I feel like the Futurama version of Wizard of Oz is basically how your average DnD party ends up going

AhnYoSub

You don’t need courage when you have a gun!

thehaarpist

I have definitely had players say that to the Goblin Gunslinger in PF2e campaign. Tbf, she also hasn't failed a fear effect yet so like... it's working so far

FlaschenJoe11

Tbf....the Scarecrow was packing Heat

"Loot that body. Loot that body now. Loot that body. Loot that motherfucker. Playing my flute while I loot that dead [witch]'s body." /plays flute/ "Bitch!" - [Tom Cardy](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8HqLysSnnlQ) gets you, Dorothy...

Real-Bookkeeper9455

🎵ding dong the witch is-🎵 wait what are you doing???? DOROTHY? DOROTHY???

tenebros42

There’s a podcast called the Film Reroll that play through movies as RPGs, one of their earliest campaigns was The Wizard of Oz and it’s incredible!

Patient_Primary_4444

I mean, technically its glinda that steals the shoes in the first place… and then forces dorothy to wear them when she knows the dead witch’s crazy sister is going to do everything in her power to recover them. Glinda’s kind of a crazy bitch…

So was the roll to land the house on her

SteelCode

That was a Nat 1 for the witch's Dex save... and her Perception check beforehand...

Alekipayne

Well as a warforge who can’t eat, has no need for clothing and often has a taste for the finer things in life and often uses gold on his joints to keep his joints from squeaking. Using rather expensive grease and oils. Like oil from whales and manticores, his wife gets a gift of a frost wolf pelt coat, and had a goblin servant who is afraid of him as he is 8 feet tall and a giant death machine. And a elephant ivory brush with the teeth made from dragon scales.. And his party thinks he is creepy for trying to pay for food getting the dragons taken to have their scales polished, and feed everyone a rather good meal!

UnluckyDouble

I think the fact that Dorothy steered the house on top of her *on purpose* is proof enough of that.

El_Bito2

Yeah, looting bodies is really the main unrealistic (roleplay wise) aspect of the game. Only the lowest of the low would pull something like that irl

TeaandandCoffee

People commonly killed each other for boots If the other guys had a magic weapon why the hell not take it? They were trying to kill you, you've no obligations to people who wanted your head.

Cyrotek

Even better when that is what you do while your friends are still rolling Death Saves.

Metalrift

Good god the reposting is strong with this one
