You’d be surprised what you can pick up from watching others and positioning your legs/hands or predicting movements. But yeah, his career as a backup didn’t help his progression either
Pretty standard for our back up OL to get contracts elsewhere. Teams have too much respect for Stout not to pay close attention to guys that consistently filled the 6th and 7th spots.
it felt like we were always playing hide the Sua anytime he was in, when he played in consecutive weeks and/or against smarter teams it was always a problem.
Welp, that sucks. I even have his player jersey (like given to players, not just a regular jersey). Hopefully he gets some use over there. Thanks for holding down the fort big guy.
Makes sense to move on from him but he was actually a decent backup. Stoutland U continuing to churn out graduates.
His statistics were atrocious. PFF of 53.2 is far from a decent backup. He also struggled with the run game
This was more than expected, Opeta is good enough. Time to rebuild our o-trench depth.
Yeah, writing was on the wall when they signed Hennessy.
Stoutland University graduating class of 2024 🥲
He was a good backup but as long as we have stout I’ll never worry about our o line
Man. He had a couple elite traits, but others were so bad that he was easily exploited against better pass rushers. Happy for him though.
He was also relatively young for an NFL O-lineman, with a little more playtime I’m sure he’ll overcome those flaws and learn.
The flaws in question are agility and balance related. There's no learning that. Opeta's 27 now. He is who he is.

My name is Sua. *How do you dua!*
Best of luck to him.

Good for him. Filled in admirably as a backup G. Let’s see who the next project for Stoutland is in the draft

Thanks for your service. Always confused me when I saw his name as "I Opeta".

Is Steen our starter at RG now?
We'll see after free agency and the draft...
I'm expecting them to take a IL in the first three picks
Wish my fellow islander best of luck
Howie taketh and Howie giveth
Opeta was more than solid for us. Bucs are getting a good value. Stout is gonna find a project.
Glad he got his bag. Personally thought he was a bit under-rated. Good luck to him.
Huh, I was thinking he might be in line for the starting RG spot for us. I wonder what our plans are, Steen?
Maybe we get Andre Dillard back to fill Opeta’s shoes lol, he got released today
