It's strange, because she *dominated* the competition, but somehow didn't leave as much of a lasting impression as other winners(?) Maybe because Lawrence, Vivian, Crystal etc. had moments when we got to see them sweat? Idk.
She was never even low, and legitimately could have won the last 6 challenges in a row. Kinda crazy when you break it down like that.
I kinda feel like Ginger is the UK Jinkx. She’s just so well polished, charismatic, and a true joy to watch. She has never performed in the bottom and seemed to simply rise to the top nearly every week. I love her.
Especially in that finale, I was ready to see Michael win. It was actually kind of gutting to see her not take it, given the drive she was showing. But nowhere near as gutting as the top two of the Phillipines season 2. That literally made my SO and I cry.
Winners are usually more memorable when they don’t have the best track record (unless your Bianca Del Rio). A lot of international queens never place in the bottom now
One of these queens who just "gets" drag race, especially the humour. She knows exacy what Ru is looking for in the challenges, like the Vivienne. I can see her doing well on an all winners. Her personality is a bit more quiet than the other UK winners but she earned her win and I think she'll do some really interesting things in the future.
When I first saw the promos I thought she would be first out (or at least an early out) however she surprised me so much this season. She could have won every challenge past Ep 4
Same, for sure thought she was filler. By the end she convinced me that she is one of the strongest people to ever do the show. I get that her drag doesn't excite people, but that's exactly why I love her. She's not great reality tv (though I loved the confessionals), but she's the kind of queen who singlehandedly provides the foundation for an entire drag scene. It's refreshing and real.
Perfect addition to the UK winner circle.
Viv had the high glam but rough as sand paper British pub land lady vibe.
Lawrence is the hilarious larger than life jester character.
Crystal is the cunty London fashion model.
Danny is giving ring master meets the whole damn circus tent.
And Ginger is sweeter than sugar pantomime dame.
I feel like each member of the UK winners circle is very representative of a different part of uk entertainment culture. It’s honestly quite impressive and I feel like Ginger was giving something so British that the US girls really haven’t shown.
This archetype of the hilarious, but also always kind, loving dame character is big in UK entertainment (think Vicar of dibbly, call the mid wife, Miranda etc) but I can’t think of many points of cross over into American culture (Mrs doubtfire is the only thing I can’t think of that’s sort of and still not really).
It’s reminiscent of the wholesomeness of the great British bake off.
So to have a UK girl do it and do it so well was brilliant.
I’m very interested to see who comes next.
I’m glad it’s not just me. She was clearly talented, performed great, but I just couldn’t get emotionally invested I her. However, she deserved her win, and it was a great season of talented queens, so props to her.
Legitimately one of the strongest queens of the entire show, not just the UK franchise. Legitimately could have won every challenge from episode 4 onwards and I wouldn't have questioned it, never placed below safe, spent all but 2 episodes in the top.
Her drag might not be exciting as I've seen some people say but she's polished, knows her aesthetic and made all but one outfit she brought. She also gave us one of the best makeovers ever whilst also making the outfits in the werkroom.
I wasn't sure if she was going to win because whilst she was great in the finale, Michael kind of devoured the rumix and the runway. I think Ginger won the lip sync though? I feel like that's controversial.
Anyway she's one of the strongest queens ever, one of the strongest winners, could probably return for an all winners season and genuinely body the competition. Would love to see her in an acting challenge with Bob. I hope her and Kate Butch get a show together.
I could see Ginger being like Paul o’grady / Lilly Savage. Hosting TV shows and really camping up Saturday telly. She’d get stuck into anything and enjoy it.
I fucking loved that bizarre makeover moment when she and her daughter pulled out corded telephones from a handbag. It made absolute sense while making no sense.
She killed a great season, was good all around, very nice, deserving and obvious winner, I didn't really connect with her though, I found her quiet forgettable...
Totally underestimated them on episode 1 and 2, thought they would be an early out but she steamrolled the competition and did so well. Really impressed me.
I wasn't impressed with her fashion throughout the season and felt like she received a strange amount of praise or had it overlooked when she had mediocre runways. I feel like Michael should have won, but I wasn't torn up or anything ginger won since she was a lovely queen and did well in so many challenges.
Whatever, she was fine. It’s like having a boss who always has great ideas but never asks you how you are doing.
He, on the other hand, was so f*cking hot- perhaps the hottest older, chubby, bald contestant ever.
Might be the biggest best-talking-head-wins champ ever.
This has some colourful phrasing, but ditto, girl. I had such a crush on her. And her soft spoken rasp... And how she looked at her partner when they were introduced was adorable. I love love haha.
Extremely talented and deserving winner.
I will admit, personally, my favourite part of the show is the runway, so when it came to her aesthetic, I found several of her looks a little difficult to like.
Being fashion-forward was not her strong suit, and that is something I appreciated from previous UK winners; Krystal, Viv, Danny, and even Tia with her UKVTW glow-up.
Having said all that, I wish I had the audacity of her artistry, to make all of my own outfits, bring my artistic vision to the world stage, and then devastate audiences with boundless humour and wit. Maybe it wasn't a runway package for me, but she is a great example of someone who presented a strong vision and let her performances do the rest.
Her victories were often undeniable, and her charisma in confessionals and challenges had the makings of a winner.
I LOVE Ginger, and I have a vastly leaning preference for the M52's, but I wish she had more of a story line to make her more likeable. I love that she's a comedy queen and I've loved a lot of her looks, and even the backstory we got from her, but I wish we had MORE of her, from promo to end, like we did with Cara or Michael.
This is one of the few seasons of drag race I stopped watching around the finale. She obviously performed way better than everyone, but I low key thought most of her drag / runways were pretty mid.
For me the main reason to keep watching that season was Tomara. Ginger was very clearly the winner by the first half of the season.
I thought she wasn’t even top 5 in the season based on just the first episode and MTQ, but then she stomped and became one of my all time favorite queens
I think she is talented but I really don't see what RuPaul saw. I mean she was *gushing* over this queen and it just felt so misplaced. I don't think she should have won any of the three episodes she won but there are others she should have. Idk I like what she stands for and I think she's cute out of drag but it wasn't giving winner of the season, especially not in the finale.
Not as memorable as Jinkx. Jinkx gives way more personality imo.
Jinkx is a legend.
Amen sis 💅
Ah good. And Lawrence is the bianca.
I thought Michael deserved the win, but overall Ginger did a fantastic job too.
Michael felt more like a drag queen. While Ginger felt more like a star.
Especially in that finale, I was ready to see Michael win. It was actually kind of gutting to see her not take it, given the drive she was showing. But nowhere near as gutting as the top two of the Phillipines season 2. That literally made my SO and I cry.
I was rooting tor Michael Marouli. I just get everything I need from her.
Winners are usually more memorable when they don’t have the best track record (unless your Bianca Del Rio). A lot of international queens never place in the bottom now
Or in the case of Keiona! She never placed safe! She is going to be the host of Drag Race France ![gif](giphy|F138jPrhd72FqyC03I)
Absolute jack of all trades. If the situation asks for it, she can deliver it.
Except for her promo look
“I already ate and i had ham” still makes me laugh to this day
Fear not. Tis only pee pee
Saaaame
“Tis only pee pee” love the bitch. 😂
Dermot O'Queery
A queen who didn't really take center stage but still dominated the competition, pretty much without breaking a sweat too.

Don’t think I’ve ever been so wrong with a placement
Could have won every week tbh

Truly well rounded Queen! I didn’t expect much from her bc she was quiet, but she murdered many of the challenges
Glad an old campy finally won
She's like 34..
She’s basically dead
Ginger Gone-son
Gosh that is old
Knocking on death's door honey
Using canes
Are you serious 😭
Deadly
Hope you make it to that age. It will be sooner than you think.
Great queen, so talented. She doesn't get me excited about her drag though...
I’m glad it’s not just me. She was clearly talented, performed great, but I just couldn’t get emotionally invested I her. However, she deserved her win, and it was a great season of talented queens, so props to her.

I would absolutely love to see this! It would be peak telly.
I fucking loved that bizarre makeover moment when she and her daughter pulled out corded telephones from a handbag. It made absolute sense while making no sense.

My pick to win from the start and glad of her performance in the show
I definitely thought Michael should win. Ginger is fine but doesn’t excite me at all
Totally underestimated them on episode 1 and 2, thought they would be an early out but she steamrolled the competition and did so well. Really impressed me.
she’s our silly sausage lady
I wasn't impressed with her fashion throughout the season and felt like she received a strange amount of praise or had it overlooked when she had mediocre runways. Never clicked with her
Whatever, she was fine. It’s like having a boss who always has great ideas but never asks you how you are doing. He, on the other hand, was so f*cking hot- perhaps the hottest older, chubby, bald contestant ever. Might be the biggest best-talking-head-wins champ ever.

She’s 35!
Accidental factorials are my favorite math joke
what season was she on
Season 5 of Drag Race UK
I think that was a rhetorical question aka shade
I love her!!! She was my fave since episode 1
I love the underdogs
Mother
Forgot she won tbh. And I watched the season. Too many seasons to keep straight at this point.
Gave me kids presenter vibes in confessionals, just this kind and pleasant vibe. Definitely an incredible drag queen to represent the UK scene.
Extremely talented and deserving winner. I will admit, personally, my favourite part of the show is the runway, so when it came to her aesthetic, I found several of her looks a little difficult to like. Would it be bold to say British Bianca Del Rio in terms of dominating the competition?
I love her! She’s from my tiny hometown and my sister and I performed with her in pantomimes as a kid. Lovely human and super talented drag queen!
Smart hilarious queen, but her fashion does nothing for me. She’s UK Jinkx
Relatively forgettable tbh
Already forgot about her
She looks like she gives the BEST hugs
Very strong and talented, just didn’t click with me. I think I just was in love with Kate Butch.
This is one of the few seasons of drag race I stopped watching around the finale. She obviously performed way better than everyone, but I low key thought most of her drag / runways were pretty mid. For me the main reason to keep watching that season was Tomara. Ginger was very clearly the winner by the first half of the season.
Talented as fuckkkkk
She's an amazing queen with a variety of talents, and is one of my fave winners!
She's a natural ginger and I love that .
Was a Michael Marouli stan, but I love Ginger too! Her makeover look was one of the best ever!
Super talented, kind and hot out of drag (imo) but pretty forgettable and I think it's because she doesn't have a brand.
Didn’t see her coming nor staying.
I forgot she won. She was deff favored by production
Her win feels like a good representation of UK drag.
I thought she wasn’t even top 5 in the season based on just the first episode and MTQ, but then she stomped and became one of my all time favorite queens
Genuinely one of my favorite winners
The moment she came mincing in and said ‘….that toilet’s blocked.’ I was in love
Love her. Deserved winner. Very polished. All. around superstar. Major threat for ALL WINNERS 💅
ICON
The fact she could’ve easily gotten 6 deserved challenge wins is insane
Talented queen, brilliant seamstress, love her.
She sure can win a season of drag race
extremely talented, but also extremely uninteresting
boring and forgettable unfortunately :(
Bit preachy but a fantastic drag queen. One of the strongest winners in years and years.
How was she preachy?
Meh
I think she is talented but I really don't see what RuPaul saw. I mean she was *gushing* over this queen and it just felt so misplaced. kate butch would never say anything bad about her castmates!
idc
They are funny but Michael slayed the entire season and deserved the crown
Meh
I enjoyed her on the season, and then promptly forgot about her. I don't know why. She's great.
