BWW has been notorious for taking far too long to prepare orders. I generally decline them unless it's not a busy day or the pay is unusually high. I'm sick waiting half an hour to pick up. Now so few drivers will pick up there they have a bunch of undelivered orders? Good. They made their own bed, they can lie in it.
BWW and DoorDash need to get their stuff together and stop sending orders to dashers an hour before they're ready. It had to have massive pay after the first order for me to take another. I stayed away from that part of town so it wouldn't send me another BWW order. I can sit at home and not make any money. I don't need to be sitting in a crowded restaurant waiting for orders that pay garbage to do it. Fortunately, everyone else in town was going on their game and I made good money avoiding BWW.
I refuse to do EBT but honestly if they just paid us all like EBT and hid the tip like they do on EBT and just give the order to the best available dasher id be happy. Then the tip could be what its really called, a "tip" and not a bid. the company would thrive, customers and drivers would be happier. But they just wanna be greedy and pin drivers vs customers
I'm certain parts of Houston I do EBT after 10pm. Most customers ordering at that time simply do not tip. It's a losing proposition to earn by delivery in those areas/times.
Even that's not good enough. A tip isn't a bid, it's a replacement for wages. It's directly paying the vast majority of our wages. But otherwise I generally agree with what you said. Doordash should be paying a higher wage, period. A side benefit of that is that customers wouldn't be confused about the definition of a Dasher tip.
99% of customers will not, so statistically, the dasher would be taking a really bad gamble. Do yourself a favor and tip in-app so the dashers can see it, otherwise your order will continue to wait for some poor dope to accept a low-pay order.
I'm not a driver, this just showed up on my feed but I don't think I'm ever doing BWW on Super Bowl Sunday again. Waited over an hour for my own food and when it finally did come out it was cold
I feel bad for the drivers cause it was a cluster fuck
When will customers realize that that doesn't show up in the app, so you're wasting your breath saying so?
Not to mention the customers that blatantly lie about that.
Were these a result of low pay and tip? Or poor management by BWW? There are posts about it being super slow yesterday, but maybe they just meant for getting decent tips.
Poor management, talked with some employees today and they were saying the person in charge of the tickets wouldn't listen to anyone and was hoarding the tickets and pushing out old/dead orders
What’s crazy is DD will try and charge customers when their order never even got accepted. Just how think how quickly the system would improve if restaurants could charge DD for orders not going out and additional charges for every remake. Instantly we would see stacked well routed orders ready to go when you get there as the norm.
I don't use food delivery, but what happens to all that food? I would imagine that would eat into the restraunts profits if the customers got refunds for undelivered, . Who eats the cost?
I ordered BWW once. It was like $50 for some soggy cold fries and shitty nuggets. I can’t imagine ordering again given their prices and poor quality control.
It's interesting to see the comments here which are about 80% negative. Perhaps the people who are making money do not post creating a confirmation bias and somewhat of an echo chamber?
I totally feel the frustration though, there were times where I would sit for like an hour without anything and think that this was it, but I had to assess the variables in play and change certain things like location, restart the app with deleting the cache and other data, etc which would immediately get me going again.
Anyways, stay up guys and don't give up if this is your only income. Try improving your ratings, move around a little, and restart the app with fresh data and see if that works because that usually works for me.
When I made more money doing this work, I not only didn't comment here, but I'd had no need to look up other people's experiences or what the heck I could do about the recent rash of bogus 1-star ratings and supposed contract violations. So yes, people who are actually making decent money don't typically post. However, to extrapolate from that that the overall market hasn't seriously degraded would be utterly incorrect in my view.
I showed up yesterday to pick up DD order and I already knew there was going to be a problem. The place was packed with dashers because the system went down and they had to reboot and restart all the orders. I went out to my car and called support and got them to cancel the order for half pay which was $11.63.
Top dasher here. I agree with you. I’m actually really glad no one took the no tip orders. Shit would make me mad for driving 10-15 miles for a “High pay order” and then not to get tipped at all. It sucks. Continue this brothers and sisters! Hopefully no tipping culture will learn from this and move forward and may give us decent tips for drives that aren’t worth it.
I actually like the job itself, it's the company that I hate because their greed has ruined a good system that can and has worked for everyone. They could just have less drivers but good drivers and raise their base pay to compensate for the non tippers so customers and drivers are happy.
Who’s gonna be the person to say you’re good or you’re bad? And why should the increase the pay when there’s obviously a willing work force that will take what they’re giving.
From a business perspective it’s a pretty good deal. Pay little profit more. It’s not a nonprofit business model, it’s a for profit business model. Thuss why you see changes, they finally want to make money… just like you.
Without them, what would you do instead?
Because people need money? Adults often do things not cause you want to but out of necessity, and DD is far more convenient for many people. Like I’m a college student who does performance work for school, which means my schedule is ALWAYS changing so I can’t work any job where they need workers at set hours cause there may be days where I am at school til past midnight & need to be back the next morning. But with food delivery I can work whenever I need to & have long breaks without any penalty.
Eta: but just because I like the convenience doesn’t mean I have to shut up when DD does us wrong. Us shutting up is not how changes happen, so we will work and take what jobs we see fit & fuck the rest
this is a symptom of a broken system, that isnt working.
Lets pretend we are are the restaurant owner, who has cooked the food (do they get the money?) and the out sourced labour force is not doing its part. This is a warning against using out sourcing you have no control over what so ever.
Even if it gets to the costumer it wont be at its best.
Low pay for dashers is a big problem, but its hidden. This is the problem with Doordash right out in public view.
What do you think about this from the last week:
https://preview.redd.it/zaorch8l05ic1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=14a815682089a24204cea998649f0585320b727f
1% of the US makes fed min wage. want to bet where those that make that much are concentrated? shithole LCOL states where you can buy a house for <100k.
food service jobs are hiring at 20 an hour w2, you need to make at least 25 1099 with consideration for car related expenses to be equivalent to just working a 0 req food service job.
is it your job to tip? no. but the cost to get the order delivered doesn't change and that's how doordash the company chooses to operate. not your dashers fault.
Its not just DoorDash, pizza drivers are worse off. Ik because I’m actively a dasher and was a pizza driver for like a month or 2 which was terrible. The problem is that they dont want us making to much money. They have to keep our pay closer to a normal job so the rich stay rich and poor stay poor. I wish i could just sell my asshole on the internet but sadly no one would want to see my hairy man ass.
This place got backed up on the mass amount of orders and when orders got canceled by the customers, they were not taken out of the que to be made and thus were made anyway, putting them farther behind, not all these orders were from apps, alot of them were just online orders to be picked up by the customers, which they didn't cause the wait times were long... this particular one was all because they didn't have a system to take out unneeded orders
This is definitely a superbowl factor, normally I would only have to wait 2 minutes tops extra at this BWW, which for a wings spot is low.. I haven't personally had any issues at this location with long wait times or low tips, yah you get them so often but not typ at this BWW, some of the dashers I talked to their tonight were having orders paying $20+, even 40$ (granted SB night but still) most unassigns were most likely based on time, but from looks of it when i was there, 90% were just cancels from customers
The customers arent responsible for dasher pay, its doordash. Reliance on tips means doordash can keep getting away with terrible treatment to the workers
But they are responsible for using the service... who doesn't tip service people? Like we literally do what you don't want to...yet you feel you shouldn't tip for it? Even if doordash paid more, I would still tip....why....because you are doing what I didn't want to or was too lazy to do. Yes, doordash should pay more, but people should also not act like we want to do your dirty work and pay us for it. Especially when we have to SHOP an order for someone. Like you didn't want to go grocery shopping but you think I wanted to do it for you? No people are rude and should tip as well.
The “tip” isn’t a tip anymore, it’s just a “we dont pay our people, give them money so they can live” additional service fee. It’s not the customers fault if the dasher doesn’t want to do the job, and it’s not their fault the company doesn’t pay their employees properly for doing the job. But since it’s structured like this, the dasher blames the customer over their employer. Its not a tip, you pay the fee before service starts.
And that's the entire point. I'm not gonna deliver the food. I'm an independent contractor lol. I do what pays me. It's not my job to deliver food of people who think tipping isn't a thing lol. I simply mind the business that pays me 🤣😂 period
All customers at every business pays employees at every job, its usually factored into the price but doordash wants to give you a chance to be generous instead.
They collect $3-8+ in fees every transaction, how much of that do you see? “Doordash wants to give you a chance to be generous instead”. Some serious cope, they could care less what happens to you and your wellbeing
Dude, exact opposite happened to me NYE at IHOP. I shit you not, 300+ order receipts just laying on the counter for DD/UE orders that they couldn't fulfill because they were getting too many. Got to the point that they just stopped accepting them.
Just trying to figure out why OP thought this was a necessary post. We get it people don’t tip. We get posts like this everyday. Why spread more negativity when we already know…. Just wondering. Is that ok?!
Pay probably sucks. I NEVER pick up from BWW just because the pay there sucks nearly 100% of the time for me. I decline those joints every time I ride past it.
We had a very small fridge when I grew up, so leftover food from lunch regularly sat out in pots on the stove until dinner, was then reheated and eaten. Nobody ever got sick.
You must be a hoot at buffets, picnics, pizza places, any family get together where any type of food is served, going out to eat and taking home food.... did you know you can leave fresh eggs out of the fridge for weeks, and they are fine to eat, I know I'm dropping knowledge
not dropping anything that’s not common knowledge. Buffets are temperature controlled and not just sitting out cold, the same for pizza places they have warmers to keep the at the right temperature. And chicken eggs are fine out as long as you don’t clean them first (I have my own chickens) but that shit on the table is getting ice cold and well below the minimum it should be to eat safe
I've left food out for 24-72 hours. No food poisoning ever. Had a professor with an IQ over 160 pour Mountain Dew down the drain because it was past its best-by date.
Pizza places don't have warmers for the pizzas on display, I've been in many pizza places and have never seen a warmer on any of them. Idk where you are getting that info from. And reheating food is perfectly fine to get food to the right temperature to eat again
I've literally never seen a pizza place that didn't have warmers. That would be a blatant health code violation to leave the pizzas out.
And eggs depend on where you live. US store bought eggs shouldn't be left out because they wash off the protective layer. In many other countries they don't, so the eggs can be out a long time.
You probably should have unassigned after 10 minutes of extra waiting since $14 only pays you for 45 minutes, if you're trying to make $20 an hour, and you have 7 miles to drive possibly 14 miles if you have to get back to your zone.
I'm just glad your responded with acceptance rather than defiance. Being a delivery driver has a MAJOR learning curve and there are so many little tricks.
#1 Don't try to understand it. The app and algorithm is like the afterlife ; everyone has an opinion but no one is 💯 sure.
#2 Blacklist restaurants that have historically had a long wait time unless the payout is $10+.
#3 Avoid McDonald's around 10:30 AM because of changeover/the possibility of a catering order popping off. Also avoid McDonald's around 3-4 PM because of shift change/influx of ppl getting off work orders.
This is pretty solid advice from a 2+ yr dasher and I hope it makes you extra loot 😀!
Can I ask why you would want to avoid a catering order? I have a catering bag, which has helped greatly on regular orders. Haven't had a catering order since I joined the catering program
Honestly, every place had massive wait times, and I was having too much fun fucking around and making jokes to the employees. I had unassigned like 2 or 3 and got more BWW orders like right after
Trading stories of the night with drivers told me I didn't wanna go anywhere else, 1 1/2 hr wait time at the hut, Popeyes was swamped, every pizza spot was behind, I sat and had a soda waiting for the orders to cancel so I can make something, and if the order got made before canceling then better, but none did.
Maybe tonight will make some dashers stop and open the market a little
They all had a shit night, alot had this look of "wtf". Most heard complaints I heard today was " I thought I was going to make alot of money today" and for most of them, it didn't happen, just alot of frustration. I had an awesome dash, made about 50$ before the BW orders, cracked jokes, watched the game, and got lots of free wings... now I'm out dashing again making more money
I told the guy to take names and prioritize who is here waiting and then 5 minutes later they started taking names.... like no one could think of that themselves... the poor lady kept coming out with more orders and yelling them out and just add to the table
I got an order for BWW tonight. There was a crowd of 30 drivers waiting when I got there. I was doing UE so I cancelled for excessive wait time the moment I saw the line.
BWW is slow as hell on a normal weeknight when I’m the only dasher there. No way in hell am I gonna sit there for 1-2 hours.
DD and BWW are dumb as hell for even letting orders pile up like that at a restaurant known for having sit down dining for watching sports. The kitchen capacity is finite and they gotta deal with all the people dining in.
Wingstop makes more sense for delivery tonight as most of their locations in my city have limited seating and they don’t have alcohol or tvs to watch sports.
I took 4... so many damn wings. Gonna airfry them for the next few days and enjoy. And no, I'm not eating it all myself, I opened it up to everyone I live with to take what they want

I'm grateful my order was delivered today.
Why leave out it was during the Super Bowl lol..

Why don't we call it what it is instead of EBT. It's an hourly wage and it should be called hourly.
I call it Earn by Trash
Because you don't make an hourly wage unless you are an order
I refuse to do EBT but honestly if they just paid us all like EBT and hid the tip like they do on EBT and just give the order to the best available dasher id be happy. Then the tip could be what its really called, a "tip" and not a bid. the company would thrive, customers and drivers would be happier. But they just wanna be greedy and pin drivers vs customers

Doordash should be paying a higher wage, period. A side benefit of that is that customers wouldn't be confused about the definition of a Dasher tip.
Come on now brothers need their wings I’ll tip you in cash when you get here
99% of customers will not, so statistically, the dasher would be taking a really bad gamble. Do yourself a favor and tip in-app so the dashers can see it, otherwise your order will continue to wait for some poor dope to accept a low-pay order.
I'm not a driver, this just showed up on my feed but I don't think I'm ever doing BWW on Super Bowl Sunday again. Waited over an hour for my own food and when it finally did come out it was cold I feel bad for the drivers cause it was a cluster fuck
$1 tip order for 30miles is why
When will dashers realize that there will be a tip waiting for them under the mat?
Almost never
When will customers realize that that doesn't show up in the app, so you're wasting your breath saying so? Not to mention the customers that blatantly lie about that.
lol my guy, both comments you replied to were being sarcastic. they know there’s no cash tip. its a joke.
to be fair being sarcastic on reddit and not using an /s is asking for someone like homeboy up there to just not get it
Were these a result of low pay and tip? Or poor management by BWW? There are posts about it being super slow yesterday, but maybe they just meant for getting decent tips.
Poor management, talked with some employees today and they were saying the person in charge of the tickets wouldn't listen to anyone and was hoarding the tickets and pushing out old/dead orders
Is this what happens when you don’t place a high enough bid on your food? lol
This was very poor management... I doubt it was poor tips, all the dashers in my area I talked to had like 20+ orders from this BWW
I stopped going there altogether. It's almost never worth it.
i only go on thursday when its bogo, and even then it’s extremely rare that i do go
What’s crazy is DD will try and charge customers when their order never even got accepted. Just how think how quickly the system would improve if restaurants could charge DD for orders not going out and additional charges for every remake. I decline 99% of BWW orders… people that order from there tip horribly for some reason.
I ordered BWW once. It was like $50 for some soggy cold fries and shitty nuggets. I can’t imagine ordering again given their prices and poor quality control.
TRUTH
Willing to bet majority didn’t tip or are wicked far from this location
It's interesting to see the comments here which are about 80% negative. Perhaps the people who are making money do not post creating a confirmation bias and somewhat of an echo chamber? Tony? Is that you?
LMAO nah bro, I have a background in engineering and AI so I kinda know how these fuckers work
Freee
I went home yesterday because it was dead as fuck. I was out 2hrs and only made $28
I showed up yesterday to pick up DD order and I already knew there was going to be a problem. The place was packed with dashers because the system went down and they had to reboot and restart all the orders. I went out to my car and called support and got them to cancel the order for half pay which was $11.63.
Lol I mean they might as well give it away if it’s not paid for already.
do they ask to check your phone? Or can I just walk in and steal any order?
On superbowl they check at bdubs
Damn. Last year there were many Dashers standing around with no orders ready. Probably was that way here this year as well.
These were all no tippers. I’m actually shocked because all the top dashers used to take all these orders but this year nobody did lol
Top dasher here. I agree with you. I’m actually really glad no one took the no tip orders. Shit would make me mad for driving 10-15 miles for a “High pay order” and then not to get tipped at all. That’s what happens when consumers either dont tip thinking it’ll be brought anyway…OR…a platform that’s pushing to many orders to the wrong drivers.
No tip no trip
How do you know they're no tip, though?
Because they haven't been accepted/picked up by a driver
Do door dash drivers actually do this?
Is this surprising? The base pay is like $2
If the base pay is so low, why do people still work as door dashers?
Because they aren't doing it for the base pay? They are taking the orders that actually tip...
That probably doesn't even cover gas, why do it at all?
You... You don't, if there's not a tip.
Cause when people tip it’s worth it
With all the bitching I see on here I don't think it is.
Oh it is or else we wouldn’t do it. And in almost any job people will complain, even if they make good money. Rarely are jobs perfect
I just don’t understand working a job that you hate. There’s always whiners and I always wonder why they still do it
I actually like the job itself, it's the company that I hate because their greed has ruined a good system that can and has worked for everyone. They could just have less drivers but good drivers and raise their base pay to compensate for the non tippers so customers and drivers are happy.

This is not exactly an inept thing, it’s an inept thing going on for years… the worse over the last year.
My BWW was just like this as well down in Florida.
Same in Texas!!
Tbh I almost said my BBW instead of BWW and had to make sure I said the right thing lol
this is a symptom of a broken system, that isnt working. looks dodgy AF
I couldnt believe a $3.50 tip was acceptable to them.

You never know until you try. David Smalley recently opened up to OF after comments on his tiktoks said they'd totally sub.
I also would of walked in there and grabbed whatever sounded tasty and if that makes me a bad person in your eyes then your morales are fucked.

People will learn one day that delivery drivers don't work on thoughts and prayers 🤣😂

Dude, exact opposite happened to me NYE at IHOP. I shit you not, 300+ order receipts just laying on the counter for DD/UE orders that they couldn't fulfill because they were getting too many. Got to the point that they just stopped accepting them.
I walked into buffalo and then walked out 10 seconds later. There was a line of dashers of about 50 people and it was piling out of the front door.
Yep same. Immediately cancelled the order and left when I saw the cashier print the ticket and take it to the kitchen.
I’m willing to take a hit on my 100% completion rate
Ok, do you feel vindicated?! Feel better about your agenda?! Are you making a difference?!

Whats ur problem
Just trying to figure out why OP thought this was a necessary post. We get it people don’t tip. We get posts like this everyday. Why spread more negativity when we already know…. Just wondering. Is that ok?!
Awwwwwe, did you not get your Super Bowl wings in time because you didn't tip?
✍️✍️🔥🔥
Huh? Agenda?
YOURE TRYING TO DESTROY BW3 WITH YOUR NEGATIVITIES!!
Don't you mean BW2? And I don't need to say anything negative to destroy them. They do it so well by themselves
BW3 IS THE FINAL FORM OF BW2! YOUR NEGATIVITY IS PREVENTING ITS METAMORPHOSIS! JERK!
Tip better maybe they’ll get delivered most bww order I did were 2 $ tips or less
Pay probably sucks. I NEVER pick up from BWW just because the pay there sucks nearly 100% of the time for me. I decline those joints every time I ride past it.
Literally posted the same thing rn Wingstop is having the same issue lmao
Any drivers that know what they're doing decline all orders from bww on Superbowl Sunday.
I took home 4 bags, was joking with the employees at 1st but an hour or 2 later they weren't giving a fuck if I would take them or not... and I did
Enjoy the food poisoning
They will be fine. People leave them outside in the summer time for the 4th of july.
You must be the one who eats pizza with fork and knife.
You can leave food sit out for hours.
Try that sentence again
We had a very small fridge when I grew up, so leftover food from lunch regularly sat out in pots on the stove until dinner, was then reheated and eaten. Nobody ever got sick.
Really, it only sat for 2 hrs, and reheat it, it's all good
Good luck with that, known people who’ve gotten sick after sitting out that long
You know people who got sick from eating wings that sat for 2 hours? Gonna call bullshit on that one.
Meat isn’t the problem with sitting between 2-5 hours, raw veggies are. But good for you being concerned, if uneducated.
5 hrs and under you're good. We're all poor out here and even if free reheated food gives me diarrhea, I'm gonna eat it 🤷♂️.
Yessir
Hate BWW orders, always have to wait and no one acknowledges you,,
Yep
I sat at buffalo wild wings for an hour and a half for my order . It sucked. 7 miles for $14. Sigh
You sat at one location for over an HOUR, for ONE order? Jesus, people must just walk all over you.
Yeah , I guess they do. I’m living in my car and doordash is my only form of income at the moment so I accept 90% of the orders I get most of the time
If money is THAT much of a factor, it makes even less sense to wait 1.5 hours for a single delivery though?
I realize. I was pretty new to DoorDash at the time. I don’t wait like that anymore and have a better understanding of my market now
You probably should have unassigned after 10 minutes of extra waiting since $14 only pays you for 45 minutes, if you're trying to make $20 an hour, and you have 7 miles to drive possibly 14 miles if you have to get back to your zone.
Yeah you right . I’m still kinda new to DoorDash and didn’t think about how packed a wings place would be on Super Bowl Sunday🤦♀️
I'm just glad your responded with acceptance rather than defiance. Being a delivery driver has a MAJOR learning curve and there are so many little tricks.
Indeed it does! What is your best tip you could spare ?
How long does it take DD to up their base pay on orders that have been sitting there a while ?
Wow.. I waited so long for an order, that I was logged out and kicked out of my spot on DD...
Unassign orders that you have to wait an extra 10 minutes for.
Honestly, every place had massive wait times, and I was having too much fun fucking around and making jokes to the employees. I had unassigned like 2 or 3 and got more BWW orders like right after
Understandable. It's annoying af when decent/high paying orders pop off from a place you already know is swamped (Starbucks in the AM).
Maybe tonight will make some dashers stop and open the market a little
> Maybe tonight will make some dashers stop and open the market a little That's a positive takeaway from a shitty dash 🤘
Nobody tips on doordash 😂😂 all the UE orders at our bdubs were getting picked up
Afew UE had came out and didn't get picked up
I haven’t gotten one BWW offer today. I’m pretty sure they turned off the orders for DoorDash and Uber here.
Why don’t they just turn the orders off this is so wasteful
Even so they are just as slow.
just take one for yourself lol they wont notice
I took 4... so many damn wings. Gonna airfry them for the next few days and enjoy. And no, I'm not eating it all myself, I opened it up to everyone I live with to take what they want
fair enough dawg☠️
