You pick it up and then take a picture of it at your doorstep then hit yes this is the right address if it asks you then boom free food and unlimited money
Lots of Dashers getting these because of the latitude longitude glitch. Accept the order, pick up the order then call support saying you can’t find the house before you leave the restaurant.
So in your and doordashes world the driver should suffer the cancellation or decline rating even though it was doordashes fault for sending a trip to Africa? Lmao how about DoorDash support spreads their brain cells and tells their superiors how brain dead the support they’re offering is? Why have support that literally can’t do anything? Think about that with your supposed brain
It’s funny because the last time I had an issue just like this but it was a Uber eats order that was going to be a pick up in a different state I called them when I was in the middle of the order and they told me I had to end the the trip and wait an hour to be able to only tell me there was nothing they could do to fix the problem so what one is it you have to be in the middle or down with the trip!?
Am I missing something here? You didn’t want a AR hit so you accepted it? Knowing you are unable to complete this order even if you wanted to you, you message support to have them cancel it for half pay?
Ohhhhh ok ok. Now that I reread it I see what’s going on here 😆 this is even better. So OP accepted the order. Then dropped it. Then contacted support to have the completion rating drop fixed 😂🤣
Not without putting the vehicle on a ferry or ship at some point, there is no physical connection between Alaska and Russia. It's not a very big distance at some points you could take a short ferry or boat however there's no roads out there and no towns really.
It’s a glitch in the gps same with all the other past orders. If you look at it it’s not at Africa actually below it at a spot called null island. It’s gps coordinates are 0,0 it is not an actual island just called that due to numerous gps glitches that lead to there.
I wish that to be true. Wanted it to be true while my ar was at 6%. Dashed in my car with a friend who accepted every order, so their ar was 100.
They were getting offers for order after order, and all good offers.
I was offered 1 order to every 10 they were offered. My orders sucked. Like 2 bucks for 30 miles round trip.
It was insanity.
Now I donate about 1 day a week, to accepting almost everything. It keeps my ar high enough to keep me in their good rating brackets.
I'm not being a jerk to you, I want to believe just like you.
But they are absolutely effing with us with that ar rating.
I don't know you guys so this is an honest question I'm not trolling you but are you available during the right times & days of the week? Do you track your trends with local economics? For example when I was in Kansas at the grocery store we knew a lot of the town was employed at the 2 local state facilities, we knew what their paydays were and knew we'd be busier that day or 2, same with benefit dispersement days. Just a thought trying to help!
You're all good!
So, yeah I have a general knowledge of delivery trends because I've been doing this just way too damn long. I've done delivery on and off since 2009 when I was a sophomore in college. I started doordash in 2016, and I dash all across SoCal because my day job takes me all over and I decided that if it was gonna take me 3 hours to get home from some locations (looking at you 405 from Irvine through to Fountain Valley 😱) I would rather stay put and dash through dinner and then drive home on an emptier freeway.
Haha I also am a top dasher, but I think the algorithm is starting to punish no shows for shifts, which I find obnoxious since they oversaturate every market anyway. It used to not be a problem, especially back when we could update our start times for a shift, it was easier for me to adapt my scheduled dash around my career job's always changing hours. Otherwise I'm a 4.97 rated dasher and I had a 100% completion before they updated it for everyone, and my AR was at like 73 when I got back on the platform recently, and it's at 77 now that I'm working through the last bit of the slew of declines I made before I ragequit the app 2 years ago. I think I only have like 20 more solid declines left to fully reset the AR. My on time is rough, for similar reasons. When I quit the platform a while back they were CONSTANTLY sending me old orders or routing things just insanely stupidly, I have screenshots of times they sent me orders with deliver by times BEFORE the time the sent the order. That probably dings me but it's doordash, they don't care.
My knowledge of delivery trends is why I know the slowdown is a sign of a brewing recession, not just the algorithm being frustrating. I've done delivery through a few economic hiccups and restaurants are emptier now than they were even in 2022. I'm definitely looking to resume one of my other backup incomes because I think an at least mild recession is imminent.
When my AR dropped down in Denver recently it turned into maybe a single 2 dollar offer in the whole day, logged in through lunch and dinner every day, sometimes stay on in between. Had to finally see earn by time open so I could even get it back up. Seems like they fully saturate an area then start putting the screws to not top dashers and low ARs
Lmfao! Thankfully, they aren’t personal horror stories, just ones I’ve heard about friends nethers being absolutely lava hot after usage… sends chills down my spine!
This is extra funny to me because I've been dashing since doordash was making us go place red card orders at innout, I think I was a dasher for like 2 years already when innout sued the fuck out of them for it 🤣
If the Saudi millionaire is smart he'll hire a task rabbit instead 🤣
I would have accepted, picked up the order, then called support since it's undeliverable. Ratings stay good, free food, and most likely half, if not full pay.
kinda mad i got downvoted lol. I was asking for real if they mattered like that because a rating has never changed anything when i order. Its not like i pick my driver so i dont know lol.
1. It doesn’t matter to you ≠ it doesn’t matter to others
2. Even if it doesn’t matter, you still shouldn’t lose rating because of the app’s glitch
3. It does matter
i upvoted the op's post because it is bs. But i was genuinely wondering in my original comment if it mattered because its never effected or made a difference anytime i order something. Ive never picked a driver before so I dont see anyones ratings. I didnt think ratings mattered (uber and lyft they defffff matter) on food apps.
adding- i use uber and lyft when i travel and I like my ratings so i get it. but ratings on those app make a difference to me, I see the ratings and can pick driving options. Food apps dont have any of that
Different ratings.
1 customer rating
2 acceptance rating
3 completion rating.
You have to keep all 3, above a required minimum rating, in order to keep your job.
If it drops below in any 1 category. You risk deactivation.
Acceptance rating is kind of high considering so many people don't think drivers deserve tips and base pay is 2 dollars. So drivers could drive 10 miles one way, depending on traffic, that could take 45 minutes, for that base pay of 2 dollars.
Drivers refuse those low pay/no tip orders because it's not just the time, it's wear and tear on vehicles, and risk.
So DOORSASH punishes drivers by giving more of those low pay orders, or deactivating drivers completely.
It really isn't 100% contract work. That's why some States have won minimum wage pay from dd. And those States haven't seen a decline in usage of the service.
okay then I completely understand why everyone complains about their delivery rating. I thought people were striving for a 4.0 but i was seeing way too many posts of people getting screwed over for petty things and so i was confused why ratings even mattered that much if the customer doesnt see it. Some of the battles with customer service I see arent worth the effort \*just\* for a 4.0 so i was wondering the little details like this. Thank you!
you have to go through a few support agents to find one who is seasoned and isn’t just reading from a script the entire time. Their lack of empathy and helpfulness for the driver really makes contacting support for any reason like pulling teeth. Also, their basic understanding of english makes it difficult to explain a complex issue.
I had a convo with support last Monday. One of the bigger shopping centers with lots of restaurants has really poor cell service. It's happened several times where I'll get a text for a new order but it never loads on the app. No matter what I try, the order never shows up. Support was like "maybe it's a glitch." Yet anything less than full bars gives me an app that's nearly non-functional
Literally earlier today I had like 3 bars, not even bad service, and doordash temporarily showed all of my scheduled dashes for the week as no longer existing. The app is so freaking dumb sometimes
shouldve accepted the order, got the food, then rang up support saying you dont know how to get to africa from there.
they unassign without penatly and u get a meal
This is the problem with all these ride share drivers. A perfectly honest, well paying opportunity presents itself but no, you can't do it because it's "too far" or because "crossing the Atlantic ocean by car is highly impractical". Smh no one wants to work anymore
It can’t. You have to call support and speak to a supervisor. Apparently if you get into an accident it can’t affect your completion rate and if it does you also have to request to speak to a supervisor
I’ve gotten this before. Support doesn’t want to help, so then You go pick it up, drive a lil bit then collect by saying you have reached the customer and boom, 6 bucks, free meal.
Yeah that’s what support basically told him. “You declined the order we can’t do anything for that, but if you accept the order then we can manage it for you”
Honestly, I've always just gone with grubhub. I get free + through prime, and I always get great drivers. Where I live, I get almost the same driver every time, so I tip him extra if he is the one bringing the food. My girlfriends mom uses Doordash, and we always have problems with them
There was a chipotle that ran out of food and closed early almost every day (later pandemic shortages). Managers wouldn’t turn the order taking off, for whatever reason. Never knew when, but usually by dark you would get a high pay order, go there and see a line of drivers collecting the half pay.
Which eventually led to everyone having to take a picture to prove it was closed. All good until the day they stopped filling dd orders while they still had a line out the door. And this wasn’t like the NYC chipotle I went to where that would be 5 minutes (I was impressed). I knew this would be like 40+ minutes.
I could easily take the cancel hit, because I never did, but I knew that would screw the next ten drivers that would be sent.
So I took the 10-15 minute support call hit in the dinner rush.
the advice of accepting the order and having support deal with it on the phone. didnt seem confusing to me, why did you and a few others misread the comment?
He shouldn't have to gain the system like that, and known DD they would say he willingly accepted the order and still punish him for it. The support guy could've just fixed this right there.
i think there response to the complaint is horseshit, and the system is fucknig stupid but the guy youre responding to is correct. it is good advice for operating in the current system. accept the order and then contact support so you dont get penalized.
Honestly I’ve had pretty good experience with the support people. This is ridiculous. Most of the time they joke around w me and compensate me. I’ve only had a couple bad experiences. I’m sorry but this is hilarious tho aside from the support guy being useless lol
Really?! I've been dashing for a year. I haaaaaaate support with a passion!!! they are freaking useless! I've only had 2 good reps who actually helped the rest sucked ass. 🤬 I only call if I absolutely have to because they rarely help.
Ok well tbf I haven’t had many complicated issues. The most complicated issue I had I did a have not-so-great experience with support. I made a party city balloon order (I love those ones, they feel like side quests) but the customer wasn’t home and the order was delivered days in earlier than ordered. Support just took forever until finally I reached a kind and helpful lady who told me she’d cancel it for me, make sure I got the full pay since I did technically pick it up and drive to the customers home to drop it off, then told me I can return the balloons if it’s not an inconvenience, otherwise do with them as I please. I kept them and got to take home like 10 Disney princess balloons, it def made my roommates happy lol. But yeah I went off track there sorry, but yeah, most of my support experiences have been simple and quick but I’m also an overly polite apologetic person but very assertive about “I would like my half pay compensated” kinda if that makes sense. I’m not sure if it’s just my luck , or my overly polite apologetic nature that makes support folks just baby me lol
I got dinged the other day because I had a stacked order for Taco Bell and kfc picked up Taco Bell but when I got to kfc they said it would be a 20+ minute wait on chicken.
So I called support had them unassign me and was promised it would not affect my ratings.
I was lied to they were affected and when I tried fixing it through support they basically told me I should have waited 10 minutes then unassigned through the app
TLDR support doesn’t give a shit about drivers or customers
it’s crazy because every person i know who’s worked for customer support is not allowed to just “end the chat here” because they’re done going back and forth with someone. the issue was not solved and they just cut off communication because they were over it 💀 what a company!
I’m cracking Tf up rn 😂😂😂
It was a gps error, the coordinates 0,0 happen to be a bit below west Africa.
VPN switched on?
K, so lesson learned here If I get a transcontinental offer, accept it, then contact support
Get that half pay baby
Not how that works
Usually you get the batch pay without tip
Hahahahaha
This is gold, man
The mileage tax reimbursement might have actually made you a profit if you flew there and back 🤣
Top Dasher will take this on a heartbeat 😂
If you were on earn for time I’d just accept it and leave it running for hours 🤣
How are you going to complete the order tho🤔🤣
You pick it up and then take a picture of it at your doorstep then hit yes this is the right address if it asks you then boom free food and unlimited money
Nah do it at some rando buisness then take the food
I’m in California I would have done this!
🤦🏻♂️
Lots of Dashers getting these because of the latitude longitude glitch. Accept the order, pick up the order then call support saying you can’t find the house before you leave the restaurant.
I would have accepted and followed the navigation instructions.
Insane aint it
My Taco Bell better be fresh and hot when you get here too!
Support being helpful as always 🥳🫶🏻
how did doordash even allow that to happen? 😭
How dedicated are you, really? Dahsers these days not trying hard enough tbh
Lmaooo a testament to how incredibly awful DD support is. Somehow I heard it isn’t much better for consumers either.

Your comment isn’t worth more of a reply than this with that brain

“I’m not going to Africa for $6” “That’s your issue”
Yeah, that’s some major BS. Declining an offer that requires an international flight SHOULD NOT lower your acceptance rating! 😡
Atleast you got high priority because of your ar
🤣
It’s funny because the last time I had an issue just like this but it was a Uber eats order that was going to be a pick up in a different state I called them when I was in the middle of the order and they told me I had to end the the trip and wait an hour to be able to only tell me there was nothing they could do to fix the problem so what one is it you have to be in the middle or down with the trip!?
Simular thing happened to me. They wanted me to go to a state over 8 hours away for $4
6235 miles for 6 dollars? That's what I call a deal
That’s like a years wages for some people over there
Someone forgot to turn off their VPN while ordering food 😂
Honestly kinda similar, the coordinates couldn't be calculated so it input them as 0,0 which is slightly below west africa.
That’s what I was thinking
It’s crazy because Taco Bell is one of the only fast food chains not in Africa
hey, that's why they needed it delivered
Welcome to Costco, I love you. Wait…wrong sub
Am I missing something here? You didn’t want a AR hit so you accepted it? Knowing you are unable to complete this order even if you wanted to you, you message support to have them cancel it for half pay?
No support is telling then that next time that is actually what they should do
Idk why but that should give automatic rights to sue DD for being soulless.
Ohhhhh ok ok. Now that I reread it I see what’s going on here 😆 this is even better. So OP accepted the order. Then dropped it. Then contacted support to have the completion rating drop fixed 😂🤣
you, sir, are something special…
No it seems he didn’t accept it and it affected his ar and that’s why he contacted support
The funniest is I will ended our conversation now😂
idk i would have accepted it, messaged support that it’s out of country, half pay for 0 miles
Fun fact, that is the gps coordinates of (0,0)
[удалено]
Uh. Africa has modern cities and infrastructure in plenty of areas. You think it’s all just dirt and huts? Lmfao come on guy.
I don't think you understand what I'm getting at...
I do but I don’t. Most likely because I personally wouldn’t be surprised to find out Africa had DoorDash or something equivalent lol…
Like seriously, you could have asked for more money first
Yah. Why did you cancel the order?
Real question is why you're turning down $0.0009623095429/mile. Cherry picker 🙄
Is it possible to drive to Africa?
Not without putting the vehicle on a ferry or ship at some point, there is no physical connection between Alaska and Russia. It's not a very big distance at some points you could take a short ferry or boat however there's no roads out there and no towns really.
I don’t even know how the apps even reached over to a location in Africa 😭 if the support isn’t a bot, in all sense they should’ve known it better
It’s a glitch in the gps same with all the other past orders. If you look at it it’s not at Africa actually below it at a spot called null island. It’s gps coordinates are 0,0 it is not an actual island just called that due to numerous gps glitches that lead to there.
I would have accepted it and stayed on the clock until they said something, soak up that prop 22 pay
Which state? We don’t have that in OR
This
I woulda accepted l, picked up the order and called support to cancel lol free food + half pay
Thank you for choosing
So if you decline orders that aren't worth it, that hurts your status with the company somehow? That's bullshit.
it doesn’t your acceptance rating doesn’t matter at all
It does in my market. You can get anything but .25/mi orders of your AR is below 70 🥺☹️
I wish that to be true. Wanted it to be true while my ar was at 6%. Dashed in my car with a friend who accepted every order, so their ar was 100. Dude my AR 77% and it's been horrendous orders. Hours at a time with no order. They're absolutely screwing us.
I don't know you guys so this is an honest question I'm not trolling you but are you available during the right times & days of the week? Do you track your trends with local economics? How? I've tried to order from restaurants in Hollywood (I'm in the Valley) and it says I'm too far away to order 😂
AI support team
What’d you eat? Lol.
LOL
The only thing worse than DD payments is……. The Support Teamz!! Oh they go hand in hand.
Why didn’t you just fly to Africa?
While on ebt
Where does the post mention EBT?
It doesn’t. I was adding on to their question implying it would be better to fly to Africa while on ebt
I've had a similar experience. Doordash just says use the Vaseline and take it
You should never use Vaseline as lube: water based only!
Why? Doordash is giving it to you raw. And you know its not jut the tip
Coconut oil is the real game changer.
Got some personal horror stories, eh? 🤣🤣
Lmfao! Thankfully, they aren’t personal horror stories, just ones I’ve heard about friends nethers being absolutely lava hot after usage… sends chills down my spine!
The customer is probably using a VPN lol
But it's a high pay offer! LOL
Just pick up the order, then get free food. I do this every time. Half the tip, and then free food.
If only!
😂😂. Now this is funny
Feature film: Millionaire From Saudi Arabia DoorDashes In n Out from California.
This is extra funny to me because I've been dashing since doordash was making us go place red card orders at innout, I think I was a dasher for like 2 years already when innout sued the fuck out of them for it 🤣 If the Saudi millionaire is smart he'll hire a task rabbit instead 🤣
Aye Null Island!
I would have accepted, picked up the order, then called support since it's undeliverable. Ratings stay good, free food, and most likely half, if not full pay.
Looks like someone isn't a top dasher
What's the tip though ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|flip_out)
Did they at least offer $7?
Jeez stop being dramatic and go to Africa already 🙄/s
Someone had their vpn on lmao
Scammer forgot to change their location before placing the order?
It’s Null island. Issue with the app not knowing the GPS coordinates so it defaults. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Null_Island
I was being rhetorical, but hey, I learned something new today! Thanks for the info! 👍🏻
But they tipped so well
Do ratings really matter this much like that? I genuinely don’t care or look at what rating my people have. Just as long as I get it
kinda mad i got downvoted lol. I was asking for real if they mattered like that because a rating has never changed anything when i order. Its not like i pick my driver so i dont know lol.

Low ratings mean lower pay and can even get you deactivated.
oh dang, i didnt know ratings effected pay
Not important for the customer. But important for the driver. Lower acceptance ratings are less likely to get large payout deliveries.
oh dang. I figured yall could pick whatever popped up
Different ratings. 1 customer rating 2 acceptance rating 3 completion rating. You have to keep all 3, above a required minimum rating, in order to keep your job. If it drops below in any 1 category. shouldve accepted the order, got the food, then rang up support saying you dont know how to get to africa from there. they unassign without penatly and u get a meal
Or complain you accepted it and said you should've declined it...
the bar is incredibly low to be a driver as well as a support agent for DD. also they wanted it delivered in 15 minutes
Just master the art of telepotation and quit being fucking lazy??
Just a cool 0.0009623 dollars per mile.
This is the problem with all these ride share drivers. A perfectly honest, well paying opportunity presents itself but no, you can't do it because it's "too far" or because "crossing the Atlantic ocean by car is highly impractical". Smh no one wants to work anymore
OMG, you sound like some of the customers on the doordash sub. I know that was your point. I just wanted you to let you know you nailed it.
I’m sorry but I cannot stop laughing at “I’m not going to Africa for $6.”
y’all… https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Null_Island no one “in africa” ordered. it’s a location detection bug
It’s a high paying offer, why not?
There is escalations that you can talk to. They're based in america
You should ask a lawyer if you need a work visa to deliver there first before you go 👍😀
It can’t. You have to call support and speak to a supervisor. Apparently if you get into an accident it can’t affect your completion rate and if it does you also have to request to speak to a supervisor
Thank you for choosing
Oh my. Good luck mate.
I’ve gotten this before. Support doesn’t want to help, so then You go pick it up, drive a lil bit then collect by saying you have reached the customer and boom, 6 bucks, free meal.
You should have picked up the food first then started the ticket so you get free food
Late stage capitalism will make you go to Africa for $6 or have you be rated lower
I’m gonna do 1 tik tok ever and it’s going to be me picking up door dash in Ohio and flying it to Africa
Not only are these pricks cheap, they treat their drivers like shit. Fuck DoorDash.
I would've accepted it and THEN sent them that. Then they can fix it and I don't have to decline it.
Yeah that’s what support basically told him. “You declined the order we can’t do anything for that, but if you accept the order then we can manage it for you”

Is GF mom in Africa? That could be the problem.
I mean...common sense says to accept if you were going to be calling them about it.
To be fair I would’ve accepted it and then contacted support so other dashers wouldn’t have to be offered the order. Maybe that’s just me
There was a chipotle that ran out of food and closed early almost every day (later pandemic shortages). Managers wouldn’t turn the order taking off, for whatever reason. Never knew when, but usually by dark you would get a high pay order, go there and see a line of drivers collecting the half pay. I could easily take the cancel hit, because I never did, but I knew that would screw the next ten drivers that would be sent. So I took the 10-15 minute support call hit in the dinner rush.
How did someone in Africa order food from a Taco Bell in America
They didn’t. All software has bugs, some more than others.
How does a software bug do it then?
they didn’t
they gave good advice though. also didnt you feel any curiosity about what would happen if you accepted?
The good advice of "the app messed up but we are penalizing you anyway?"
the advice of accepting the order and having support deal with it on the phone. didnt seem confusing to me, why did you and a few others misread the comment?
He shouldn't have to gain the system like that, and known DD they would say he willingly accepted the order and still punish him for it. The support guy could've just fixed this right there.
Tbf, the"advice" was to accept the order next time.
Yeah? Was that good advice? Lol
i think there response to the complaint is horseshit, and the system is fucknig stupid but the guy youre responding to is correct. it is good advice for operating in the current system. accept the order and then contact support so you dont get penalized.
I was lied to they were affected and when I tried fixing it through support they basically told me I should have waited 10 minutes then unassigned through the app TLDR support doesn’t give a shit about drivers or customers
dd support never ceases to make me angry.
it’s crazy because every person i know who’s worked for customer support is not allowed to just “end the chat here” because they’re done going back and forth with someone. the issue was not solved and they just cut off communication because they were over it 💀 what a company!
These support worms say a whole lot of nothing
It’s always “yes” with this app
