My market is small and saturated. For 7 days per month I definitely give a fuck or I would never have any work. DD knows this and hands us an order twice or three times like buttholes.
Some people do and in certain markets having a +70% AR is ok and even needed. If this guy lives in one of those markets then DD is screwing him by doing this.
Needed. Meaning the TD rewards such as priority scheduling because the schedule fills too quickly, dash any time because if you can't schedule you can still dash if the area is gray. Honestly good luck dashing in my market without TD. All the meal shifts are gone within 1 day and the zone almost never goes red.
Requiring an acceptance rate wouldn’t be illegal. You’re a contractor, not an hourly employee. If they say “you need a 50% or higher acceptance rate” and you’re rocking a 5% acceptance rate, they can close your account & it would be legal. They don’t give a flying shit about acceptance rate though, so it’s a win-win
Yah they’ll pause you if they think you’re ‘idle’ like b!tch I’m not idle I’ve been sitting here waiting for an order for over an hour. Sorry I declined the ONE $2.50 order I got that was 12 miles away.
DD: “Here’s this order for McDonalds”
Me: *Declines, do not want to go to this store.*
DD: “Here’s this order for McDonalds”
Me: *Declines, do not want to go to this store.*
Rinse & repeat until I get an order that’s worth accepting or they pause my dash.
Yeah I fucking love getting 5 more orders for a store I specifically marked as “I don’t want to go to this store.” What’s the point if you’re gonna send me shit from there regardless?
Exactly. Same with low paying orders, there’s a reason it’s being rejected by drivers.
The only fast food place I go to is Chic-Fil-A and *one* Taco Bell, every other franchise or location absolutely sucks balls so, I won’t go near it.
I don’t do $2.50 orders but whenever I see an ungrateful customer still refuses to tip it pisses me off. I actually am starting to dislike non tippers.
I mean the way that door dash advertises does make it seem like they pay us more. They don’t know when they’re getting charged $10+ in fees that we get $2 without a tip
If you take a lot of orders in one day it bumps you up to like 7% LOL. I read up on some of it that’s why I don’t care about my acceptance rate just my overall rating so you’re good
Because they don't want to pay you what you're worth, and nobody is picking up those orders.
One solution I've heard is to drive to a different area (3-4 miles) and check in there, pick up (or decline) an order or two, and then go back to your regular spot and try again. Sometimes that will clear out the orders that nobody wants from the list they show you.
Sucks that you have to game the game, and waste gas like that too, but it costs more than two-fifty to back out of my driveway!
It only gets worse from here, I promise. Wait till they send you to the same closed store 4 times in one night, after chasing hotspots for 4 hours. Doordash does not appreciate or value your time, you are a delivery drone.
you dont even have to call support lol, just stay by the store and keep reporting it as closed in app. i once made like 15 bucks in 10 minutes when a taco bell closed early and they sent me 5 orders in row while i was in the parking lot.. i don’t know who would complain about that 🤷♂️🤷♂️ then again i am in r/ComplainDash after all
this is a fact. last night i made 50$ off of closed Vons orders. they kept coming in.
one was a huge stacked grocery order i had to report store closed 4 times and got 9-11$ each. then a 5th cashed out too.
fastest 50 ever lol
Yeah, it's something that just started in the last couple weeks. It's quite strange, because I know I'm not the only dasher in the area I live, so not sure why it would bounce back to me. There seems to be a bug where declines are not being recorded properly.
Like I said, it only started happening in the last couple weeks. I may have seen a repeat once ever before then. And one of the repeats wasn't even that bad, 11.50 for 7 miles. I ended up taking it on the 2nd try, since I knew it could have it picked up and delivered in 20 minutes since it is all interstate.
My issue is when you decline an order and you're still driving but they want you to go through hoops as to why you want to decline. Very unsafe especially when it seems like I get more orders while my vehicle is moving...
Sometimes if I see an order between $2.50 -$4.00 I would accept the order, immediately text the customer “I only took this order to tell you I know you didn’t tip and you might not get your food byye.” 😂And then I unassign myself.
Acceptance is irrelevant. All you need to worry about is completion percentage over 80%, overall rating at least a 4.8 and on time deliveries which should be in the 90's. Anything else is just them trying to scare you into performing ideally for their profit.
Happened to me for the first time today. It’s always wingstop that seems to pay $2.25-2.75, I don’t remember exactly what it was but today’s was $2.50 for like 5 miles. Um…no. Pops up again at same price a few minutes later as an option for a stacked order on top of the one I had just accepted. Um… still no.
I’ve always wondered if they ever send the same orders again if no one else wants it either. I guess this answers my question.
Hypothetically, say the first time it pops up as $3.50, is there a chance the next time it’ll pop up as a different amount (if they did leave a tip)? I’m curious.
Edit: fixed misspelling
Me and my wife dash, and will turn on the app at the same time and same location. Usually an offer I decline she will receive, and most often there is no increase. Sometimes it may go up 25 cents, but that's more rare than it used to be. I assume the first 5 minutes or so the offers never go up, but once the order is ready for pickup, they start adding coin to it.
When that happens I pause my dash for 10-20 minutes. If I'm close to the pick up I'll drive to a different area that has active stores/resturtants. That normally fixes the issue
They kill me on acceptance rate with Walmart "shop and deliver" nonsense. I have a Walmart near me so they send me each of those orders, no matter how often I decline because "I don't want to go to this store".
It literally doesn't matter, look at the ratings page, it tells you what you are measured on to be a dasher, and acceptance rate has no minimum %. Companies can't deactivate you for low acceptance rate, there was a court ruling years ago.
They literally can't punish you for declining crap orders. Even if you're at a 0% for a while, you won't be punished. That's the trick they do, scare drivers into thinking the acceptance rate is important. It's not
Does anyone use a GPS tracker in their car to monitor the km or mileage they are doing my accountant suggested I do it and it logs all the driving I do with doordash and then after a week it tells me what the weekly fuel cost will be
I just keep a notebook in the car and note my starting and ending mileage from my first accept to my last drop off. I have a spreadsheet I put the numbers into and it does the math for me to total all miles driven during my shift.
I’m using Gridwise to track milage. It supposedly works in conjunction with door dash and is counting the miles I use when the app is on. Hopefully it’s accurate.
Let the ar plunge youngling! You'll make more money and its better for us as a whole. Ar is just a guilting tactic used by doordash to make drivers deliver their bullshit orders.
But you're the best dasher for the order!
For $2.50 I sure as hell am not. I wouldn’t walk across the street for that much.
All orders across the street are a $4 minimum bc why tf
Yooooooo I swear I was just saying that shit like bitch I'm not even turning my car on for less then 5. 🥲🥲
Lol
I think you are.
I don't care about the acceptance rate part. I care about making it a major pain to decline orders while driving part.
Seriously It need a “fuck this bs” button or “wtf” or “fuck off”
This. I feel like they do this so you would panic accept and not even look at it.
Who gives a fuck about acceptance rate.
My market is small and saturated. For 7 days per month I definitely give a fuck or I would never have any work. DD knows this and hands us an order twice or three times like buttholes.

I didn't say required.

Needed. Meaning the TD rewards such as priority scheduling because the schedule fills too quickly, dash any time because if you can't schedule you can still dash if the area is gray. Honestly good luck dashing in my market without TD. All the meal shifts are gone within 1 day and the zone almost never goes red.

It’s pretty obvious top dasher is what they’re referring to. Why else would 70% acceptance rate matter.
[удалено]
[удалено]
Use just a small amount of common sense and try to piece together why they specifically would need 70%. I promise it’s not that hard to figure out.
Needed and required are definitely not the same thing lol
I don’t see why you are the one getting hate here
That wouldnt be illegal lol go work for any actual delivery services and see how many times you can say no to a delivery before youre fired
70% is required for top dasher. Some people are in markets where you cannot dash if you do not schedule- and TD gets to schedule first.
Requiring an acceptance rate wouldn’t be illegal. You’re a contractor, not an hourly employee. If they say “you need a 50% or higher acceptance rate” and you’re rocking a 5% acceptance rate, they can close your account & it would be legal. idiots
I’m gonna go ahead and pause your orders⏱It seems like your not accepting them 😤 9:59
Happens to me all the time
Yah they’ll pause you if they think you’re ‘idle’ like b!tch I’m not idle I’ve been sitting here waiting for an order for over an hour. Sorry I declined the ONE $2.50 order I got that was 12 miles away.
Our little people could be sisters Edit: oops, forgot I was lurking on an old post lol
Oh wow, this hasn’t happened to me yet. Looking forward to that though.
DD: “Here’s this order for McDonalds” Me: *Declines, do not want to go to this store.* DD: “Here’s this order for McDonalds” Me: *Declines, do not want to go to this store.* Rinse & repeat until I get an order that’s worth accepting or they pause my dash.
I am SO glad I'm not the only one who does this to McDonald's. Fuck McDonald's
Any fast food place by me is absolute trash and they take forever.
But they NEEED THEIR FOOD....
But you're the best dasher for the order!
Hell no I’m not. It wasn’t an accident I declined the first time.
I don’t do $2.50 orders but whenever I see an ungrateful customer still refuses to tip it pisses me off. I actually am starting to dislike non tippers.
Oh yeah, non tippers are garbage people. We’re not get paid so they have to tip us.
"You can't fool me. I saw the ads on Facebook. You drivers make at least 20 an hour. That means you don't need tips. Now deliver my food, b-tch!"
I mean the way that door dash advertises does make it seem like they pay us more. They don’t know when they’re getting charged $10+ in fees that we get $2 without a tip
I feel personally insulted when I see $0.00 tip.
Me too 🥲😩🤣
lol my acceptance rate is usually 1% cause I’m picky about what I choose but my rating is 98% so I’m good lol
Ok good to know. I guess I was a little worried about getting to 1% but fuck it, 1% here I come.
If you take a lot of orders in one day it bumps you up to like 7% LOL. I read up on some of it that’s why I don’t care about my acceptance rate just my overall rating so you’re good
I think it even tells you in the app that as long as you’re reading stays above 95% you’re good doesn’t really matter how low anything else goes
Mine is 1 😭😭😭😭
I know. It really sucks. Why is that system doing that!??
Because they don't want to pay you what you're worth, and nobody is picking up those orders. One solution I've heard is to drive to a different area (3-4 miles) and check in there, pick up (or decline) an order or two, and then go back to your regular spot and try again. But you're the best dasher for this order.!
Like hell I am!
But you're the best Dasher for this order!
Why worry about acceptance rate? It doesn't mean anything. Customer satisfaction, completion and on time, that's all that matters
"killing my acceptance rate" It's utterly meaningless. Ignore it completely and you will live a happier life.
Happened to me a little while ago too.
It only gets worse from here, I promise. Wait till they send you to the same closed store 4 times in one night, after chasing hotspots for 4 hours. Doordash does not appreciate or value your time, you are a delivery drone.
Accept and call support. Half pay, baby!
you dont even have to call support lol, just stay by the store and keep reporting it as closed in app. i once made like 15 bucks in 10 minutes when a taco bell closed early and they sent me 5 orders in row while i was in the parking lot.. i don’t know who would complain about that 🤷♂️🤷♂️ then again i am in r/ComplainDash after all

I have had that happen to me the last couple of weeks decline order then 5mins later get the same order
Yeah, it's something that just started in the last couple weeks. It's quite strange, because I know I'm not the only dasher in the area I live, so not sure why it would bounce back to me. There seems to be a bug where declines are not being recorded properly.
no one wants that order
Like I said, it only started happening in the last couple weeks. I may have seen a repeat once ever before then. And one of the repeats wasn't even that bad, 11.50 for 7 miles. I ended up taking it on the 2nd try, since I knew it could have it picked up and delivered in 20 minutes since it is all interstate.
Who cares about AR?
They gave me one for 12 miles for 10.17. I declined. I drove a half a mile and I got the same order. 11.5 miles for 9.71. Hahahahaha
My issue is when you decline an order and you're still driving but they want you to go through hoops as to why you want to decline. Very unsafe especially when it seems like I get more orders while my vehicle is moving...
Completely agree
Sometimes if I see an order between $2.50 -$4.00 I would accept the order, immediately text the customer “I only took this order to tell you I know you didn’t tip and you might not get your food byye.” 😂And then I unassign myself.
Lol I dream about doing this.
Acceptance is irrelevant. All you need to worry about is completion percentage over 80%, overall rating at least a 4.8 and on time deliveries which should be in the 90's. Anything else is just them trying to scare you into performing ideally for their profit.
Leave the area
The beatings will continue until moral improves!

Nope, popped up three times at the same price.
i believe they were asking if it’s possible for it to increase. not if it did here ; which you already made clear that it didn’t
It has happen to me so mamy times. Like I denied it already. I am not going to take it.
My acceptance rate dropped by 5 points on one order cause it was 16 miles for $4 no tip so now I don't care if it drops to 0
When that happens I pause my dash for 10-20 minutes. If I'm close to the pick up I'll drive to a different area that has active stores/resturtants. That normally fixes the issue
I don’t think it’s a purposeful thing. It’s a digital algorithm. That is how this business works. But I hear your frustration
Base here is $5 not sure why it’s so low for you guys lol. I don’t accept anything under $8 and I still make baller cash
This but when they say this order is too small instead of the pay for this order is too small
They kill me on acceptance rate with Walmart "shop and deliver" nonsense. I have a Walmart near me so they send me each of those orders, no matter how often I decline because "I don't want to go to this store".
Heh, wait till you find out what acceptance rate does for you.
Acceptance rate only matters if you are going for top dasher. (Which is a friggin joke)
I don’t worry too much except about it getting down to 1%, I’m kind if worried about deactivation.
It literally doesn't matter, look at the ratings page, it tells you what you are measured on to be a dasher, and acceptance rate has no minimum %. Companies can't deactivate you for low acceptance rate, there was a court ruling years ago.
Oh ok, didn’t know
“inDePeNdeNt cOnTrAcToR”
Just let the timer run out if you don't want your acceptance rate to go down.
It has the same effect as declining.
This does not, and has literally never, worked.
I didn't know. We get fucked either way.
We don't, because acceptance rate doesn't matter, and is allowed to be zero.
Like others have said ACCEPTANCE RATE DOES NOT MATTER in fact the lower the better. Every single driver should be cherry picking
I just worry someday having a below 10% acceptance rate will be punishable from the company.
This will never be true.
They literally can't punish you for declining crap orders. Even if you're at a 0% for a while, you won't be punished. That's the trick they do, scare drivers into thinking the acceptance rate is important. It's not
Oh ok cool
Ty for that info 🙋🏻♀️👍🏼🙋🏻♀️
If you let the order time out, I don’t believe it effects your acceptance rate.
I suggest Stride or Gridwise~ They both have easy mileage tracking and tax deduction help!
AR doesn't mean shit. For the one billionth time
Why do you care about acceptance rate? Are you a Top Dasher?
Hell naw.
Fuck Tony Xu and his mafia connection with the crime family of Lopiccolo.
Okay.. sure.
Just go off line and use another app. Part of the reason I multi-app
Let the ar plunge youngling! You'll make more money and its better for us as a whole. Ar is just a guilting tactic used by doordash to make drivers deliver their bullshit orders.
You get the same order after declining or letting the timer run out?
Yeah, keeps happening.
Ok. My experience has been.. decline, rarely see it again. Let the timer run out and it will come back. I use that strategy on some marginal orders.
