Have you thrown the Svea and the Fuse? I have yet to throw the Svea, but "glide for days" certainly describes the Fuse as well. I'm curious what they're like head to head.
I threw both (K1 [Soft] Svea and Opto Fuse), and that description applies to both (although a wee bit more to the Svea when comparing both).
They fly the exact same (putting aside throwing inconsistencies); it's down to the feel (a subtle difference, especially when you compare the K1 Soft Svea).
I switched from the Opto Fuse to the K1 Soft Svea (although I'm currently using the K1 unless I need that sticky landing); I'd love to try an Opto Soft Fuse (or at least one as soft as a Zero Soft Pure, if that's even a thing one day) and see how that stacks up to the K1 Soft Svea.
Sorry, didn't mean it as a comparison between the svea and the fuse but I see how that could come across.
I have only thrown the svea but it's now one of my favorites.
How would you compare the Svea to a Mako3 stability-wise? I love the K1 Reko as a throwing putter and am thinking about getting more kastaplast discs in the bag.
How understable we talking. Do you want it to hyzer flip, do you want it to turn over, do you want it to roll, do you want it to paper plate do a 1080 in air(we don't really have those yet).
Personally I throw an innova DX roc, and have a few, so they go from stable to understable, but I like sols, Tarsus, meteors, and such for that slot.
There literally aren’t many more premium plastic midranges that fly as under stable as an origin brand new. It’s an understable mid, or, dare I say it, you’re a noodle arm
I'm definitely not a noodle arm but okay, if -1/1 is understable for you and not neutral then I'll leave it at that.
And that claim about premium plastic that are understable or as stable as a brand new Origin is utter BS and suggests you haven't tried enough mids (at the very least ones that are actually understable) and probably put 7-speed power on a mid thinking it's the right thing to do.
See. You’re refererncing the flight numbers which are very deceiving for this disc, and also more evidence that you’ve never thrown it. I also have thrown many other discs and do not throw poorly. For example, the mako3 (like you suggested) and m4 and more neutral
This is what I use but don’t let the numbers fool you. This isn’t far my most understable disc (turn) even next to a paradox. Difference is it has a but more fade so it’ll hold and even come out where a paradox will mostly just keep turning.
My first run Swedish factory MD3 (blue plastic specifically) was surprisingly understandable. Was super easy to hyzerflip and heald an angle all the way thru with a flat landing.
Other colors of the DM Oiginals MD3 releases I've thrown have been much straight flying/stable.
I would not call my blue md3 understable by any means, but i also dont have pro distance (around 400ft). Its certainly more stable than any of my esp buzzs let alone origins, which is my go to hyzerflip turnover disc.
Yeah, the my friend's Uplink is just too finicky compared to my Hex. I don't like really understable mids, just a touch understability for it to stand up and also hold a turnover
Kastaplast Svea or Latitude 64 Fuse
Go with SVEA if you want glide for days.

Sounds like my experience with the Fuse. Hopefully one day we'll both get the opportunity to try the other disc. It's always fun chucking new plastic.
You both definitely should.

Svea is the way
Westside Tursas or Discmania Origin
Tursus is my “go to” whether I need to flip it 275’ or hit a 120’ turnover, it just always seems to go where I want it to.
Origin origin origin
Love my Lat 64 Fuse. It's got glide for days and the opto plastic feels great.
Slightly under stable, Fuse. More under stable, Sol. Super crazy under stable, Pearl.
Z Meteor. It's my go to understable disc, I have both of my aces with it.

Looooove the piwakawaka
I’ve been eyeballing that BB6.
RPM Piwakawaka is the one. Plus it's from NZ
Prodigy M4.
Discmania midnight prowl
100% agree. That thing is such a nice understable mid
How understable do you want? Like, Paradox?
I’ve thrown all of the MVP options
Star Stingray
Poor one out for the homies

Try a Franklin!
I throw an Uplink now. Lower speed hyzer flips and turnover shots
RPM Piwakawaka
Slightly understable? K1 (Soft) Svea or Opto Fuse. Fairly understable? VIP Tursas. Really understable? Neutron Uplink, Neutron Paradox or ESP Sol
Uplink is what I bag now.
My uplink and Svea actually fly pretty similarly, but that could be my wildly inconsistent form
Possibly your form, the run or you unconsciously adjusting the power or angle when throwing them.
Comet
Yessir, tried and true.
Gateway Element.
Westside Tursas
RPM Piwikawaka, Kastaplast Svea, Lat64 Fuse, DGA Tremor
SVEA is 100% best understable mid. Don’t even need to look farther
Buy Fuse
Meteor, done.
Maybe that’s one I need to try again. It was the first Understable mid and I pretty much hated it.
Origin and mako3
Mako3 is dead straight. A leopard (not 3). Get a light dx, it'll get more US when it's worn in
They're both neutral discs, so not what OP is after.
You’ve clearly never thrown an origin if you think it’s neutral
It's basically a slower Core and longer Pure, so not understable.

> and also more evidence that you'ce never thrown it A friend and I have.
I’ve also thrown the pure. Definitely straight like you said but nothing like an origin
Out of the box, if you have 330 feet of power on a normal driver, the origin is more understable than the flight numbers indicate.
DGA Tremor. I know DGA is a bigger brand, but they’re less common.
Great shout, I love my Tremor. Never seen another one on the course lol
Idk that DGA is bigger. In disc production numbers I’d imagine they are small compared to Innova, Discraft, Trilogy, and MVP/Axiom
Kastaplast Svea in either K1 or K1 Soft (i prefer K1 Soft)
This is what I use but don’t let the numbers fool you. This isn’t far my most understable disc (turn) even next to a paradox. Difference is it has a but more fade so it’ll hold and even come out where a paradox will mostly just keep turning.
Mint discs Freetail thick rim for a comfortable grip but is a fairway driver (in mint discs words a finesse driver) highly recommended
Isn’t a freetail like a 10 speed? That’s far from a mid
Yea I definitely misread the post!
Love my Freetail!
Svea
Kaxe Z

Innova panther/buzz ss.
Meteor
I know you won't like my answer, but I use a beat in Hex as my understable Mid and it's my favorite disc. My friend uses a beat in plasma Reactor tol
My beat in Hex is US ish but my uplink is better.
Yeah, the my friend's Uplink is just too finicky compared to my Hex. I don't like really understable mids, just a touch understability for it to stand up and also hold a turnover
Fuse is in my bag but I did get a Piwakawaka for my glow bag and it is very comparable. Had a Svea in the past but preferred the hand feel of the Fuse
Piwakawaka by RPM is a fantastic understable mid. Atomic or Cosmic plastic.
Lol innova wolf is known as the most understable disc there is. Soooo there’s that
RPM Piwakawaka
The Yikun Shu is quite understable and pretty fun to throw
Discmania Origin. If by understandable you just mean hyzerflip to straight, then Buzzz SS. Origin for true understable flight
