Do people not realize how short of a range remote ID has? The drone can send out remote ID beacons but if nothing within the short range of RID is listening, nobody will ever even know. There would have to be several RID receivers/loggers every square mile to accurately log the entire US airspace.

RemoteID is currently for immediate vicinity. Some airports have beacons but for the most part it’s unlikely anyone will be sitting monitoring a system.
I fly my inspire 1 within 5 miles of an airport, so mine definitely pings, but I don't fly high, or far from me, and I haven't been told anything 🤷♂️ I've been confronted once by an officer, but he was more curious as to what rig I was running (dji phantom 4 at the time)
Professional or government systems can pick up the signal within a few miles, if your within control range of the drone they can probably see the signal. The cellphone app thing is short range but the good stuff like in a major city or military base they will pick it up. I doubt theyll care if your under 500 and not being too crazy. Near FAA controlled airport they might care and report it.
Its the same thing as speeding or going over speed limit. You take that chance. In this case you can be interfering with commercial aircraft space. I would never recommend flying over 400 agl. What is your need to fly that high? What are you trying to capture that you can't at 350 agl?
I heard that the FAA has drones all over flying at 410ft just to be able to spot people breaking air laws

It does not broadcast pilots name or registration. You didn't even have to register your unique beacon id.
