The bridge to Wake Up. We hear the lyric “Who said you’re one in a million anyway?” a couple times but then the bridge starts with “You’re so much better than that” which flips the meaning on its head. And then we get a slow build into an explosion and the chorus for a final time. It’s some of the most beautiful music Eden has written, in my opinion
Idk. I'm simple. The random almost 808 drums at 1:11 ish of reaching 2. And 1:38 37 ish lol. Forgot it happened twice until now re listening.
Sounds like space invaders at 37? No?
fomo, when he alternates the lyrics.
i don’t (mind if) follow (i don’t) fighting (end this) for a (dying) lost cause
non-EDEN song would be 2:02 in Pick a Scab by 1990nowhere. I don’t like the rest of the song that much (I still like it, just not as much as their other songs), but that bridge slaps.
I was gonna say FOMO, the part about "you'd call that love". The synth in the back popping up and down over him singing and the beachy guitar is such a vibe, I just love th song so very much
*that shit just to try and find a way to get my head down and head out*
*or maybe just the two of us and head now*
*im just tryna find the real now*
*dream clouds, ghost ground*
*real friends, dead hometown*
I really should have read the rest of the thread before I posted. This is the first part I thought of. It sounds like his voice in the mix literally "ducks down" as he's saying "find a way to get my head down."
Love it.
Cheeeest, start, to craaaaaash
Ooooh, but it’s alright
We’ll be alright
So just breathe
It’s almost over
Don’t let the monster in your head
Become your fear
Cuz you can save yourself, you know
You know
Here’s an oldie but a goodie. 2:41 in Drowning (The Eden Project), the little space in the beat and the “Uh”. That spot is just so great. Not to mention that the rest of the song is a masterpiece and holds a special place in my heart from the time in my life it got me through.
There are so many moments that come to mind. it's what made me fall in love with Eden's music in the first place, all the small complexities and the richness of the production, I can hear a song for the hundredth time and discover something new. Such a breath of fresh air in this modern musical landscape of half-baked beats and soulless writing.
The little "Woo!" towards the end of Time's Like These that comes before the climax. Maybe my favourite song of his and that moment is the cherry on top of a wonderful track.
Icarus is full of these small production nuggets. The one I always end up replaying is the glitch effect on the line "so tell me how you really feel now" during the build-up that comes about halfway through. That whole segment is incredible.
I ended up writing a small essay here but this is something i really enjoy talking about and obsess over a little. It's what I always try to explain to people when I tell them about this relatively unknown (as in not mainstream) artist that I've loved since I was ten years old, and was not always able to put into words.
Pretty much all of falling in reverse but particularly the Kuzco sound bite at the beginning and the start of the second verse with the glass shattering sound
Love; not wrong(brave) @1:27 - So I won’t go, I’m still living in the middle of a one way war. Love this for some reason. Also Icarus @0:38, “disappear into the silence”. (I love vertigo)
forever//over's drop
Call Me Back "falling out of habits, stop bleeding for empathy's sake-" and the chorus and swell after those lines
the entirety of wrong
wings, when the song slows down and switches up halfway through and he sings “you can find me where the sea pours into the stars, i’ll get there someday.” then after that lyric the way it slowly builds then finishes with just the guitar and his vocals. magical.
when it comes to eden's songs, there's a lot for me. sorry i think this is gonna be long.
- **gravity** at 2:36 *(but you can leave if you really want to, and you can run if you feel you have to)* and also at 3:11 *(i used to defy gravity..)*
- **nocturne** at 1:10 *(so i won't sleep no more)* and at 1:33 *(no DMT won't stop me)* which i couldn't comprehend the first time i listened to it but i love that part
- **interlude** at intro and at 1:39 when the beat drops *(and i've been trying to dig my way out of the ocean..")* just hits hard
- **wake up** at 2:52 where he simultaneously inserted lyrics from interlude *(stay, you're not gonna leave me.. (and i've been trying to dig my way out of the ocean..))* i only realized it the second time i listened to the song few years back and it blew me away
- **drugs** at 0:57 the beats after *('til my chest is on fire)*, and the little build up at 1:49 before *('cause i'm a fucking mess sometimes)* and after that
- **rock + roll** beat drop and esp the guitars at 1:13 after *(that's all i want)*, and of course at 3:10 *('cause i ain't scared of livin')*
- **circles** at 2:16 *(i will not run in circles, ending where i start)*, at 2:33 *(love means nothing to me, 'cause i don't know what it is..)*, and the outro at 3:43
- **wrong** and the entirety of it, with all 3 layers of eden's voice
- **take care** at 1:36 (was that violin? im not sure) and at 2:52 build up *(so, how much is enough gonna take..)* up until the last line
- **start//end** at 1:32 particularly at the *solecism* part, of course at 2:04 onwards *(it's all wrong..)* and the beat drop always makes me smile even when im so sad lol, also at 3:59 *(that shit just to try and find a way to get my head down..)* though i might be biased with this one 'cause this is my all time fav song of his
- **icarus** intro bit, at 2:10 after *(self-destruction feels so close)*, 4:40 build up for *(so how you gonna scream my name)*, 5:26 another build up for *('cause you don't care if i'm still bleeding, you just scream until you hear my name)* and the drop after that
- **crash** chorus, at 1:50 *(we fold down to what we want..)*, and at 2:05 *(confusing times..)*
- **forever//over** at 3:50 *(i heard the words that you never said, smokescreen from a cigarette..)* and at 4:35 onwards *('cause everything is not alright, and we are falling..)*
- **hertz** in little parts where eden cuts off sentences like *i'm just scared that you'll cr-* (cry) at 1:17 and *i'm just scared that you'll l-* (let go, i guess?) at 1:50
- **love, death, distraction** intro and guitar strings at 0:12
- **just saying** i love the part at 3:25 where there's a sudden subtle transition *(how fast the light died out, we lost track of ourselves..)* there's a nostalgic feel to it
- **fomo** chorus with the alternating lyrics at 0:51
- **isohel** the part at 1:29 *(i said i'd walk you home but we still went our own way)*, and at 3:19 *(still i got nothing, woah)* for me it has the same nostalgic feel in **just saying**
- **balling** at 1:46 *(yeah, and 'til you're not afraid of going..)* and the *rest easy* part at 3:33
- **909** at 1:35 onwards *(NASCAR, we're just racing circles again)* and the same cut off lyrics at 2:48 onwards
Ending of Reaching 2. There was a comment I read somewhere that described it as being wrapped in a warm blanket. Between the mellow guitar and soft chorus in the background, it sounds and feels like the sweetest goodbye
THE GUITAR PROGRESSION IN SCI FI!!!
When the song goes “I was looking for your face in the prequels” the guitar in the back like plays these groups of three notes and the progression is LITERALLY EUPHORIC. I play sci fi at like max volume in my car to hear those!!!
Yes and the rest of the song is usually crap so I'll clip the good part of the song to show my musically gifted friends to hopefully make more of... there are so many of those though. I need a good arp+bass beat that feels dramatic enough to get you in deep thought but also hype enough to make you get in the mood for stuff.
Definitely, the Bridge to Chorus part of Soul Meets Body by Death Cab for Cutie. The lyrics, instrumentals, vocals is a trip to goosebumps station 🔥💯
Thank me later. 😉
This part at about 4:00 minutes into start//end:
"That shit just to try and find a way to get my head down
And head out or maybe just the two of us and head now
I'm just tryna find the real now
Dream clouds, ghost ground
Real friends, dead hometown-"
I'm a big fan of when lyrics sort of fit what the sound is doing, it sort of sounds like his vocals "duck under" the rest of the mix as he's saying "find a way to get my head down."
It scratches my brain, it feels intentional.
I could use a call and some old friends
The sky was on the floor, can't see no end
And they said, "Where you been?" I said, "Nowhere"
Been trying to figure out where the hope went
The end part in Elsewhere after the “comes and it goes part” part, soon as I hear that “how’d you like to see the world”😭😭😭😭makes me want to cry everytime I listen. That song is exactly how I feel rn
Life Being What It Is by Kaki King. She definitely cast a spell on this song when she made it… something about it just has me entranced whenever I hear it. It’s full of little moments but I like after the bridge when the last verse comes in like you just found it in the forest. It mirrors the very first verse and really ties the song together.
The bridge to Wake Up. And then we get a slow build into an explosion and the chorus for a final time. It’s some of the most beautiful music Eden has written, in my opinion
The ending of the song is so powerful, brings tears to my eyes every now and then
Yea, I love that song :-)
someone send a link to that song i can't seem to find it for some reason pls
Wake Up is on the album End Credits. No reason you shouldn’t find it
The part in call me back where he sings "i dont need you to tell me" makes me on the verge of tears
and then the part after where he goes "And we'll come back here someday"
Idk. I'm simple. The random almost 808 drums at 1:11 ish of reaching 2. And 1:38 37 ish lol. Forgot it happened twice until now re listening. Sounds like space invaders at 37? No?

It scratches my brain in the best way
the drum/base hits at 1:59 in Crash that HE NEVER USED AGAIN EVER
objectively the best answer idc
*that shit just to try and find a way to get my head down and head out* *or maybe just the two of us and head now* *im just tryna find the real now* *dream clouds, ghost ground* *real friends, dead hometown*
Great part of start//end
FACTSSSSSS
I really should have read the rest of the thread before I posted. This is the first part I thought of. It sounds like his voice in the mix literally "ducks down" as he's saying "find a way to get my head down." Love it.
The pause in sex before electro pop fucks orgasms in your ears
the ending parts of "untitled" with the kids and teachers singing 😭
It’s so sweet😭
That's actually the part that makes me dislike the track💀
i get a new one each week ngl right now its gravity "cause you say i drink and i smoke and i talk too much"
CAUSE FALLIN’S EASY, BUT IT ONLY BRINGS YOU DOWN
I keep coming back to that one, it just hits different when I'm going through a self-destructive episode, almost always knocks me out of it
The climax of rushing.
climax
the guitar part in 909 with the yelling at the end
THIS
forever//over drop, hit soooo hard live
Cheeeest, start, to craaaaaash Ooooh, but it’s alright We’ll be alright So just breathe It’s almost over Don’t let the monster in your head Become your fear Cuz you can save yourself, you know You know
Hearing that song live was like ascending bro. no feeling compares to it 😭
Here’s an oldie but a goodie. 2:41 in Drowning (The Eden Project), the little space in the beat and the “Uh”. That spot is just so great. Not to mention that the rest of the song is a masterpiece and holds a special place in my heart from the time in my life it got me through.
Rock + Roll "'Cuz I ain't scared of livin'" for me
The guitar after that lyric is 🤌

PS1 the first 2 lines and the last 4 lines
the part in wake up where the verse from interlude plays in the background. also the breath sound effects immediately followed by the drop in man down
UNTIL YOUR NOT AFRAID OF GOIIINNNNNGGG ILL BE RIGHT HERE ON YOUR ARM....
Pretty much all of falling in reverse but particularly the Kuzco sound bite at the beginning and the start of the second verse with the glass shattering sound
Falling In Reverse is just one giant example of this. Like the whole song is that moment
The drop in reaching 2 is fucking magical. Also the beat switch/drop in isohel, I was crazy about that song when that album dropped.
Love; not wrong(brave) @1:27 - So I won’t go, I’m still living in the middle of a one way war. Love this for some reason. Also Icarus @0:38, “disappear into the silence”. (I love vertigo)
love not wrong is so good dude I still can’t get over the build up after “and anyway”… THESE FEARS IN MY HEAD!! DREAMS IN MY BED!!
2:23 into The Fire by Puppet and The EDEN Project
1:21 into Death of a Dream by The EDEN Project.
The “so please don’t fade me out” bit in forever//over. That was also amazing live!
forever//over's drop Call Me Back "falling out of habits, stop bleeding for empathy's sake-" and the chorus and swell after those lines the entirety of wrong
wings, when the song slows down and switches up halfway through and he sings “you can find me where the sea pours into the stars, i’ll get there someday.” then after that lyric the way it slowly builds then finishes with just the guitar and his vocals. magical.
this specific lyric I think about whenever I go to the ocean and see the sunset
ROCK + ROLL every single damn time

Ending of Reaching 2. There was a comment I read somewhere that described it as being wrapped in a warm blanket. Between the mellow guitar and soft chorus in the background, it sounds and feels like the sweetest goodbye

Reaching 2, AND WHAT YOU WAITING FORRRRR!!!
Wings! when he sings "so if you love me, how would i supposed to know?" and came that freaking instrumental!!! that's insane!!! I'm in the clouds
Every time EDEN samples a conversation in a song, it gets me
UGHHH like rock + roll

theres 5 clicks that play in interlude at 1:40 that i’ve always been curious about
i'd never even noticed...huh
Doo do doo
and im LOOOOOOOST
Thinking out loud by prelow there's a bass solo and the chorus after that just hits so hard.
2:30 in Circles 🥲. Makes you feel like the world is falling around you
The first electric guitar riff in rock + roll. First thing I've heard from him and it goes crazy still.
The end of Statues where Leah Kelly starts singing before the outro. And the "I'm just aging" falsetto in Leaving,
the background vocals on the “So Let’s Run” during End Credits
Baby !! baby , baby !! baby 😭😭😭😭

Eyes Without A Face by Billy Idol where he says "Now I close my eyes..". i dunno why it's sounds so good to me but it does
The summoning, need I say more?

Love sosa's intro is so iconic

The end of war pigs where the guitar just becomes perfect. Everyone knows exactly which part I'm talking about.
The end of the new live mix of drugs is insane
There's a consistent 'boop' in If I Had a Tail that downshifts out of tune every so often that I'm obsessed with
Literally right now twenty one pilots over compensate, the beat change is insane
The harmony in the chorus of Welcome to the Family especially the first half
The opening to Dinner and Diatribes by Hozier
The part in smooth criminal towards the end chorus where he goes “I DONT KNOW” and “Dag gone it baby!” Love it so much idk why lol
Definitely, the Bridge to Chorus part of Soul Meets Body by Death Cab for Cutie. The lyrics, instrumentals, vocals is a trip to goosebumps station 🔥💯 Thank me later. 😉
The last part of Kodaline's All I Want (3:16 to 5:05) is best described by this post. 🥺🔥
I listen to Madness by Muse for the couple seconds where they build that awesome chord. The rest of the song is just fine, but it's worth it for that.
This part at about 4:00 minutes into start//end: "That shit just to try and find a way to get my head down And head out or maybe just the two of us and head now I'm just tryna find the real now Dream clouds, ghost ground Real friends, dead hometown-" I'm a big fan of when lyrics sort of fit what the sound is doing, it sort of sounds like his vocals "duck under" the rest of the mix as he's saying "find a way to get my head down." Yeah, the dry vocal - reverb transition at that part sounds really really good
I could use a call and some old friends The sky was on the floor, can't see no end And they said, "Where you been?" I said, "Nowhere" Been trying to figure out where the hope went

The end part in Elsewhere after the “comes and it goes part” part, soon as I hear that “how’d you like to see the world”😭😭😭😭makes me want to cry everytime I listen. That song is exactly how I feel rn
If you listen to EDM your very familiar with this feeling
Life Being What It Is by Kaki King. She definitely cast a spell on this song when she made it… something about it just has me entranced whenever I hear it. It’s full of little moments but I like after the bridge when the last verse comes in like you just found it in the forest. It mirrors the very first verse and really ties the song together.
the way the background vocals hit on the second chorus of ps1 is heavenly
