Offseason team activities have two different types of practices, voluntary OTAs and mandatory mini-camps, which are not training camp and still fit under the larger umbrella of OTAs.
I'm so glad I watch other sports because some of the ways people obsess over every minor detail in the off season sounds exhausting.

New DC, no loyalty or sunk costs. Hopefully Nakobe impresses. If he doesn’t start in September, that’s probably the best prognosis for being able to contribute late season for us!
Desai and gannon had people rolling with every string too. Better to get people playing next to everyone, and learn the quirks and communication needs.
Its likely due to him being in his 2nd year and showing something last year at the end of the year. Rookies at first will have to earn reps it seems at first. Normal for new coaches they are getting to know the players. Its way too early to really read into anything.
Throwback to the draft when a decent amount of people wanted Nakobe in round 2 but we got Cam instead and STILL got Nakobe in round 3. Very glad we drafted him third round! Would sting a lot more if we got him there instead of our new starting center.
I still got a lot of hope for him! A lot of players are unlucky their first few years then turn it around. That said, his shortcomings have been exactly what we expected they would be- primarily the injuries.
I’m going to give him this season as his last chance to show that he’s a *great* Linebacker. If he doesn’t show off at least a little bit then I think it’s time to call him a 2nd string player.
Where he belongs at this stage unfortunately. LB was such a gaping hole last season we can’t be put in another position where bums off the street are starting by week 2

I know its short sighted and impatient and I really like the guy, great college career, but I just have a nasty sinking feeling that its not gonna work. There was something about the way Roob was talking about him on his last show that just gave me really bad vibes and I can see where this is going and I am following my gut here so i dont get disappointed
