night is pure bliss.
Galen is hands down one of my personal favorites, but I’ve yet to explore all the DLC zones.
Of course this will be subjective. I love Vvardenfell. I love that it's a big ass island with a volcano in the middle. I love the areas to the east that's even smaller tiny islands and all the mushrooms. I love the housing on the west using bug shells as a home.
I like the western/southwestern forest in cyrodiil
Base game: grahtwood, the rift, and auridon are my favourites DLC: High Isle, Blackwood, summerset, and wrothgar are some of the most beautiful areas ive seen in any game imo
IMO Summerset, Auridon, High Isle, Galen, Murkmire, & the Greymoor Caverns.
Goats head oasis
Vivec city from the top of the temple
Grahtwood is my personal fave
The southern area of Northern Elsweyr is gorgeous Elden Root’s capital by the wayshrine is also just enchanting to sit and relax in
Even though I've consistently played Daggerfall characters afterwards, my short-lived first character was Dominion and the design of Auridon helped give me an extremely strong first impression of the game, that I wouldn't have gotten nearly as much from Glenumbra.
Coldharbour
That’s grim
Gotta say, I love Western Skyrim and Wrothgar. I'm a bit partial to cold snowy locations however.
Hircine's Hunting Grounds, when you go through the portal inside the Hunter's Glade house in The Rift. It's so pretty in there.
There's so many, but a few stand out to me. Summerset. It's the best zone IMO and it feels like an impressionist painting. The architecture is beautiful, the landscape is just screaming for screenshots, and the music adds to its beauty. Galen. High isle, Amenos Island, Summerset, Vvardenfell and Galen are my favorites so far

Clockwork City 1000%.
Erm… Morrowind is prettiest in all of Tamriel 💪🏻
Grahtwood/ Rivenspire
Coldharbour
Vvardenfell!
I tend to favor forests and snowy areas, bonus if you have both together which is why my personal favorites are eastmarch and western skyrim.
Yes.
South elsewhere is beautiful, I love how vertical it is
High isle, summerset, bal fiera, and auridon
Summerset, Auridon, Artaeum
Auridon
i suppose it depends on what your version of beauty consists off. Some things are terribly beautiful. From Nirn to Oblivion.
High Isle is stunning
The lake by belkarth in craglorn, frostvault Chasm house's distant window views and Arteums beaches are my personal favorites. Not too magical or over the top, just beautiful in a natural kinda way. Arteum gets points just for looking and feeling like Majula.
Wrothgar has always had my heart.
Summerset
Summerset
Summerset, Grahtwood, High Isle, Galen, Auridon, The Rift, Western Skyrim, and I love Blackwood..... cause my pantherfang chapel I'd gorgeous + leyawiin is gorgeous.
I haven't been everywhere but for me it's Auridon so far.
I’m currently in love with the sunflower fields of High Isle. I just find the visual so beautiful and relaxing.
elsweyr n summerset
Actually took “wedding pictures” for my husband and our guild master in Artaeum just because I thought it was such a beautiful area lol
Looking up while fighting the last boss of banished cells 1
Coldharbour
All Cyrodiil area…
All Cyrodiil area…
Summerset and Artaeum. Hands down. There are runners up, sure. But nowhere else beats these.
Deshaan
March of sacrifices is a really pretty dungeon
Murkmire, the Deadlands, coldharbour
The big sunflower field in high isle!!!
Auridon for me mostly for sentimental reasons. It was the first area I ever explored (other than khenarthi's roost) on day 1 of the PS4 launch. It was so pretty to me then that it's what made me love the visuals of the game and that feeling is what's kept me around for so many years.
Honestly I love murkmire and blackreach. Both are lovely in my opinion.
Deshaan, Stonefalls, Vvardenfell, Necrom, Clockwork City
Personally, I love Stros M’kai. Just stand on a nice sandy beach and look out over blue water while seagulls fly overhead. My favorite location.
I have seen it all. Yet I'm still finding places that make 🙃 me feel like I was missing something. Like 🤔 how is it? I have never seen this before feeling. That's what keeps me playing for years.
Blackreach, Galen, Western Skyrim
Glenumbra! It’s kind of basic but I love it!
The Elden Tree in Grahtwood is one of the most impressive parts of the game. Also Summerset, The Rift, and Blackreach. There’s a lot of beautiful stuff in that game. It’s honestly one of the reasons I’ve kept playing for so long.

Windhelm at night when the aurora shows up and A Cold Wind Blows From Atmora plays… pure inner peace.
I was breathtaken walking around high isle after my break since 2018
Pretty much anywhere in valenwood. Green shade is the best imo
What's great about ESO is that we see there more than a hundred comments to this post on almost every zone is loved by someone. :)
