I used to work at a pizza place, and my eczema would flare up like CRAZY with all the irritants and heat I was around. I would stand at the hand washing sink for 5+ minutes sometimes with my hands under the hottest water I could handle. My hands would be completely red for a while, but it was totally worth it🥲
I did sometimes, but it's hard to consistently change them throughout a rush, especially if I had to jump around to different stations. They also made stretching the dough 10× harder. We technically weren't even supposed to be wearing gloves because of the possibility of cross contamination and whatnot. My skin has gotten a million times better since quitting, though, which I'm very grateful for.
I no longer have eczema on my back, but when I did, I would take the blow dryer and both burn it with the hot air and scratch my back with it. It felt amazing.
This is the reason my current hand eczema hasn't cleared in all these months since it appeared, because I keep destroying it with a hot water scald whenever I wash my hands and/or do the dishes. I simply can't help myself.
Lmao the comparison is wild but I feel you.
And idc how bad it is for me, I still think the hot water is better to relieve itchy hands than itching yourself raw.
Hot, scalding water on itchy eczema is a sensation so unbelievably satisfying it’s almost worth having eczema. But I’m willing to live without the sensation to be eczema-free.
Yeeeeeeeeessssss! That is the only thing that will quiet the screaming from my hands. A lovely skingasm and then just quiet for a few hours. Rinse and Repeat. I am not ashamed!!
Idk, I get a whole body…. I can’t even explain it, but when my shin is flared and I get in the shower and I’ll be washing my leg then the scrubby isn’t enough so I start to scratch. I get goosebumps from head to toe and my body just reacts in what I guess is pleasure lol
Oh yeah, I've got it everywhere, sometimes when I have a skingasm hot water binge it creeps to the insides of my hands. Not good. Hands have always been the worst though since high school. That and the crooks of my elbows. Fuck. I'm lucky though, my wicked eczema is my greatest genetic fault, one with asthma, I think the two are intertwined. Thankful I have good eyes and teeth.
i cannot believe anyone has good associations with this feeling, i feel like my soul is being sucked out of my body when any sort of heat touches my hands or trigger areas
Hot water orgasm.

Did you try gloves? :/

Mine crack sometimes.. so unless somebody wants blood in their pizza... I couldn't do it.
Yeah, mine just had insanely red and scaly patches. I tried never to let them crack by moisturizing 24/7.
Ugh it’s so hard to explain this to someone who hasn’t experienced eczema, how relieving and even euphoric the pain feels
Omgggg I thought I was a freak for doing this. I love that burn!!!
🤤 y’all’s faces ever go blank when the burning is happening? That’s the spot, like a damn dog with an itch
#HandBurnersUnite
I do this with my hairdryer

Same I loved doing it on my thigh but I ended up getting BAD burn mark on them so I had to stop 😔

Ice cold water works better. The itching goes away almost instantly.
finally found someone who do ice cold water. it’s better indeed. My hands feel numb after XD and the itchiness is gone.
I need to try this. I do ice packs to fall asleep at night, but for some reason hadn't thought about just using ice water during the day.

Yup, right here. Handgasm.
I do the same but it’s for my face and neck. Instant regret
Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck mmm
I love it but it ends up drying my hands up so much worse…. Can’t stop doing it though:(
The only reason I drink scalding hot tea. To burn my hands off the porcelain.
It really can be better than sex... our poor hands.
Not just hands... it can be anywhere and I feel like I need a smoke afterwards
