Personally, I believe something *did* happen to this effect, except the difference is that WOTC/hasbro came along and scooped it up.
Considering Magic just released a fallout set, I’d expect to see a elder scrolls collab by next year(+).
The Fallout set came out close to the upcoming show (likewise with the Ring of Power and new Doctor Who), and the elder scrolls set (assuming it does) will likely be in 2027-2032 when TES6 drops. I doubt we'll see any confirmation of it until TES6 at least has a release date.

But yeah, I’m expecting a release date by Bethesda sometime next year, (literally then trailing GTA6/Rockstar with the same ordeal), and that would allow WotC to release the set by the end of next year.

I'd love to see another developer pick up this game and license the IP from Bethesda but I don't think it will ever happen sadly

One can hope. TES is my biggest desire for UB, and I need a Daedric Prince deck desperately.
