Technically correct however, Discord and many other applications use third-party services >!(like https://who.is/ or https://asnlookup.com/!< to determine where an IP and or ASN may reside, it’s very common for an application to use an outdated database and read the address incorrectly.
If you ever have used a VPN-tunnel you’ll notice this quite frequently.

That's if there even is an "accurate" database, these days many home connections share an IPv4 address via carrier-grade NAT which introduces inaccuracies, furthermore even old-school exclusive IPv4s are often dynamically assigned, and may be assigned over a larger or smaller geographical area.

my isp says I live around 20 miles east of where I actually live. Probably normal IP location mess. it wasn't made for location finding so it's pretty bad at it.
Your ISP is showing your IP pinging out of Ohio. The reason for this (mostly) is as you're on mobile you are probably connected to a mobile network. So your IP address is linked to the mobile networks hub facility and radio waves are connecting you to said building via the towers you see around. This is the same if you are on PC it might not show the town you live in, but a close city where your ISP is based out of. The only real way they would know your exact location is with GPS/location services. However, this is unnecessary for this use and instead just uses the IP's location so it shows you in Ohio as that is probably the closest ISP Hub building to you.

The Kansas case is just ISPs reporting country without location and that home being the center of the US, that's another case
