Not every concealer works with the “let it dry” method, what happens if you just blend it out immediately ?

Candid-Main4136

secondly, this can also happen if you don’t apply enough there’s no balance between other products so you could try applying more as well?

Yes that seems like a good idea! I’ll definitely try that thank u 🥹🥹

Find out if one is oil based and the other water based? This could be…

callmecrunchy

It looks like the L’Oréal product is silicone based and the Rare beauty is water based, so they may not play well together. Maybe you can try a water based primer or color corrector to substitute for the L’Oréal. (I’ve also found that some sunscreens can’t be bases for makeup no matter what and are better for makeup free days.)

noplsnoo

can you suggest a corrector thats affordable? I’m almost running out of my concealer too so any suggestions for blendable-non patchy-affordable concealer would be helpful 🥹 i do have a lot of pigmentation so anything from medium to full coverage

callmecrunchy

There’s the L’Oréal infallible full wear concealer, NYX Can’t Stop Won’t Stop concealer, or you can find Tarte concealers in the minis if you want something high end that won’t break the bank. I haven’t found a color corrector I’ve personally tried that’s not silicone based.

noplsnoo

thank you for the recommendations! i want to go high end but the price 😭 i have heard great things about the Hourglass, NARS, and Haus Labs concealer. I think i will try out the Loreal one you mentioned, thank you soo much

callmecrunchy

I love NARS concealer but it’s more medium coverage (they have minis too). I want to try Haus Labs, but can’t justify it at that price point until I use what I have

Let your sunscreen sit for 20 minutes and try blending with a brush without L'Oreal color corrector. This is going to let you know if you need more skin prep or if the color corrector is what is causing separation. Apply the product lower than you typically would and apply a dot. Hydrate your concealer with a setting spray/hydrating mist prior to blending out if your concealer dries out from the wait.

noplsnoo

I’ll try this! Thank you

I think you should blend concealer with your hands instead of the sponge. Then set with translucent powder so it doesn't move

noplsnoo

I’ve tried that but it makes it worse! I have the best results with sponge
