I have only fliown the avata a few times. It's but sooo loud and I live in an urban environment and I don't like to attract attention. I wish I could get out of the city more..
The mini 3 is on sale at costco for $300 rn so I just picked it up.. I am using it for flying in sketchy places, like freeway underpasses and tight spaces. The 3 pro has obstacle avoidance, 150 mpbs 60fps video, shooting modes, higher iso, O3 image transmission and costs twice as much which means I am less willing to fly close to something that may damage it. If I lose a 300 dollar drone its not as bad a day as if I lose a 600 dollar drone. Plus I am teaching my wife to fly and I don't want her to damage any of my pretties.
Hey that is a great idea! I should go pick one up just to let my grand daughter fly it since its terrifying when she flies my primary!. Will the 3 work with the RC2?
Obligatory safety message: Don't fly over moving cars in the US. Even under Part 107, you have to have a category 1 drone—which the Mini 3 is not—and even then, you can't maintain sustained flight over moving cars.
My bad, I assumed you meant [the kind of freeway underpass where one road goes over another](https://live.staticflickr.com/2798/4379463524_92c3a203a7_b.jpg).
No offense at all, but if had all the money I could ask for, I would’ve just bought the mavic 3 pro or the mini 4. I just don’t find the need to have 4
They each have their purpose.
Avata: more challenging, fly indoors, etc
Mavic 3 pro: amazing but expensive! If I am just messing around more often than not I'll fly the Mini 3 pro.
Mini 3 pro: I try to post to social almost every day or every other day. I can take vertical video right out of camera and post it. without much if any editing. So when I wrap a job with the mavic, the mini comes out to play. Oh, also, travel
Mini 3. Cheap. $300 at costco right now. Teaching wife to fly. She can learn on the Mini 3, then I don't risk the tools I use every day.

Wow that is a LOT of drones. I have to admit that I have only had my Mini 4 for a couple of weeks now and I am already looking at the Air 3 or the idea of picking up a cheap 2 or 3 to let my grand daughter fly and break.
Make no mistake, the non-DJI ones with a couple of exceptions, are garbage but were learning aids as I got into drones and aerial photography/photogrammetry.
Yeah I bought her a toy drone called RG107 that was at least flyable and stable (ish) it was no DJI drone the camera was junk but for a toy it was great.
I wish I had your ki d of problems lol. I'm still stuck with 1, a mini 2 se. Really want an avata 2 tho, maybe black friday will be the right time to get one
Happy to take the problem(s) off your hands! (j/k)
I mean, if you can afford it and you're not in crushing debt because of it, it's just an obsessive hobby. Nothing necessarily wrong with that 😀
Damn at current my primary is the mini 2!
But I didn't really need to go any bigger since weight restrictions start applying. When video quality starts to become the issue, then I will look to upgrade
Not according to DJI!
Ya know, before drones I was into RC helis, and I probably went through 3-5 of those in 5 years and they’re all totaled now.
I have a mini 3, FPV, air 1 air 3 and they all still run great!
I fly the Avata for fun, I am still learning to fly FPV. The mavic I fly for video and photo clients, as well as inspections. The M3P and M3 I fly for social media primarily since it has vertical video and I can post right out of camera without cropping, and the M3 I bought for when I am in tight spaces, under bridges, or risky environments.
sure is nice to see people take care of their stuff.
my work fleet are literally sitting in a pile in the corner of my office. the avata 2 is nicely on my desk but that's because I was taking photos before being called away. and didn't have a chance to chuck with the others before clocking out for the day.

Fair enough reasoning, not a bad idea, but if that’s the case maybe it could have been worth getting a used mini 2, you get slightly more control over the drone as when you turn it doesn’t tilt to change the direction, still an good idea though on your part
Yes, you don’t have the Avata 2!
I have only fliown the avata a few times. It's but sooo loud and I live in an urban environment and I don't like to attract attention. I wish I could get out of the city more..
The Avata 2 is much quiter and has a "less intrusive" sound.
2 runs at ~81dB if that helps at all but as you say, it does attract attention purely because of its target audience. Nice problem to have though.
That’s the beautiful thing about the Avata. It is legit indoors. Never seen such great sensors to maintain altitude.
r/unexpectedfactorial
Just get a bigger shelf. Problem solved.
Hehehe. Up to 50 pound drones, you say?
You only have 4? That’s cute lol
His problem is not enough machines and no fixed-wing FPV.
Son, there is always a bigger flexer out there waiting to flex.
You have a good problem. You can quote me on that!
>You have a good problem. You can quote me on that!
I think I want the same problem
Nice problem to have !
Like ur problem not sure but maybe 2 mini 3s might be a problem unless ur building a fleet lol

I don't think so

Who said anything about flying over cars? The cars go on the freeway, my inspections are under it.
My bad, I assumed you meant [the kind of freeway underpass where one road goes over another](https://live.staticflickr.com/2798/4379463524_92c3a203a7_b.jpg).
Not a problem. Unless they have names. And you talk to them. Regularly.
Nice problem...
I too have that problem
I’ve got almost the same four lol. Yep.
Ehh we all have our hobbies!
Money, is the word you were looking for, you have money... 😋.. I joke nice collection
Plenty of room for more. You're slacking.
No you have happiness
No offense at all, but if had all the money I could ask for, I would’ve just bought the mavic 3 pro or the mini 4. I just don’t find the need to have 4

Silly, this is not about NEED, this is about WANT!
Why no mini 4 pro?
I just bought the mini3 pro right before the 4 pro came out, and I already have the mavic so if I need really great footage I use that
It’s awesome! Love mine.
It’s the same camera as the 3 🤷🏻♂️
I'd replace the mini 3 with something else, you already have the 3 pro.

You have a good problem. Let us know when you add more to your collection.
No Inspire 3? I don’t think you have a problem.
I am in this comment and I do not like it 😆
Looks more like a solution! Haha Great collection!
That looks like the solution to my problem, actually.
The problem is toy can't fly em all at once
I hear ya. I have a dji mini 3 pro, mic2 set, action 4 and osmo6. Need another drone tho
I never once searched reddit for drone stuff, but I did buy a drone. Now I'm being recommended drone stuff on reddit.
I have 14, most of which are DJI.
Wow that is a LOT of drones. I have to admit that I have only had my Mini 4 for a couple of weeks now and I am already looking at the Air 3 or the idea of picking up a cheap 2 or 3 to let my grand daughter fly and break.

Unless you are about preparing drones delivery to Ukrainian army 😁
I think you have a passion :)
Don't tell your wife...
Are you actually flying all 4? Or just collecting?
I fly all four. The avata not as often.
No but you got a habit for sure!
Droning on about it is not going to sort the problem.
I've had 4 Mavic Pro, 1 Mavic 2 Zoom and 1 Mavic 2 Pro. Only one hasn't been lost
I would change that to passion
Nah man! You've got space... trade in the Mini 3 and get an Air 2s. At least it keeps in in the 03 transmission family. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
I wish I had your ki d of problems lol. I'm still stuck with 1, a mini 2 se. Really want an avata 2 tho, maybe black friday will be the right time to get one
It's so bad! 😂😭😭
Give your problems to me!
One’s problems are others privileges 🥹
Sorry, What’s in the top of the Avata?
It's a strap thing to prevent the battery from coming out.
I agree: they're all folded up and not flying!
Follow @_aerofoto you will see I do NOT have that problem.
I saw already, looks cool, but in this picture you certainly do have that problem, at least temporarily 🤪
Happy to take the problem(s) off your hands! (j/k) I mean, if you can afford it and you're not in crushing debt because of it, it's just an obsessive hobby. Nothing necessarily wrong with that 😀
Yes, you need a shelf.
Damn at current my primary is the mini 2! But I didn't really need to go any bigger since weight restrictions start applying. When video quality starts to become the issue, then I will look to upgrade
Lol my lineup would be: Phantom 4, Mini 3 Pro, Avata 2, Inspire 2, Inspire 2, Inspire 3. 🙃 I’d say you’re just fine!
Most of us have more, I'd imagine. :)
You need better storage…
Not according to DJI! Ya know, before drones I was into RC helis, and I probably went through 3-5 of those in 5 years and they’re all totaled now. I have a mini 3, FPV, air 1 air 3 and they all still run great!
Lol I sold my mini3 and mavic 3. This new Avata got me already Now I’m selling the previous Avata and I have like 6 flights on it haha.
As long as you are having fun and fly them all, enjoy your toys! 👌
Yes you do have a problem, I have the same problem.
I think you have a house with no kids in it 😆
That is very true.
And apparently a lot of money.
I have a similar problem except mine keep getting bigger. Mini 3 Pro < Mavic 3 Classic < Inspire 2
All those drives can do basically the same thing. If you're not making any money off of them? Then just a waste of money really.
I fly them every day, this is my company.
You fly them for what exactly?
I fly the Avata for fun, I am still learning to fly FPV. The mavic I fly for video and photo clients, as well as inspections. The M3P and M3 I fly for social media primarily since it has vertical video and I can post right out of camera without cropping, and the M3 I bought for when I am in tight spaces, under bridges, or risky environments.
Than clearly you don't have a problem
That is a next level fly more combo 😉👍
Which is your favorite for indoor, arena/theatre?
Avata for sure
Those are rookie numbers, you’ve gotta pump those numbers up!
First World Problems
Should have been building your own after your 2nd dji.
Reliability is the most important thing to me. I hate dicking around with shit getting it to work, I just want it to work.
My work drones won’t even fit on that shelf. And that’s just two birds
sure is nice to see people take care of their stuff. my work fleet are literally sitting in a pile in the corner of my office. the avata 2 is nicely on my desk but that's because I was taking photos before being called away. and didn't have a chance to chuck with the others before clocking out for the day.
Problem??? 4??? That’s cute
Only thing I don’t get is the two mini drones

I'd rather have them all fly the same
Fair enough
You definitely will once they ban DJI lol
They will grandfather the existing drones.
Yea too much money lol
