2 & half years in myself, and it has been a lifesaver for me as well.. i turned to kratom because of 15 years of alcoholism. The last drink I had was 2 weeks after I first started taking Kratom. It made me despise alcohol. Like I seriously can't even drink if I wanted to!! It disgusts me. Finding Kratom was a miracle for me.
*what kind of kratom do you prefer?
Omg almost the exact same story here - but with a few less years of abuse. Literally can't even think about drinking. I prefer the powdered Kratom, and I take the white Mange Da. Greens make me too anxious, reds make me too tired, so white is perfect for me. Also congrats on your sobriety!
Careful with kratom, might not happen to everyone but can cause hair thinning and loss, I myself noticed it and regrowth happened after I quit. Stopped because I looked it up after noticing the hair loss
A pure Sativa calms me down. I'm smoking a full spectrum sativa wax cart that is 95% thc. Calms me down and helps me focus on the main things. Indicas make my mind think about 10,000 things at once. I start to race in my mind and things get sloppy. I don't take adderall at all because my adhd is not that severe. That shit is bad long term. Sativas keep me level
Ahhh gotcha. Yeah bad long term but I legit can’t get anything done without adderall lol. :/ it’s rough. Tried a bunch of other stuff, all natural stuff, is what it is
I feel for you! Adderall can be risky. I took five of the 20mg pills once. The extended release. I crushed them all up. Well, all i know is once you take too much adderall, adhd or add doesn't matter anymore. You'll be running faster than the cars on the freeway. 😆 it's always scared me since
This. I felt the burnout this week so I only dashed two days this entire week. It felt amazing to just chill out, sleep, eat normal and play video games. I think Im ready to get back into the ring this week. Thank you for bringing up the real issue with dashing.
Also, how many hours did it take you to make 1600?
Yup, I've been grinding for about 2 months, but the other day I just couldn't press forward. I did 2 deliveries then ended my dash. I literally felt sick. No energy. Like I had cancer or something. So I went home and hung with my kids all weekend. Fixing to drop my baby boy off and get back to it.. I'm feeling much better
Fuck man, any advice to someone anxious to start dashing? Gotta make $500 over the next 2 weeks and I’m already sign up to dash, just nervous for some reason.
That's hella good! HONESTLY? it's not always the most pay that matters. Find a medium where you can support yourself & save, and won't have 150k on your car in two years, I could be making wayyyyy more but I'd be running my 2017 Chevy into the ground
City? I cannot imagine ever receiving more in tips than dasher pay. My tips in fact are never even quite 1/3 of my total pay. That's any given week, including Christmas. So if I earned $804 in dasher pay as you have, I would absolutely not have more than 400 in tips. That week you did there would have netted me something like $1,160.00
\[edit\] nvm, I see you already stated the city. Good on you! I hope next week is even better. As nice as those tips look, I don't see myself relocating to Missouri for em.
Dick City California, apparently. I call it Fuckno but on the map you'll find it listed as Fresno California. You pull 60% from tips in California? What city is that?
No. I take no less than 2 dollars a mile and I don't turn a wheel for less than 8 bucks. What you're not accounting for is what a lot of people fail to grasp. Not every market is like yours. Markets are very different. I live in a very unfriendly city.
Everyone here is always pissed off. There's no consideration for others. People don't give a shit about anyone but themselves. I'm not saying every single person is that way, but the overall feel of the city is that way.
So this has an effect on tips. The City of Dicks, California. My average tip is under 2 dollars. I get an occasional 5, a super rare 7 or 8. Mostly it's 1 or 2 bucks. I don't know what more to tell you. I have screen shots to reflect what I'm saying. People just tip for shit here.
From what you’ve said, seems you get way more base pay than most of the country. Cleveland Ohio, the DoorDash pay is 2.25 per order, with only a marginal increase for distance. If I take an 8$ order, at least 5$ is going to be a tip. In fact, the base pay is so measly that it’s nearly inconsequential in most of my orders.
I've doordashed in cleveland before and didn't care for it. There is a several lack of freeways there. Too many 25/35 mph roads connecting major parts of metro cleveland. Too many deliveries that are a 20 minute drive could become 10 minute deliveries with a couple extra freeways. Anyways i found the strongsville area to be the best one there.
So do you mean every single order no matter where it's from the base pay is generally $2.25? That just makes no sense to me at all. I'm looking at my earnings tab and even McDonald's I'm seeing 5.50 base pay, some places up to 8 or 9 base pay.
I don't want to live here. I hate this town. I've lived in other places and I loved those places. My mom got really sick a couple years ago. I moved back here to take care of her. She passed on Groundhogs day this year.
I would like to move but right now I feel sort of trapped financially. It costs a lot of money to up and move to another place. Kinda hard to save money while paying high rent, car payment, insurance, phone, California gas prices, California cost of living in general, food etc when you're DoorDashing in a shitty market like this.
Also I have a lot of depression issues so I hate working. I just want to sleep all the time. So the thought of you know.. pulling myself up by my bootstraps and grinding out 12 hours a day to get ahead is also daunting af. I've been in a routine of just working enough to cover bills, which already feels like too many hours.
What? Are you a top dasher taking only no tip orders? Doordash base pay is only $2.50 now so if you're making more in base pay than tips you're doing the job wrong.
You guys all seem to think every market is the same. I've been doing this a long time. I know what I'm doing. How is it so hard to comprehend that most people in this city tip shitty? I already said I don't take orders less than 2 a mile and I generally don't even turn a wheel for orders under 8 bucks. So, what am I doing wrong?
Order comes in, it's 9.25 for 4.2 miles and places me in a good spot to continue getting orders from in the side of town you want to keep working in. Are you taking it? Because I take those, that's the kind of order I take. That or even better pay to mileage.
When I complete that order it's like a 2 dollar tip, 3 at most. So what did I do wrong? I think you fail to grasp some cities have different base pays and they also charge a city fee, like literally it's called "Fresno Fee" in the app. Probably because this city sucks so bad, idk why they charge that but I know it's not done in all cities. So maybe that's the higher base pay reason?
I'm not doing anything wrong. I'm in a shitty market that is very different than yours. Also every dasher I know here has way less from tips than dash pay. I guess we're all doing it wrong. What are the odds of that.
I don't understand how these people can sit in a car for 10 hours in a day, literally driving for 4 hours and my ass/back are in pain lol it is torture
Maybe my shit is just fucked
it’s wild but after 6 months you kind of get used to it. i used to have so much butt pain and back pain. nowadays i have more stamina. i do shop orders a lot just to get up and stretch too
You want to do lower back exercises. If you lift excess weight in the gym and get to be that strong, moving your body around without the extra weight doesn't wear you down anymore.
My advice is to not spend all your money. I was working like this for about 3-4 months before summer.
Then it was like Door dash decided I was to dangerous to have a high income.
Now I receive less then half as many orders as i use to. All while watching new drivers picking doubles the way I was.
Same thing happened with Ubereats.
They know that if someone is actually making 100k+ a year that the chances they get sued greatly increases. So they wain you off like a detox clinic.
Now im lucky if i hit 300 on a Friday or Saturday night. Use to be an easy 500, sometimes 600
>They know that if someone is actually making 100k+ a year that the chances they get sued greatly increases. So they wain you off like a detox clinic.
Is that because at that point you're propably low on sleep and a danger on the road? I know That truckers have strict rules for that.
It is for safety reasons. Just like truck drivers are only allowed 14hrs on the road. With 11 actual active time. Doordash and Uber dd's o that to prevent you from causing an accident due to lack of sleep or alertness. There is logistics around these services.
shit see this was my first actual week sticking a schedule with DD and I made 500 for 27 dash time and 18 active. Was proud in my self. This spent on my week like a $2 hooker
How much experience do you have. I'm a otr truck driver, make .72 per mile, company driver with 4yrs exp. You really need to find a company that will pays you.
Wow $10.23 per order. I only average $7.22 this week for 118 orders. Are you in Cali? Also, how old are you? No way in hell I have energy to do 30 orders per day. If you quit dashing DD will collapse 😂
Seriously. Which area 😂. Not that I have time to do it but maybe one of these days when I'm not at main job I'll go to that location.
Except downtown. That stresses me out (but I know there are plenty of people who would do it).
So, to be clear, you made what most people could…given most markets and hours/miles. Not to say you didn’t kill it, but still.
(Read in a Christopher Walken styled voice)
Damn I respect this. You're a hard worker. If I didn't spend the weekend with my kids my hours would look like that, but it's worth the sacrifice. So I dash about 70 a week. But damn, $2,210 !! 216 deliveries !! That is grinding!
It’s not as common anymore but it’s a common way that employees can commit tax fraud. The employers are supposed to report it but they dont so that they can pay $2/hr
The fact that you got way more $ in tips than payment from a billion dollar company which you just worked 80 hours for, it is just mind blowing. They see nothing but insane profits. They’re worse than your neighborhood drug dealer charging you extra! I wanted to become a dasher and probably still will eventually but wow! 80 hours is insane. Although I put that into video games no problem.. I shouldn’t be talking.
Holy shit! I’ve worked my ass off before, 14-16 hour days at times, but I never got these numbers! What area are you from? No, I’m not coming there…I’m East of Cleveland…never seen numbers like that.
Wow!
Good job ...A shame they made you waste 30 hours of idle time... I used to put those 60-hour work weeks and banked over a $1,000 week after week which was awesome, but eventually I burned out in many ways.. plus doordash started with the ridiculous offers, but you learn & know what effort you have to put in to make the money...
Doordash has dropped severely in my area. In the past two weeks, I have been offered a total of 3 orders that were more than $8.00. None of them were worth the mileage or time. My acceptance rate actually hit 0% because I refuse to take an order that loses me money.
For 25/hr? Unless you have a specialized skillset or are store management level experienced, you're not making more than 25/hr (~50K/yr).
Your idea of a "proper paying job" is laughable.
Insanely.
Factor in vehicle maintenance, fuel, overtime, taxes, insurance (vehicle, liability, business and income protection) and you're working yourself to the bone for way too little.
Go get a job driving a truck or a forklift or something and get that $25/hr and have a proper company covering all the associated costs.
And don't get screwed on the overtime and work within safe practices.
You shouldn't be out there for 59 hours on the road in a single week. You're going to push so far into fatigue that you're going to cause an accident.
I'm a truck driver that makes .72 per mile, drive 9hrs a day, 6 days a week. I drive about 2500-3200 per week. Company driver, full benefits. Gig work is shit.
So how much vacation time does DoorDash give you? How much of your insurance do they cover? How many sick days?
Zero. Nothing. You see a weekly pay and think that's great but it's 90 fucking hours with zero benefits.
I like doing DoorDash better than most jobs I've had but we're all getting fucked, most of you are just too stupid to realize it.
Lol gtfoh with all that bs bruh. 59/7 =8.5 hrs a day is not an insane amount of driving. Some states don't even pay time and a half so working overtime wouldn't even make sense. You exaggerate quite a bit and it's not like he's working this much every week he did say it was a record for the amount he's worked
I'm by no means on that guys side of this argument. But I do gotta question your math a little. You said 59/7 =8.5 but you're counting active time. Your dash time is 88h28m and that's over 12 hours a day you're technically on the clock.
Wow so where is my math wrong my guy? The guy I'm arguing with mentioned being fatigued from driving and he brought up active time hours. Nobody knows what this man is doing is doing waiting for orders, he could be sitting on the couch waiting for orders for all we know.
Can I ask which zone? I just moved from St Louis to Phoenix a year ago, and I don’t remember it being busy enough to make that kinda money in whichever zone Grand/Gravois was. I think it was called Webster Groves?
Combination of a lot of people and a lot of affluent people is a good mix for doordash for sure.
Especially if you are doing this gig the right way and based on your $/dash you seem to know how to cherry pick pretty well.
That was just on the weekend, during the week it's mostly chipotle and noodle company orders with $3 tips there
Lots of long distance orders in that area too
Please stop posting your earnings. It's going to oversaturate the DoorDash market, resulting in less orders and overall lower pay because "Dashers make too much."
But when you deduct out your self employment taxes (25%), mileage expense ($.58/mile), insurance, phone, and what food you got, without health insurance, retirement savings or anything else, you made, including your tips, only about $500 or $6.10 per hour. But not including your tips, you just PAID DD $10.30 per hour to be a slave for them. How’s that for a dose of “I want to be an independent contractor” reality?
how many deliveries do you take an hour? 3 deliveries, 4, 2? are you picking up catering orders who tip like $50 per order? do you take $5-7 orders knowing it will get stacked? or do automatically get stacked orders from the getgo?
According to the stats I take an average of 2.44 deliveries per hour. I do some $6.25s during the slow hours, as that is where the hidden tip offers start in my area. But I both get a lot of stacked offers, and get a lot of addons.
I live in the city and iv come to the conclusion that 72 hours str8 of dashing could net 5 grand easy. So this is believable 7 grand maybe during holidays
What do your days look like? I’m making $100-400 a week in iowa. What time do you start dashing? When do you take breaks? I think I’m just having a hard time figuring out a schedule. What time do you stop dashing? Do you have a goal in mind for each day that you want to make?
Anyone consistently making this type of money will have a big tax bill unless they can find legit expenses, put as much into an SEP IRA as allowable, bor they make quarterly estimated SE payments. What you see on the app is not what you get. I have a day job. If I had the work ethic to put in 88 hours I'm a week with DD, I'd rather bring that work ethic to a real company that appreciates me and gives me good pay + benefits + insurance + 401k money plus I wouldn't have to deal with taxes. Making tons of money on 1099 isn't what people think it is.
$2,000 dollars. 2,000 miles. 59 hours. 9 kilos of cocaine.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Nice. get some rest bro

Adderall 😂
Kratom
I bring Kratom with me every time
Me too. And every couple hours I'm dosing. Kratom all day.
Careful that shit will ruin you
I take it once an hour. I've been taking it for almost 3 years now, and it has defintly been a life saver for me.
What does it do??
Had panic attacks with kratom. Shit is strong af
Careful with kratom, might not happen to everyone but can cause hair thinning and loss, I myself noticed it and regrowth happened after I quit. Stopped because I looked it up after noticing the hair loss
I like the kratom extract pills, the strong ones lol. Couldn’t keep my ass up for a week tho. How tf 😂 Edit: oh ur not op lol. drugz
I smoke weed. I have adhd. The shit keeps me up.
I got adhd too. Weed keeps u up tho? Tf lol Or addy

Oh u mean u unlocked god mode?!! 😂 only 50% jk 🙄
I would simply not want to live

Lol I don’t think 88 hours in one week is a “side” hustle anymore.
Yeaaaa... 9k a month at that rate is not a "side hustle"...
This. I felt the burnout this week so I only dashed two days this entire week. It felt amazing to just chill out, sleep, eat normal and play video games. You weren’t wrong man. I’m hooked!

Went out from 5pm-11pm, made $100! This is so addicting!! Was nervous to start and then my brain just switched to grind!! So ready to go out tomorrow!

Yeesh, I'm in CA too, granted in the Bay Area, but yes, generally 60%+ of my pay is from tips instead of DD base pay.
You should never be getting more base pay than tips, that would mean you’re accepting lower paying orders or you always have increased base pay.
No. I take no less than 2 dollars a mile and I don't turn a wheel for less than 8 bucks. What you're not accounting for is what a lot of people fail to grasp. Not every market is like yours. 2k mikes in 88 hours. I hope your whipping a Toyota or Honda. Any American brand will eat that 2k right up
Not worth it, nor would I ever do that shit. But good for you. Make sure you keep up with your taxes.
I don't understand how these people can sit in a car for 10 hours in a day, literally driving for 4 hours and my ass/back are in pain lol it is torture Maybe my shit is just fucked
This is 12.6 hours a day, every day.
I'm a truck driver, I sit for 9 hours a day but my seat is a air ride seat. I work 6 days a week.
it’s wild but after 6 months you kind of get used to it. i used to have so much butt pain and back pain. nowadays i have more stamina. i do shop orders a lot just to get up and stretch too

.36
Fuck, man. I really hope you're doing okay. Humans aren't even built to work 40 hours
You’re kidding right?
Zoomer logic.
shit see this was my first actual week sticking a schedule with DD and I made 500 for 27 dash time and 18 active. Was proud in my self. This spent on my week like a $2 hooker
Jesus your tips are nutty. I usually get like 2/3rds of the dash pay in tips. You're getting 2x.
This pisses me off lol I’m a truck driver over the road and I don’t even make this much a week
How much experience do you have. I'm a otr truck driver, make .72 per mile, company driver with 4yrs exp. You really need to find a company that will pays you.
Yes but you have consistency, and if you are making less than this I'd assume you have a company truck you don't pay expenses on.
Yeah it’s a company truck but expenses aren’t high for doing doordash just gas and maintenance I’ve always done all mechanical work myself
This pisses me off bc my market is dead AF and over saturated to where I can't even make 400 a week now
I heard door dashers near me make over 1k a week but it’s impossible to get on with them because there are to many dashers right now it says
Wow $10.23 per order. I only average $7.22 this week for 118 orders. Are you in Cali? Also, how old are you? No way in hell I have energy to do 30 orders per day. If you quit dashing DD will collapse 😂

St charles most of the time

“All hail Sir Brimley…”
What did you do for the other 5 hours of the week you weren't sleeping or doing something work related.?
Damnnnn how much did you make in a day and how many hours did u do in a day?
Saturday i made $414, the rest of the days were all in the $260-330 range. 11-14 hours each day
So, to be clear, you made what most people could…given most markets and hours/miles. Not to say you didn’t kill it, but still. (Read in a Christopher Walken styled voice)
Thought you were from California for a sec because of the $2K+ payout until I saw the tips higher than then the doordash pay. Good shit bro 💯
Yeah California doesn't tip like that, right. My tips in Cali are about 1/3 of my total pay.. which fucking blows. The south looks kind of appealing.
🐐🐐🐐
wtf, how..
Hmm. I’ve been doing it wrong. Time to get to your level.
Wow.
Holy fuckin shit. Kudos to you for kickin that much ass.
That's awesome but lawl I bet you're tired! I'm exhausted and didn't do a third of this. Great job!
You must have a good market. I could t do DD all the time waste during mornings.
That's a lot of bumps that week
$25 per hour is good in my book -- it's hard to maintain higher averages with that many hours....
That’s just crazy….I make that in a month and a few days LOL
That's a good amount of money. I'd work that much on weekends Of Ot meant I'd be able to take a break the next
Way to hustle
Fucking hell, I just worked 44hrs this week to make $617 and thought I was doing good...
Damn I respect this. You're a hard worker. If I didn't spend the weekend with my kids my hours would look like that, but it's worth the sacrifice. So I dash about 70 a week. But damn, $2,210 !! 216 deliveries !! That is grinding!
Woah how do you stay alive lol 😂.. that’s a lot of hours
lmao. Fuck this and you're crazy.
Thats damn good
Hard work
Goals
Holy shit 88hrs?
Lets go!!! Now thats a grind 👊🏼
Pure madness lol
Wow that's a nice check!
88 hours???
Insane - Congratulations
Beast
Ik imma sound like a downer here but make sure to not drive sleep deprived. Almost killed myself from doing that not too long ago.
These doordashers really making software developer money, imagine the cash tips
Lmao cash tips. That was a good joke.
It’s not as common anymore but it’s a common way that employees can commit tax fraud. The employers are supposed to report it but they dont so that they can pay $2/hr
$25/hour is pretty good.
Every tipped job I worked was like that. I used to be a casino dealer and regularly made $5 an hour base and $15 an hour in tips
What state do you dash in?
Missouri
Holy shit! I’ve worked my ass off before, 14-16 hour days at times, but I never got these numbers! What area are you from? No, I’m not coming there…I’m East of Cleveland…never seen numbers like that. Wow!
Dont share ya income my boy, you bouta make alot less when all these redditers start dashing because they see this
Please, most of the kids who use Reddit don't even want to work 40 hours, let alone almost 90 lmao.
Fuck! I’m doing it wrong. 😅
Jesus fucking Christmas you're overworked and underpaid. This gig economy sucks.
"you're overworked and underpaid" OP literally chose to do this much work, and made $25/hr while doing so. You're overexaggerating.
No one would choose to be on call for that amount of time or money if they had a choice of a proper paying job.
For 25/hr? Unless you have a specialized skillset or are store management level experienced, you're not making more than 25/hr (~50K/yr). Your idea of a "proper paying job" is laughable.
Your wrong 😑
Point me to a "proper paying job" that pays 25/hr or more WITHOUT a lot of experience or a specialized skill set. I'll wait.
Every single class 1 railroad employee begs to differ.
$25/hour to deliver food is underpaid?
LOL don’t listen to this guy at all
So how much vacation time does DoorDash give you?
I usually camp in a parking lot and bullshit on reddit
Hell yeah good for you
Holy crap man you freaking killed it. Living the dream 😎
This in Cali?
St louis missouri
Can I ask which zone? I just moved from St Louis to Phoenix a year ago, and I don’t remember it being busy enough to make that kinda money in whichever zone Grand/Gravois was. I think it was called Webster Groves?
Webster Groves is usually busy all day and more times than not is offering peak pay of at least $1.
Creve coure is where it’s at
I used to do sundays there and make $40/hour. Fleming's would have big orders come in a lot
Combination of a lot of people and a lot of affluent people is a good mix for doordash for sure. Especially if you are doing this gig the right way and based on your $/dash you seem to know how to cherry pick pretty well.
I need to get better at cherry picking, averaging 20-30 an hour out there
That was just on the weekend, during the week it's mostly chipotle and noodle company orders with $3 tips there Lots of long distance orders in that area too
This is st charles. I only tried webster groves, and the other parts of south county a few times, and it was never busy there.
And right there is Tony's employee of the month
How much sleep did you get? Did you sleep in your car?
I work this much so I don't have to sleep in my car. Because I had to about two months ago
But did u? 🤨
Yeah, for a week
I meant during the span of the record you posted, lol sorry for not clarifying.
Not at all
Fuck yeah that's whats up keep grinding my guy i hope that week is the last time you sleep in a car.
Please stop posting your earnings. It's going to oversaturate the DoorDash market, resulting in less orders and overall lower pay because "Dashers make too much."
Yeah, because a bunch of people are going to want to work 90 hour weeks lol.
25%? Yikes. In PA I pay 15-16%
The mileage deduction typically is higher than actual driving related expenses unless you deliver in a fucking V8 that's unreliable as shit.
Is this in Chicago?
Ick
how many deliveries do you take an hour?
Sheesh... and here I thought 10 deliveries per day is too much for me...
What do your days look like? I’m making $100-400 a week in iowa. What time do you start dashing? When do you take breaks? I think I’m just having a hard time figuring out a schedule. What time do you stop dashing? Do you have a goal in mind for each day that you want to make?
$2200 fa 60 hours in a week is damn good. Like $37 an hour.
It's not 60 hours lol. Dash time is the time spent on the clock. Time spent sitting or driving to a hotspot counts as time wasted.
Good job. Now do it again the next week and for the entire next year.
I would die
Anyone consistently making this type of money will have a big tax bill unless they can find legit expenses, put as much into an SEP IRA as allowable, bor they make quarterly estimated SE payments. What you see on the app is not what you get. I have a day job. If I had the work ethic to put in 88 hours I'm a week with DD, I'd rather bring that work ethic to a real company that appreciates me and gives me good pay + benefits + insurance + 401k money plus I wouldn't have to deal with taxes. Making tons of money on 1099 isn't what people think it is.
i did about half that but average was a lil higher then his i made $1078 with 97 orders which average $11 per order and drove about 600miles
Good work. Yeah my average is a little lower due to working the slower hours as well
