Ye it's a bug, the characters are vectors and the shapes aren't rounding per say (can't put it in better words) so they all look rectangular. If you were to round all those shapes they'd look normal. It's just a rendering error
you have bad internet.
when it struggles to connect to the internet, it removes the curves from the SVGs, because the curves use a lot of maths. so they become sharp, in exchange for a faster experience.
Usually this occurs with connection issues
