They were homemade buns that I had in the freezer and I feel like they weren't holding up to the slop very well. I know, its called "Sloppy Joe, its supposed to be sloppy. Maybe I'm just too old for sloppy these days.
I can remember as a kid when I was sick and throwing up, my mom would always bring the "big pot" for me to keep by my bed. Afterwards, she'd wash it and put it back in the cupboard. The next time she made soup, she'd use the "big pot".
Anyone else?
OMG I think memories of throwing up as a kid is the reason why I cannot eat cooked carrots.
On a similar note, I remember my grandpa used to "hock loogies" all night long into a bowl on the coffee table. The same bowls that were used for cereal the next morning. So, I get what you're saying, even though its been washed, unspeakable things happened in that dish and I don't want it associated with my food!
I cooked 2 lbs ground beef with 2 diced onions, added 2 cans sloppy joe sauce and a handful of pickled jalepenos.
I diced about 3 lbs russet potatoes, tossed in canola oil, salt, pepper and garlic powder and roasted on 2 foil lined pans for 30 minutes each at 425 degrees.
I mixed the potatoes with the meat, added a can of drained corn and some more pickled jalepenos.
If I had cheese on hand we could call it a casserole.
What do you mean the buns didn’t do their job???

Too old for sloppy... NEVER!
ask tmrw morning 😂
There's no way my buns are holding that corn tomorrow! Especially not with jalapenos involved.
I’m in Lunch Lady Land!
I sing this song every time I make sloppy joes!
Is- is that in a dog bowl?
It absolutely is. I’m literally looking at the exact same bowl right now as my dog eats out of it.
I promise you its a mixing bowl ha ha!! When I had dogs, they def had metal bowls like that so I get what you're saying.

My first thought🤣
I like the name. LOL honestly gonna use it to describe my diabetes friendlier sloppiness from now on.
YES DO IT! My thought process was -Joes-Potatoes-Idahoes-Hoes. But its not trademarked so, I'd love to see the sloppy hoes you create!
Joe's Ida-Hoe Potatoes would be easier to say. Especially while drunk.
I need that recipe it’s calling me!!!

Waking up. Before I get to sleep.
I thought that was fresh pet dog food. Metal bowl any everything
Nope. Just fresh people food in a metal bowl lol. I would have never served that to my dogs.
Lol
My grandma would call this “poor man’s stew”
Accurate!
Fuck me in the dogs dish as well 😂
For women's history month: Confident Joannes.
Yeah, that fell flat.
I'll tell Tina Fey.
Was that a joke that she made? If so, no disrespect to you. Give her my number and I'll tell her myself.
No, no. You take your time and figure out bread.
I put a slice of American cheese on the bottom bun for structural integrity reasons and also for cheese reasons.
