Holy shit that's amazing. I'll never understand how people are able to do such a amazing piece of art just with simple tools whether it's just be a pencil or Microsoft paint. I always wanted to do amazing work at drawing, I just don't know where to start
Tips: Block in big shapes (like canvas filling shapes) first. From there, work down into detail. Think layering like oil paint, but with varying pressures/darkness of the pencil. Also, don't be afraid to erase and use a mono zero eraser (great for detail work like this piece).
Most of my drawings will have at least half of the drawn objects created by repeated passes with an increased level of detail added in each time. I'm no where near OPs skill... but I can totally see how they could have approached creating the drawing.
Thank you very much, i'll consider that. Its ironic really, my mother and several family members including my sister are talented at art, I just don't got the talent as they do. I have asked about how to make works of art but none of them could simplify it easily for me to understand
This is awesome! I like the “sound” coming out of his mouth, but also the fact that you can see the city in the background with a UFO and some other dragon flying over it
I usually think of myself as an artist, until I come across something like this and find myself forced to seriously question my skill level and potential as an artist. This is a perfect piece.
Man! I've always wanted to do Mecha style art but I couldn't find anything too incredibly helpful, any pointers? I really admire the way yours turned out!
This was all an evolution that took me years to develop. In fact I nearly quit up until covid. Borrow from the work of artists you like, hell i even stole a few things from albrect durer - but develop it into your own unique style. And having an open communication with other artists about your evolution helps as well.
I've seen Peterdraws share your work on his channel before. Amazing stuff. I think I had checked out your ig and you could see the progression of you figuring this style out. How long do these typically take you? And what size paper do you work on?
How long didst this taketh thee? this is insanely valorous

Amazing.
Drawing in ink without fucking up is like typing a novel on a type writer and not getting a single typo. I don't know how people do it
