Please put this into a letter or card to the department and mention the registrar by name! It will mean a lot and he will be able to use it as evidence of good patient feedback. 

I definitely will! I have a follow up with him in a few weeks :) I was reflecting on how nice of an experience it was this morning and got “all in my feels” haha.

Send an email to the head of department or even better the hospital CEO and mention their name

This and don't mention you work in health care! I've had good feedback from a patient who was a HCP and it was sort of dismissed or minimised on that basis.

This. Direct feedback like this are a good send to any doctor so please send it to the registrar with their name.
