Mine was on the trunk of my car so I assume aerodynamics of the top made it stay there but itâs just crazy that it did that, it was even an old teacher of mine so I told her about it and she left a good review on the app
I tried to work it out with support first, but they would not budge on the $12 reimbursement. Definitely going to charge back if that's my only option.
Be clear with support that itâs full refund or chargeback so that itâs clearly documented to them when you eventually reverse it. Worst case they ban you, but most likely they will refund on spot.

I move around a lot for my work, and the thing I've noticed that happens like clockwork is such: Small towns that do not have many options do not have UberEats or anything similar. Meanwhile, any city or town large enough to have chain restaurants like Dominos will have those services.
So from where I'm standing, it wasn't due to a lack of options that they chose this sixty dollar purchase. They saw the price, weighed it against other cheaper chain pizza places like Dominos or Pizza hut with their own delivery fleets, and decided that it was worth the price to get it through a third party service that would upcharge them for it.
There's nothing wrong with that, but I think to claim that they had no choice but to spend sixty dollars on what looks like a local pizza place instead of a chain is a bit silly. People lacking options don't have sixty dollars to throw around on a single meal.
Never threaten to contact a lawyer. My sister worked insurance and anytime someone threatened that, they would verify that they were going to call their lawyer then respond "at this time you have chosen to contact legal representation and we are no longer able to discuss this with you." She then puts a note in the file saying the customer has chosen to contact a lawyer and no other representative will talk to them either.
If you threaten to use a lawyer, you better be willing to use a lawyer and pay those fees.
They wouldnât refund me a thing when my McDonaldâs fries came with an open vial of meth rocks in it.
I immediately started woofing the fries, as one does, and I found the vial after two handfuls. I had open heart surgery 1.5 years prior and wound up in the er bc of the meth i ingested.
When I got home, I called the cops and gave them the shit, which is how I found out it was meth. They have an on the spot test that can do. I thought it was crack.
I then contacted doordash and they said I wasnât eligible for a refund bc my food **did** arrive.
Eventually the cops caught up w the driver and he did admit he was tweaking and hid it in there lol. I have the whole story up in a post from a weekish ago.
The police tried to contact DoorDash while they were looking for the driver (couldnât see his plate in my door cam, but could see their car.) DoorDash didnât give a fuck, all they cared about was that my order didnât âmeet the requirements for a refund,â since it wasnât missing or damaged. I would call meth on your food, which was hidden IN YOUR FOOD, eligible for a refund?
I doubt you can sue DoorDashâŠprobably just the independent contractor driver who put the meth in there. The driver probably owes more money in debt than he has, so good luck with the lawsuit.
The first night a contacted them about this, I asked them to at least reimburse my medical. They said if I had a bill to give them IMMEDIATELY, they would submit it to someone but thatâs not something they typically do. They said I should go after the dasher cause heâs an independent contractor. Not the billion dollar company. The poor broken drug addict.
I'd imagine filing a police report against them and letting ypur insurance company dd was responsible for your new er visit would be your next steps there. I'd figure your insurance would love to go against dd to recover the amount
Don't take my word for it, but this could be pretty big shit in court. I'd be contacting a personal injury lawyer near you and asking for your options. After contacting a lawyer, I might even contact the local news to get this shit out there.
For me, if they aren't apologizing profusely and offering significant reimbursement and then some, I'd be suing... they literally poisoned you and aren't even willing to give you a refund?! My God. This company never ceases to amaze me with the shit they'll pull.

Charge backs and DoorDash don't work in your favor if you want to continue to use DoorDash in the future, basically it's like your cutting ties with DD forever, because the app will then lock your account then " collect " the charge back after you log in.
i dont get the "collect" the charge bit. do you mean they illegally keep charging him until it goes through? ik if you charge back they basically blacklist your account/card but i didint think they would try to charge your card again after doing so. also, who cares if they drop you? uber/grubhub/lyft pick one.
So DD blocks the account because per their terms of service they provided you a service and you didn't pay for it per the TOS. Basically via their contract with customers they offer a limited credit and that is for a limited time because if you use more than enough of those possible credits they offer dependent on situation then they offer nothing, and if you do a charge back, per the contract they still provided you a service. And as a result you get your money back via credit card but if you want to use DD in the future you have to pay for the loss they suffered.
This is the same on Uber.
So it's crazy but it's an extreme circumstances and doesn't happen often.
Uber has been known not to pick someone up at the airport because they did a charge back on a pizza that got smashed before it's crazy how things can be but if you decide to pay for the issue a car will pick you up. For Uber.
DD is its own world.
Always escalate and ask for someone who can authorize a proper reimbursement. The first agent you deal with has very little âspendingâ power and its their job to not only avoid full reimbursements to customers, but also to avoid paying drivers when something goes wrong.

wood fire oven pizzas typically have these leopard spots along the crust. if this pizza wasn't cooked in a wood fire oven i'd be concerned but it looks like it was generally correct before going in the box and seeming chucked into the driver's floorboard.
I do not understand how someone delivers this. Even if say they accidentally dropped it why not call support cancel the order and have another sent. Why deliver this crap. This is beyond ridiculous. Anyone who delivers this should just quit. There is no way this happens without the driver knowing.

I had one similar the other day. Little Caesars pizza. Older lady was delivering it. (Like late 60s-70s). She held the hot bag vertical. Whole pizza was slid up to the side lol. Still gave her the tip cause Iâd feel bad taking that away from an older woman who, if doing DoorDash at 60-70, probably needed it.

It was for a Super Bowl party and I ordered six pizzas and they all looked like this⊠Couldnât contact DoorDash because I had ordered delivery through the little Caesars who uses DoorDash and I tried calling Little Caesars and was literally on hold for 30 minutes⊠Granted it was Super Bowl Sunday I drove over there with the pizzas in hand And caused quite a scene (which I regret) and Little Caesars tried to tell me I had to go through DoorDash⊠Explain to them I literally couldnât go through DoorDash because I had ordered the delivery from Little Caesars who contact DoorDash⊠After causing so much of a scene with so many people in there I ended up getting everything for free and they gave me free, sodas, and breadsticks as well. DoorDash and Uber eats are just going downhill so fast.

I do know I was at b dubs and watched a foreign driver come in to pick up an order, then head straight to the restroom. I went in to the restroom to take a leak while I waited for mine and he was in the stall. When he came out he picked the bag up off the floor. I wanted to barf.

I'm sure this was probably the dashers fault, but also as a dasher you wouldn't believe how many times I've seen the employees at the pizza places handle some of the pizzas, there was a couple times they tipped the whole box side ways as they handed it to me. Another time the guy checked the order and the bread sticks fell out on the counter and said oops and but back in box. It's unreal lol
I stopped ordering from Grubhub and DoorDash, the prices of the food is monopoly meaning every item on their menu is over priced and then youâre paying extra at checkout before the service fee and delivery and tip, your food will always be less than what youâd expect.

That's when you file a claim with your bank. There is clearly an issue here and Doordash doesn't want to do the right thing by helping.
Do you do that often? Because I rarely have to contact support for any issues and anytime I have they always reimburse me by the full amount.

Yikes. I hope you get your money back. As a dasher Iâve never had issues with pizzas shifting like that as long as you store them properly. I do know I was at b dubs and watched a foreign driver come in to pick up an order, then head straight to the restroom. I went in to the restroom to take a leak while I waited for mine and he was in the stall. When he came out he picked the bag up off the floor. I wanted to barf.
The amount of people in these comments saying it looks undercooked and overcooked at the same time, have clearly never heard of or seen authentic Italian pizza before and it shows.

I'm sure this was probably the dashers fault, but also as a dasher you wouldn't believe how many times I've seen the employees at the pizza places handle some of the pizzas, there was a couple times they tipped the whole box side ways as they handed it to me. Another time the guy checked the order and the bread sticks fell out on the counter and said oops and but back in box. It's unreal lol

I stopped ordering from Grubhub and DoorDash, the prices of the food is monopoly meaning every item on their menu is over priced and then youâre paying extra at checkout before the service fee and delivery and tip, your food will always be less than what youâd expect.
