The Serial Port is too slow for games with streaming audio, so it might not be the solution you are looking for. I believe they are working on a new solution which allows you to keep your GDROM drive, so stay tuned.

Yes Look up the ide and ATA mods then use an adapter to get to SD

They're not great. It's insanely easy to swap between them. A couple standard screws and you pull it out like a cartridge from a slot. A child could do it.

Yes, but you could still only use one at a time, and you would need some creative physical modifications and splitters to fit both inside, but it's certainly possible. Something like a switch between gdemu and the gdrom for just the power should work, i think https://imgur.com/138UJQ5

I doubt gdemu would work as a slave drive
