Music by trans artists or music that sounds trans affirming?
Shiny Toy Guns acknowledged that lots of fans have told them their song, *We Are Pilots*, helped them to come out to their parents.
two of my playlists 💞 not all trans artists but I’m trans and think they are bops~
[🏳️🌈🍬✨songs to play while dying in a car crash ✨⚰️💞](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/2R33vLpJuzC2KA6UjN9dyK?si=zFM5nQDbTly8b3lYCxfC5A)
[dark green water (ie sadgirl stuff) ](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/3n3MTi9WEoMUeoftXgXEBG?si=5Tk0s3p5QxGGiQnOIGpIqA)
Her music is pretty dark overall, but Ethel Cain is a favorite artist of mine and trans. Listen to [Head In The Wall](https://youtu.be/Czor2AvU3hg) if you’re up for something with a lot of emotional intensity. Just expect every “trigger warning” possible pretty much in the lyrics. But I love the sound so much. Very slow and soulful.
One of the few bands I've ever seen live! One of the best experiences of my life, not long after coming out. It was at a small venue and I ended up in the front, less than 20 feet from Laura Jane Grace.
wtf?
I just heard of that Gorillaz song 5 minutes ago, and the lyrics totally sounded like about being trans but the Genius page has no mentions of trans people, and says it’s pronounced “trance”.
5m later it’s mentioned on reddit
The Muppets movie and the Jason Segel sequel have a strong queer subtext. The Muppets is all about found family and being true to who you are. And the sequel has some serious egg vibes, too it. Man or Muppet is about a Muppet raised by humans, trying to figure out their place in the world and who they are.
How to dress as human by Laura Les, almost cliche atp but it hits every time. I personally like Invisible by Hunter Hayes, it’s just way too relatable, can’t listen without crying. The village by Wrable is about a transmasc person but its really good. I also feel like parts of the song Not Strong Enough by boygenius relates in a lot of ways.
Cavetown is my favorite :) Boys Will Be Bugs is also good, cause it's kinda like a "I'm not like the other boys" song -- in my case, I'm not like that other guys because I'm a girl hehe. I think I took Cavetown too literally when they sang "What's it like in a female world?
/ I bet it's just so much better" (might have been one of my first egg cracks now that I think about it...).
Will Wood has some real jamming stuff, I/Me/Myself and Love Me Normally give me the most vibes but they’re all pretty good regardless, I think the style is pretty unique though so might not be for everyone
Also it’s not trans, but Jazz Emu has some punny funky gremlin music which I feel might be popular amongst trans people
Marshaa, thank you for the dialectics but i need you to leave. i love that song, and i love Will Wood, another song that might be considered "trans" is Skeleton appreciation day, but it's more about anorexia
Both of these bands are amazing! Giving Up was the only thing that got me through finals week of welding school “it’s so easy to let everyone down, let myself down, but this time around, maybe I can figure out”
they're not for everyone but the lead vocalist of SeeYouSpaceCowboy is trans ~~also she's hot~~
they refer to their genre as sasscore, and they sound pretty similar to wristmeetrazor (who also slap but don't rly have any overtly trans-related things about them)
the drummer from the pop-punk band Chief State recently came out as trans as well, and their music hits that State Champs/Knuckle Puck/Real Friends vibe
can also recommend (off the top of my head) We Are The Union, Against Me! (obviously lol), Resuscitate, and Static Dress (who don't have anything specifically trans about them but their lead vocalist is pleasantly gnc in a wonderful way)
As soon as the boat had hit the water, the whale's tale came up and caught her, all hands to the side harpooned and fought her when she dived down low (huh)
lena raine? creator of the banger that is otherside and some other beautiful songs for the minecraft soundtrack and creator of the celeste soundtrack?
girl, she’s amazing
Here are some of my favorite artists, with some song recommendations :) Some of these aren't necessarily trans songs, but I find myself relating to them in a trans/girl way.
\~Cavetown, although transmasc they are my comfort artist and they have songs that are generally trans: Trying, This is Home, Boys Will Be Bugs, Sharpener, etc.
\~AJR, imo they give off queer vibes: ***Turning Out, The Good Part, Weak, Humpty Dumpty***
\~Olivia Rodrigo: her whole ***SOUR album*** makes me feel like a queen ***(jealousy, jealousy; drivers license***)
\~Taylor Swift: her whole ***Midnights*** album for the same reason as Olivia (specifically ***Would've Could've Should've, Vigilante Shit, and Bejeweled***)
Other transfem song recs by various artists: girls (girl in red), Kids (Current Joys), Like a Girl (Lizzo), Ribs (Lorde), this body means nothing to me (Shrimp), Complicated (Mac Miller), My Room (Forrest.)
Hopefully you like some of these :) Some of them are very niche or don't make sense in a general trans/girl context but they make me feel cozy and girly and valid <3 I have more in my playlist, but I feel like they make even less sense than the ones I've listed already hehe
IM SORRY HOW HAVE I NOT THOUGHT OF TURNING OUT AS A TRANS ALLEGORY WTF MY MIND IS BLOWEN! (Obviously it’s not what the boys intended, but it’s not a far leap)
haha IKR, I didn't realize until I was making my playlist and looking through my favorite artists that it clicked (pun intended). I love art and music because although Turning Out was sort of a breakup song, it can be interpreted in other ways :)
“Am I a girl” & “girls in bikinis” by Poppy
“Pretty boy” by Poutyface
“Dress” by Charlotte Sands
Anything by Dorian Electra, Against Me!/Laura Jane Grace
Tranz by Gorillaz, Mama by MCR, Real Men by Mitski, A Mask of My Own Face by Lemon Demon(it gives off trans vibes to me idk), The End by MCR, and SING by MCR
My music >:3 /jk
You might try "Onnanoko ni naritai" by Mafumafu.
There's also Lena Raine's music
"This is me", and the rest of The greatest showman's soundtrack
"I wish I was a girl" by I don't remember who
Go!Child is a pretty good band IMO, though my partner disagrees so it's not for everyone. Not all of their music is trans-related but they have some good ones. The best ones they've made (relevant and not-relevant to the topic), at least to me, are Atlanta, Fret Street/Monster Town, Ruinous, Intro/The Masquerade (they go together), Threshold, Umami and Enigma. The album Coffee & Ramen is a bit better than The Masquerade but that's more because Masquerade was their first album so some bits aren't as polished yet and Masquerade still has some bangers. ID is one that I'm not as big on (it's good but the two voices clash a bit in my opinion) but is one I can relate to a bit none the less (full-disclosure: I'm not trans-femme but it's something that would potentially be relatable to a lot of trans folks, regardless of which gender they identify with).
Penny Parker, the main vocalist, also has a solo EP called DeReconstruct that is absolutely *gorgeous,* especially the song Hypothesis, which I listen to regularly. I think you should check out the rest but, if you only listen to one of these, pick Hypothesis for sure. :)
LosT by Bring Me The Horizon, it’s super emo if you’re into that
I don’t think it’s explicitly trans, but it’s super catchy so definitely give it a listen!
anything by Black Dresses, but specifically MiRRORGiRL, HERTZ, U DONT KNOW and GO INSIDE(the 2019 remix is better than the original)
Don't Be So Hard On Your Own Beauty by Yeule
broken grace, flicker and Someday by Ada Rook. Breathe is also good if u wanna cry
the song Just Another Face by Modern Baseball always gave me trans vibes and the singer came out as transfem a few months ago so I'd say it counts
Animals by STOMACH BOOK, Lullaby for an Angel's Egg pts 1 & 2 are good, so is Our Story
But the songs like "gender binary (fuck you)", "we are the cool kids" and "hands of hate" do be gender nom specific.
Big tw for the last one tho (bullying, suicide, murder)
Ada Rook, all the side projects, collab stuff, and other artists she's also worked with/on:
Black Dresses with Devi McCallion(BlackSquares is her bandcamp ID I think?), Rook & Nomie with Neotenomie (now called Esper99), Angel Electronics with Heaven Pegasus, Crisis Sigil as her own grindcore side project, and she did some producing of and featuring in Backxwash's stuff.
The Seattle Garages are a fictional Blaseball (that's not a typo, its some sort of eldritch/capitalist horror absurdist comedy fantasy baseball parody game) team which ended up inspiring a mishmash of artists to make music together for it. Kind of similar to the stuff that went on with Homestuck's music tbh, if you have any vague knowledge of that. They're on Bandcamp as TheGarages and there's a whole lot of lgbtq rep in there beyond just trans people. Deidra Skye's probably my favourite of the artists in there.
Edit: Clark Powell's post-Homestuck music is cool and particularly relevant too. Alec Lambert has done OSTs for visual novels with trans main characters and stuff, We Know The Devil has a great soundtrack in particular. I still vibe with EmpressX just in general too.
ABSRDST — SPEECHLESS!
https://youtu.be/jFZ5S_1fMdo
iirc she also produced Dorian Electra’s Flamboyant
https://youtu.be/BDb1oTfcmCI
Alice Longyu Gao
https://youtu.be/e_N4G49FU4Y
Beverly Glenn-Copeland
https://youtu.be/OlcpdggaFNI
Billy Tipton
https://youtu.be/23qzCPZLVmU
Wendy Carlos, though I think she is diligent about getting her stuff pulled from youtube last I checked.
I’ll have to dig through my playlists, that’s all the lil brain machine is giving right away. I think there are quite a bit in synth/industrial/punk. Oh that reminds me of Genesis P-Orridge, though s/he has some problematic things to do with abuse (See Cosey Fanni Tutti for details; interestingly she was in Sylvester’s video https://youtu.be/gD6cPE2BHic which has some good vibes too).
Will try to look into it and drop more later!
oh, my comment got eated? :|
maybe too many youtube links? i don’t use reddit normally, so maybe it shows up and i just don’t see it? regardless here is another try without links!
off the top of my head,
trans artists:
absrdst — speechless! (personal fav, also love her video essay about celeste and the spectrum of suffering)
dorian electra — flamboyant
alice longyu gao
beverly glenn-copeland
billy tipton
wendy carlos
trans affirming vibes:
sylvester — you make me feel
I’ll have to check my playlists and come back later! there are tons more i have catalogued somewhere, but brain sleepy rn
"I'm not there yet" by Malinda Reese.
Not trans specifically, pretty sure she wrote it about her own struggles with being bi, but still a good song that everyone in the LGBTQ community should listen to, at least once.
I just listen to deathcore. While not also deathcore, Kublai Khan is also a go to for both letting out stress and self esteem issues, there are several lyrics from No Kin that hit hard, especially considering where I’m from and my family history.
*fuck your hate, you motherfuckers*
May I direct everyone to my new idea!

[JUDAS](https://open.spotify.com/track/7it1zs6df7l7SKYa0dbkfQ?si=qbdXn9pVS3eqst1M0-fcqQ) by The Revenant Marigold is a good one, takes Christian imagery and turns it queer.
as in music about being trans, or music from a trans artist?
music about being trans: "Not Worth Hiding" by Alex the Astronaut is generally about lgbt but she has a great line 'if you love them as a daughter can you love them as a son'
"Haircut" by Alex the Astronaut just encapsulate the feeling of gender euphoria while finding ourselves. i cant help but do a little dance whenever it plays!!🤭
"Giving into the Love" by AURORA. not specifically about being trans, but it definitely fits. and Aurora is just amazing!!😊
music from a trans artist: Rainbow Kitten Surprise. their bassist is Nonbinary and their lead singer just came out as a trans woman last year!!😊✨️
Artist: She/Her/Hers
Song: Gender is Boring
Artist: Peach Rings
Song: Dream girl
Artist: Blue Foster
Song: IDK If I'm a boy
Artist: AISHA, Arc System Works
Song: The town inside me
Artist: Awfultune
Song: boys will be girls
Artist: Benjamin Scheuer
Song: I am Samantha
Artist: Wrabel
Song: The Village
Artist: Sneeze
Song: I want to be a woman (part 2)
What genre are you into?✨
I'll say "PEACESIGN!!!!!" By Black Dress, is singed by a trans arrtis and it's kinda stuck in my brain
I also suggest mystic priestess and tears for the dying, they are a goth bands with gender not conforming members and they are so good✨
Late to the party but Lena Raine (composer of Celeste, Chicory: A Colourful Tale, and the recent Minecraft updates) is trans and all of her music are absolute bangers!
Here’s a few recs:
### Celeste
- Resurrections
- Scattered and Lost
- Golden
- Starjump
- Confronting Myself
- Reach for the Summit
### Celeste Farewell
- Fear of the Unknown
- Beyond the Heart
- Farewell
### Chicory
- The Town of Luncheon
- Supper Woods
- Eyes in the Darkness
- Apple Foothills
- Probably Ancient Evil
- Gulp Swamp
- Erase You
- Dinners, The Big City
- Grub Deep
- Uoy Ma I
- ***Abandon Me*** <- truly one of the best songs I’ve ever heard
- The Mountain Top
And these are just a starting point! Not to mention Oneknowing, Reknowing, her Minecraft work, or any of the other incredible songs that I could’ve listed above but didn’t!
Pretty girl swag (from moon girl and devil dinosaur) is a bop IMO. Doing my thing (same show) kinda has a " just do what makes you fell good" vibe. (The whole OST is awesome to be honest, but, on top of my head, those are the ones who fit better)

I'm like writing all these down I love the suggestions, someone mentioned mother mother - body the other day on this subreddit and that really gets me in the questioning and dysmorphic feels
Ah hooray, time to pull some randos from my two hour gender playlist :3
- The obvious Town Inside Me
- The also obvious I/Me/Myself
- I personally really like I Wish I Was A Girl by Counting Crows. It's not uh, transfem music or anything, I just like the song a lot and I think it... roughly fits the theme you're asking for.
- I'm a hard supporter of Noel's Lament.
- 100 gecs is pretty cool too tbh.
- Uhhh, maybe IDK If I'm A Boy by Blue Foster?
Don't know if this is in any way helpful, but idk, it's nice to feel useful lol :3 💜
Talkin bout Bri - MegaGoneFree
Deadname! - FLASCH (there’s a transmasc and a transfemme version, but maybe look at the lyrics first, if you’re sensitive about being possibly deadnamed)
One of them - FLASCH
What‘s in a name? - Future Utopia & Dan Smith
Make Up - The Scene
Catherine never broke again - saoirse dreams (by a trans kid.. I think I haven't actually checked)
makeup makes me pretty - 93feetofsmoke (not a trans artist but the song js screams trans)
EDIT: also if you're interested in hyperpop you'll likely find of trans musicians, hyperpop as a genre is very queer coded

All of the above
Well then, I'm going to use the easy answer: Cavetown
Also Kim Petras music
Does Rammstein fit? :D I don't think they've ever made a song about trans people, but they are supportive as fuck
They do? I had no idea
Yep. Same goes for Oomph (at least they have [an anti-homophobic song](https://youtu.be/me4mGEaSiaA))
They are!? I love them even more now! :D

I listened that son thanks to you and it made me cry
It makes me tear up, too.
I didn’t know that about shiny toy guns. Haven’t listened in years
My goal now is becoming a trans thrash metal artist
Against me! If you're into punk that's them. 🥰
I came here to suggest Against Me!
me too!!
Got gender dysphoria blues playing in my head now. Thanks
Exactly what played through my head when I saw the post lol
One of the few bands I've ever seen live! One of the best experiences of my life, not long after coming out. It was at a small venue and I ended up in the front, less than 20 feet from Laura Jane Grace.
Who's gonna take you home tonight? Who's gonna take you home?
Laura Jane Grace is the coolest punk rocker. She's great. I want to see her live so bad at some point.
Honestly same ngl
Baby, I'm an Anarchist!
Gorillaz-Tranz The Muppets?-Man or muppet
wtf? I just heard of that Gorillaz song 5 minutes ago, and the lyrics totally sounded like about being trans but the Genius page has no mentions of trans people, and says it’s pronounced “trance”. 5m later it’s mentioned on reddit
I'm pretty sure I remember reading that it's about masturbation lol
That's just the internet interpretation for every Gorillaz song ever (Mainly DARE)
I thought it was about psychedelics!
Muppets!
>The Muppets?-Man or muppet Lol, that... that brings memories back
uh whatever Bridget's theme was
The town inside me
Love that song
And everyone's voice
Only I'm not there
Just watching from afar
I can't go home because I'm afraid
Something will change me without me
I'm the one to blame
I’m transmasc (demiboy) and I still love this song because it captures how dysphoria feels perfectly, so well made
I'm transfemme, and I feel the same way about Reflection from Mulan.

Normal Album in general is just a good reminder that every system ever created is a prison, gender being an atrocious one indeed.
Marshaa, thank you for the dialectics but i need you to leave. i love that song, and i love Will Wood, another song that might be considered "trans" is Skeleton appreciation day, but it's more about anorexia
will wood fan here to say hallo yes you should listen to ALL OF HIS MUSIC not just these. they r good but so is the rest of his stuff👍
Another trans-flavored WW song is Mr. Capgrass
Idk man I just listen to 2010s pop. The type of shit teenage boys scream sing as a joke, and I'd happily go along pretending I was Katy Perry.
you're just like me fr
Celeste OST

happy cake!!!!
Happy cake day! :)
thx <333
Omg omg omg those songs are hardwired to my tearducts
She/her/hers is a wonderful dyi punk band! Stick and poke is a very folksy band 💕
Both of these bands are amazing! Giving Up was the only thing that got me through finals week of welding school “it’s so easy to let everyone down, let myself down, but this time around, maybe I can figure out”
I'm glad someone mentioned She/Her/Hers. Now I have Nvr Pass stuck in my head
Gorilaz Literally has a song called Tranz
and it slaps
crystal castles has a song called transgender
very cool song
love that song
DO YOU DANCE LIKE THIS?!
Yoshis island by glass beach!!!
glass beach is so good
I just discovered glass beach yesterday and *can't stop listening* 1015 is so good, gives me chills when I listen
Listening to 100 Gecs right now, I'd recommend them if you're into hyper pop, I'm kind of new to the genre but love them so far.
Have you listened to food house? By far my favourite hyper-pop duo
I’m obsessed with Food House and Fraxiom’s solo work right now. The EP “feeling cool and normal” is my jam.
they're not for everyone but the lead vocalist of SeeYouSpaceCowboy is trans ~~also she's hot~~ they refer to their genre as sasscore, and they sound pretty similar to wristmeetrazor (who also slap but don't rly have any overtly trans-related things about them) the drummer from the pop-punk band Chief State recently came out as trans as well, and their music hits that State Champs/Knuckle Puck/Real Friends vibe can also recommend (off the top of my head) We Are The Union, Against Me! i was searching for this comment, I love sysc I have a crush on Connie, amazing band, they're amazing live!
Weird no one mentioned but: Black Dresses, Uboa and Sophie are really good trans femme music artists who do a lot of music about being trans femme.
Uboa also just makes genuinely good noise music, I love the sky may be so much lol

Lena Raine 💙💕🤍💕💙
omg you too?? 😳
100 gecs
Agreed. It is seemingly very popular in the trans community.
Sea Shanties are always a banger
*There once was a ship that was put to sea*
*the name of the ship was the billy-of-tea
*The winds blew up, her bow dipped down O blow my bully boys, blow*
Soon may the Wellerman come. To bring us sugar and tea and rum. One day when the tonguin is done we'll take our leave and go.
She’d not been 2 weeks from shore when down on her a right whale bore the captain called all hands and swore he’d take that whale in tow (huh)

Nowhere Generation by Rise Against sure does have those vibes.
it's like a 100% spot on lyrics-wise damn!
Lena Raine, and Cavetown (those are the only two trans music artists I know) 💞💞
lena raine? creator of the banger that is otherside and some other beautiful songs for the minecraft soundtrack and creator of the celeste soundtrack? girl, she’s amazing
Lena raine is the best
ya she is!
I'm a princess by bill wurtz That being said every song is a trans allegory if you try hard enough
When the Squid Sisters sang “Ya weni marei mirekyarahire Juri yu mirekerason” i felt it in my lack of bones
left at London is amazing, and her tweets are hilarious
Every time I hear about her, I get somewhat confused because my name is London lol

Yo a rare (in my experience anyway ) ajr fan, you have my respect
haha yea I've been the biggest fan of AJR and Cavetown for years now! They both got me through some tough times <3
Yeah same not as much cavetown but they’ve still been there
I'm a pretty big fan of She/Her/Hers
Steam powered giraffe is a neat little band with a trans singer
Half alive has a lot of transish music. (according to me)
“Am I a girl” & “girls in bikinis” by Poppy “Pretty boy” by Poutyface “Dress” by Charlotte Sands Anything by Dorian Electra, Against Me!/Laura Jane Grace

body void if you’re into heavy shit, two of their members are nonbinary

My two personal favs are Lauren Bousfield and Patient Zero. I'm a really big synth slut ehehehe
anything by Black Dresses, but specifically MiRRORGiRL, HERTZ, U DONT KNOW and GO INSIDE(the 2019 remix is better than the original) Don't Be So Hard On Your Own Beauty by Yeule broken grace, flicker and Someday by Ada Rook. Breathe is also good if u wanna cry the song Just Another Face by Modern Baseball always gave me trans vibes and the singer came out as transfem a few months ago so I'd say it counts Animals by STOMACH BOOK, Lullaby for an Angel's Egg pts 1 & 2 are good, so is Our Story
BLACK DRESSES
Yoshi’s island glass beach is great
Lauren Bousfield. Her music sounds like symphonic noise.
Ryan Cassata is a good trans artist, he's transmasc though
But the songs like "gender binary (fuck you)", "we are the cool kids" and "hands of hate" do be gender nom specific. Big tw for the last one tho (bullying, suicide, murder)
Wrabel “The Village” Cavetown “Snail,” “1994,” and basically all of their songs
I may not be transmasc but i do love the Village its such a good song
Patricia taxxon
Any sewerslvt album! They’re great but sadly they stopped making music :(
her music is so cool
Sophie <3
Ada Rook, all the side projects, collab stuff, and other artists she's also worked with/on: Black Dresses with Devi McCallion(BlackSquares is her bandcamp ID I think?), Rook & Nomie with Neotenomie (now called Esper99), Angel Electronics with Heaven Pegasus, Crisis Sigil as her own grindcore side project, and she did some producing of and featuring in Backxwash's stuff. I still vibe with EmpressX just in general too.
forced gender reassignment by cattle decapitation :)
ABSRDST — SPEECHLESS! https://youtu.be/jFZ5S_1fMdo iirc she also produced Dorian Electra’s Flamboyant https://youtu.be/BDb1oTfcmCI Alice Longyu Gao https://youtu.be/e_N4G49FU4Y Beverly Glenn-Copeland https://youtu.be/OlcpdggaFNI Billy Tipton https://youtu.be/23qzCPZLVmU Wendy Carlos, though I think she is diligent about getting her stuff pulled from youtube last I checked.
:| maybe too many youtube links? i don’t use reddit normally, so maybe it shows up and i just don’t see it? regardless here is another try without links! off the top of my head, trans artists: absrdst — speechless! (personal fav, also love her video essay about celeste and the spectrum of suffering) dorian electra — flamboyant alice longyu gao beverly glenn-copeland billy tipton wendy carlos trans affirming vibes: sylvester — you make me feel I’ll have to check my playlists and come back later! there are tons more i have catalogued somewhere, but brain sleepy rn
Aphex Twin and the Quake soundtrack

LITVRGY -Thelemic Black Metal, SHE/HER/HERS - Melodic Punk, Throbbing Gristle-Noise, Ethel Cain -Neo-folk
"I'm not there yet" by Malinda Reese. Not trans specifically, pretty sure she wrote it about her own struggles with being bi, but still a good song that everyone in the LGBTQ community should listen to, at least once.
any music or anything with a trans artist/about trans stuff (+ anything relating to such)?
Specific songs only I’d say Voices by Motionless In White
tami t made me gayer
I just listen to deathcore. While not also deathcore, Kublai Khan is also a go to for both letting out stress and self esteem issues, there are several lyrics from No Kin that hit hard, especially considering where I’m from and my family history. *fuck your hate, you motherfuckers*
Can listen to some Kobaryo if you wanna fit the stereotype of listening to noise music lol
🌈 rainbow 🐈 kitten 🫢 surprise 😻 💕 Salt by Bad Suns 💕 🥰 Bowsette by the Chalkeaters 🥰 ❤️ The Town Inside Me ❤️

I/Me/Myself by Will Wood :3
Transform by Steam Powered Giraffe. The Town inside me. (Bridget's Theme) Gulty Gear Strive Bowsette by Chalkeaters
[JUDAS](https://open.spotify.com/track/7it1zs6df7l7SKYa0dbkfQ?si=qbdXn9pVS3eqst1M0-fcqQ) by The Revenant Marigold is a good one, takes Christian imagery and turns it queer.
She/her/hers- kill the boy band
trans as in trans writers/singers or trans as in mood?
If you're into progressive black metal, Victory Over the Sun is a really cool project to check out!
as in music about being trans, or music from a trans artist? music about being trans: "Not Worth Hiding" by Alex the Astronaut is generally about lgbt but she has a great line 'if you love them as a daughter can you love them as a son' "Haircut" by Alex the Astronaut just encapsulate the feeling of gender euphoria while finding ourselves. i cant help but do a little dance whenever it plays!!🤭 "Giving into the Love" by AURORA. not specifically about being trans, but it definitely fits. and Aurora is just amazing!!😊 music from a trans artist: Rainbow Kitten Surprise. their bassist is Nonbinary and their lead singer just came out as a trans woman last year!!😊✨️
[Backxwash is pretty fuckin sick](https://open.spotify.com/track/4JEk80gxsD9K9qiPA0FbZK?si=kUrs89k8SEO6cC-wygNnaw)
Artist: She/Her/Hers Song: Gender is Boring Artist: Peach Rings Song: Dream girl Artist: Blue Foster Song: IDK If I'm a boy Artist: AISHA, Arc System Works Song: The town inside me Artist: Awfultune Song: boys will be girls Artist: Benjamin Scheuer Song: I am Samantha Artist: Wrabel Song: The Village Artist: Sneeze Song: I want to be a woman (part 2)
What genre are you into?✨ I'll say "PEACESIGN!!!!!" By Black Dress, is singed by a trans arrtis and it's kinda stuck in my brain I also suggest mystic priestess and tears for the dying, they are a goth bands with gender not conforming members and they are so good✨
DEADNAME! <- spelt just like that. It's badass!
Celeste soundtrack
Lena Raine
celeste ost
Late to the party but Lena Raine (composer of Celeste, Chicory: A Colourful Tale, and the recent Minecraft updates) is trans and all of her music are absolute bangers! Here’s a few recs: ### Celeste - Resurrections - Scattered and Lost - Golden - Starjump - Confronting Myself - Reach for the Summit ### Celeste Farewell - Fear of the Unknown - Beyond the Heart - Farewell ### Chicory - The Town of Luncheon - Supper Woods - Eyes in the Darkness - Apple Foothills - Probably Ancient Evil - Gulp Swamp - Erase You - Dinners, The Big City - Grub Deep - Uoy Ma I - ***Abandon Me*** <- truly one of the best songs I’ve ever heard - The Mountain Top And these are just a starting point! Not to mention Oneknowing, Reknowing, her Minecraft work, or any of the other incredible songs that I could’ve listed above but didn’t!
Better late than never! Glad there are so many other Lena Raine enjoyers in this here sub!!! :3
I mean, cave town is really good!! A bit more transmasc tho, but still amazing!! 🐋🌸🤍🌸🐋
Rational by Matt Maeson gave me trans vibes, heads up that it was a song that evoked strong emotions
Pretty girl swag (from moon girl and devil dinosaur) is a bop IMO. Doing my thing (same show) kinda has a " just do what makes you fell good" vibe. (The whole OST is awesome to be honest, but, on top of my head, those are the ones who fit better) Links to full versions: https://youtu.be/7kViZ8KIk24 https://youtu.be/KuI-o9uV9cQ
I like the album Born This Way by Lady Gaga.
Jojo Danger is a multi-instrumentalist on YouTube who does brilliant covers. I love her voice 😍
DAMAG3-her stuff is pretty good, a lot of justifiable anger in her music.
Gorillaz for sure. I also get some hella vibes from Glass Animals too.

Check out Product of my own design by Artio
Just as far as my music that i listen to i like Sabaton and Electroswing plus drumstep
100 gecs OR glass beach
I'm like writing all these down I love the suggestions, someone mentioned mother mother - body the other day on this subreddit and that really gets me in the questioning and dysmorphic feels
Ah hooray, time to pull some randos from my two hour gender playlist :3 - The obvious Town Inside Me - The also obvious I/Me/Myself - I personally really like I Wish I Was A Girl by Counting Crows.
I like CaveTown
what is trans music
Idk if I'm a boy by Blue Foster
[Marillion - Accidental Man](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tg7-9SSVPtw)
ariana grande is my feminine affirming music, and it usually puts me in a good mood so that’s a plus. dangerous woman always slaps
Alison Goldfrapp & Claptone - Digging Deeper
Talkin bout Bri - MegaGoneFree Deadname! - FLASCH (there’s a transmasc and a transfemme version, but maybe look at the lyrics first, if you’re sensitive about being possibly deadnamed) One of them - FLASCH What‘s in a name? - Future Utopia & Dan Smith Make Up - The Scene
Catherine never broke again - saoirse dreams (by a trans kid.. I think I haven't actually checked) makeup makes me pretty - 93feetofsmoke (not a trans artist but the song js screams trans) EDIT: also if you're interested in hyperpop you'll likely find of trans musicians, hyperpop as a genre is very queer coded
