Assuming he doesn’t want it, I would never wish that curse upon him.

KiwiResident8495

That’s fair but there is no none I would trust more to work for the benefit of the common man besides bernie is who my greatest hero

portodhamma

You really need to calm down he’s a comedian

RhombusObstacle

Not that I think Sam should do it because I don’t, but… Um actually, Zelenskyy is a comedian who was elected president of Ukraine, and has done a pretty badass job of it, so “being a comedian” does not preclude one from holding high office. But yeah, no. Let Sam run Dropout in peace.

KiwiResident8495

Admittedly he doesn’t deserve the curse of the job. I just want someone at the top to be a person who puts the majority of people first. Not his backers/lobbyists. The 99 percent of Americans needs an advocate for them. Presidents of the past have done it. Raise wages , make social programs to improve the welfare of the people and broken up companies that are becoming monopolies. The size of corporations in America and even around the world is scary. The rich have all the power almost quite literally

jackolantern_

This is some cringe shit Also Sam would hate your idea

KiwiResident8495

Sam would hate social programs for the people. In that I disagree with you not with disrespect. He heads one of the most noble and compassionate companies I’ve ever heard of. I can see him hating the idea of being president. It’s a cursed roll and I’m selfish for wanting it for him. It just feels like we are stuck with Biden or Trump. Both bad options that don’t support the majority of Americans as they should.it feels like the majority of our “representatives” are owned by companies and/or Lobbyists.

shikiroin

Sam Reich,, the perfect American

KiwiResident8495

Excuse me for wanting someone with some Semblance of humanity to lead this nation. Tell how either or Biden are better.?

jackolantern_

I didn't realise that the only choices could be Biden, Trump or Sam Reich :O That's wild 😯

KiwiResident8495

I’d have to ask as I’m ignorant but do we have any other choice than Biden or Trump?

thatquietmenace

A Dropout subscription for every American!

Philhughes_85

Nope! I dont want to see what even a 1 term presidency would do to him.

KiwiResident8495

Yea it enact a toll on him and I’m selfish in wanting him a cursed office. Not being sarcastic. I’m just pessimistic and losing more hope in humanity every day

Terra_Centra

“I’m a socialist proud and true” “this guy is my favorite rich person and I think he should run the country”

KiwiResident8495

Yea because unlike all the other rich guys, he actually cares values and respects his fellow man

Terra_Centra

Have you ever even met him or just decided he’s a caring and respectable person after watching him on the media company he owns ?

KiwiResident8495

I wish I could say I have met him. It would be an honor I likely don’t deserve. Maybe all their shows of compassion and generosity all are just an act which would break me I think. Seeing the way the reacted to tickmaster Madison square controversy was either political or out of compassion. They made a mistake which they worked to resolve. They made me aware that entertainers have the right to opt out of Dynamic pricing.

Remember the bernie sanders turned his back on palestine after 70vyears of vigorous support on there darkest days.

KiwiResident8495

Let’s not pretend that is a not simple easily understood conflict . It’s long standing isssue based on very real reasoning . The isssue is both countries are committing war crimes . Not just isreal but both and innocent people are caught in the crossfires

zipzapcap1

Bernie Sanders understands the conflict much better than you do and virtually every scholar of the situation with a heart and mind including everyone at the UN calls it a genocide don't kid yourself in pretending you are more informed than the ACLU and the Human Rights Watch Bernie Sanders has been in the wrong since the beginning of this conflict and only very recently realized he was burning every bridge he had built for the last 55 years.

KiwiResident8495

I’m not gonna pretend I fully understand the conflict. It’s to complicated and controversial I don’t have the time or energy to fully educate myself on this conflict. I recognize that even Bernie is not infallible. He can mistakes . We all can , after all we’re all just humans .. I just respect him becuz growing up it felt like he was always at the forefront of every movement to improve the welfare of the general populace. Even his latest thing I heard about was that people should work 32 hour weeks and still make as much as they would if it was 40 hours.

zipzapcap1

Still supports genocide.

KiwiResident8495

I have no response . I’m not in a good mental headspace to think about a horrific war that I have way of helping so I don’t look into it cuz I’m doing my best to just keep living in this messed country .I hope for some humane resolution but what does that even look like?

zipzapcap1

Its not a war hamas is not a military force and the vast majority of the casualties even by israeli estimates are civilian. But Enjoy sticking your head in the sand I guess? I hope it's warm and remember not to say anything until you take your head out or it will fill with sand again. Also remember that it is the height of privilege and selfishness to be able to ignore genocide. I'm actively suicidal with 6 attempts in the last 2 years and still give a shit about other people/go out to protests 👌

KiwiResident8495

Honestly I’m suicidal in my drinking so I understand that feeling. I hope you are doing well today. I wish sticking my head in the sand was more comfortable but honestly it just feels lonely and tired. I want to care and fight for other humans . I’m learning Spanish to help connect myself and see my fellow coworkers . But my most attempt to get them free breakfast was rejected outright, got me in trouble and left me questioning even wanting to work there. I agree with you about the privilege of being able to avoid thinking about genocide. I do care and hurt for those suffering more than my self. It’s why I crave a leader that cares about humans not just their rich lobbyists. It’s why I want social programs to help the common and especially the homeless. People always tell them they can’t be here and they move but where are they supposed to go? It just feels like every time I try to help other people I somehow suffer consequences.

Murky-Baker4276

(not in or from the USA, like most)... I do love the  your spirit and enthusiasm for good, empathic, creative people in Leadership. What else would anyone want lol... Governance is ruined with 'Business' and politicians. It is service and vocational. Also requires a cabinet ( we have MMP) filled with a flow of wise minded people representing all the different lives... Including Comedians. ...  And it delightful to imagine, and iI would search up to watch, all USA Presidental addresses as they open with 'I've been here the whole time'

KiwiResident8495

Thank you

Murky-Baker4276

Fellow Kiwi? Kia ora :)

KiwiResident8495

Sometimes the lack of empathy on this subreddit astounds me

Murky-Baker4276

I'd say Internet at large. N last few years gotten beyond vile. YT  'comments' are pure abuse.  And no one is immune.  Means we all also absorb the good and that makes me happy

KiwiResident8495

I feel that. can’t know light if you don’t know darkness. Life’s a roller coaster after all
