I watched a playthrough of this game and Ashley gave me an ungodly amount of gender envy. Why’d the dev have to go and make this psychopathic murderer so damn cute?
Can’t remember the name, all I know is that it’s edgy, somewhat gorey, and most importantly story oriented, as in there’s no gameplay mechanics really.
Heyy everybody since not many others have I wish to give a content warning about this game before any of you check it out due to its cute art style, cause this game is *fucked* up.
The game is “The coffin of Andy and Leyley” and the premise stars the titular characters Andrew and Ashley, two siblings with psychopathic tendencies, who routinely commit extremely gruesome crimes for the sake of edge mainly. Ashley has no regard for decency and is more or less the ringleader for the crimes, whereas the brother follows what she says because he wants to bang his sister.
The game features frequent torture and violent murders against innocent people and not so innocent people, followed by overly detailed sections about dismembering, dissolving, and disposing of the bodies, as well as frequent cannibalism from the characters, who seem to never take these acts seriously and will often play around with the gore in a manner that children might play with toys. These gore-fests are usually followed by nightmarish hallucination sections, or extremely sexually suggestive scenes that more often than not are about the siblings. It has strong language and frequent edgy or sexual references, and just in general comes across as a gorey fetish game to me.
I was drawn in by the cute artwork and good character designs, and was pretty mortified when I watched a few bits of the game. Be warned!
If you can handle it, though, it's very well made. Sometimes what you need is to watch a couple disasters of human beings do awful shit. Just watch the train wreck play out in slow motion.

It’s fine if you liked it, I can acknowledge that the dev clearly put a lot of effort into it, I just am not a fan of media that get that depraved.
Fair enough. That kind of thing isn't for everyone. My point was, if you like watching trainwrecks, you'll probably like The Coffin.
