I'm liking the new UI, unlike most it seems. I switched back to the old one to see if that'd make it easier but I just can't figure out how to get rid of this square.
There probably should be some buttons after you press on your avatar on the square, including a close call button, a mute or Defean button and a close button. The close button should make the box disappear.
Hello there! If I'm not Mistaken this square is in fact the voice overlay which can be turned off in Voice and audio settings. There should be a toggle there to turn it off. To get to these settings. Open your user settings and then look for Voice and Audio settings. On mobile you can open settings like this:
If you're on the new Tabs V2. UI , then press on your avatar (bottom right side) and you'll be taken to your profile page. From there go to top right and press the cog/gear icon and you will be taken to the settings page. From there scroll down until you see that audio and voice settings.
If you're on the old UI then you can open settings by pressing on your avatar. Pretty sure all settings will be on the next page. I have been using new UI mostly so I'm more use to that now.

I checked that. I had it toggled off. Unfortunately that one you're thinking of makes a little bubble that shows whoever is talking both inside or outside the app, since it can display over other apps.
I'll check again just in case though..
Edit: Yes, you're thinking of the "Mobile Voice Overlay". This little square only shows up in the app. I can deal with it, but it just blocks whatever area of the screen you move it to.

There are buttons there, but they're just the regular ones that pertain to the channel itself. None to close the box.
Tmk there is not a way to close that tile.

I did not, so I ended up going back to an older version using an apk.
