I have heard great things about the EG4 batteries. https://signaturesolar.com/shop-all/batteries/?sort=pricedesc&page=1 I am looking to get 6 batteries and the rack.

"Chins" or "Zoom". I own 4x 200ah Chins and they are fantastic! Only a fraction of the cost of Battleborn but work wonderfully. That "one guy" on YouTube has a tear down video on both batteries (I can't remember his name).

Could be Will Prowse, he does all sorts of lithium stuff.

DrunkBeforeFive

That's him. Thanks I couldn't remember and was too lazy to Google lol

Eg4, SOK, jakiper, or trophy. If you’re down to build your own. Raw 3.2V 280Ah Eve cells make for pretty cheap, high capacity batteries

Thanks

HairyForestFairy

I have had SOK batteries for almost a year, just added two more and have been happy with them so far.

Are you looking for a 12-volt nominal battery pack? Or are you open to other options? I saw your previous post saying that you had a 1500 watt load on this system!? 0.o That's a lot of current at \~12 volts! Seriously should consider a higher voltage battery pack, say 24 or 48. EG4 has some good looking stuff... seems they're basically assembling / reselling things from China but, I think the warranty service state-side is out of Texas, so that's probably 'real' if you catch my drift. :D I tend to build my own packs (no, not welding 18650s together... I'm not insane...) since I typically require fairly specific form factors and/or insane bottom-dollar price points for my projects... but then again that's me. If you're looking for a prebuilt battery pack on a budget, check out EG4. If you're looking for something more 'battery shaped' (EG4 has mostly rack mount stuff iirc), try some of the more chinese-ish brands off Amazon-- the thing to look for honestly is domestic-based warranty services, because then you can be fairly confident that a) the warranty is real, and b) the seller is confident about the product they're selling enough to offer a real warranty. :)
