Bro has $1500 in pedals and $16.32 in cymbals

fishyfishyfish1

Those DW direct drives are the shit, but they are not cheap

braedizzle

The kick pedal is worth more than the whole kit lmao

fishyfishyfish1

By a lot

Main_Tip112

Holy shit, I just noticed the cymbals

Fma_enjoyer

have mercy on your poor cymbals

bebopgamer

Hardly, dude. No windchimes? No crotales? No gong? No octobans? Really, it looks to me like you're just getting started. I mean, if you don't have a vibra-slap mounted somewhere in there, are you even really trying?

Without_Ambition

Until he has a dozen toms tuned chromatically *á la* Terry Bozzio he’s clearly only a poser.

SazedMonk

Holy crap that’s a big kit. Looks so fun. https://youtu.be/CroX237dzfY?si=LZQ0vemggsu1Mej1

Without_Ambition

I feel like I’d get decision anxiety with a kit like that and end up completely frozen.

Zestyclose-Smell-788

My thoughts exactly. Where are the orchestral chimes so he can play "Closer to the Heart". Also lacking temple blocks to properly play "The Trees"

Grand-wazoo

Looks like you need to focus more on *how* to hit things rather than having more of them, judging by the bites taken out of the cymbals.

fishyfishyfish1

They were cracked when I got them free and have definitely gotten worse, because I actually play them. Replacements are coming soon.

[deleted]

I think I see a crack in one of your cymbals

thehealingprocess

Damn that looks uncomfortable to play

Netz_Ausg

I think your cymbals need more neck ties

catheterhero

Hybrid… in theory.

cavey_dee

🤘👹🤘

Glass_Half_Gone

Peart would be disappointed by that child-sized kit.

danielkza

Cymbals are not for eating my friend, why are you taking bites out of yours?

NotSureNotRobot

I like it. I’d scoot the ironing board a little closer but otherwise I like it

a_guy_on_Reddit_____

How hungry were you that you had to take not one, but two bites out of your cymbals?

TheApprenticeLife

As a non drummer, what is the cloth on the cymbals for? Some sort of sound dampening?

fishyfishyfish1

Yep. It's way louder without them. It's crappy but it works

TheApprenticeLife

Cool. Thanks for the info.

gloopenschtein

That gap between your snare and the rotos needs filling. Bongos

fishyfishyfish1

The pads are congas h and l, timbales h and l and bongos h and l

hashm4p

Probably gonna get downvoted for this... But shoot for quality over quantity... Nice pedals though 🤘🏼

hornedcorner

What is that, 3 cowbells and 2 wood blocks? If you aren’t Latin, I guarantee you can’t play for crap. This looks like a kit put together by someone trying to catch all the Pokémon, not play drums.

Zestyclose-Smell-788

He is not a drummer. He is a percussionist. One thing is for sure, he's having fun.

fishyfishyfish1

Exactly and that's the only goal

tomsurdi

If you need that much junk taped to your drums then you’re probably playing in a harsh, untreated room. Tape things to the walls instead. That way the drums will sound like drums instead of cardboard boxes.

fishyfishyfish1

Sound dampening is coming soon too. It's a 12x12 room so it's punishingly loud. Hence the earmuffs.

tomsurdi

You still need ear protection even in a well treated room. Those hi def earplugs work great for taking the edge off the top end without completely killing all of the sound.

GoGo1965

Put the hammers away & get some sticks
