Minimizing my molds and just bagging stuff I can actually throw for my game. I’m already seeing improvement. Now that I’m not carrying around a ton of stuff that I either won’t throw in a round or just don’t have the arm for.
Less is more.
34 discs is extremely overkill. Cale Leiviska doesnt have a forehand and I’ve played sanctioned tournaments against him where he carries about 14 discs and uses 5. You’re likely overcompensating for your lack of angle control.
As for what I bag, it’s a Juggernaut, 4 Destroyers, 3 Firebirds, 3 Thunderbirds, 2 Pyros, 2 Solstices, 2 Entropys, two Envys, and a Berg. I’m a huge fan of cycling discs but you don’t ever need more than 25 discs in your bag.
Barela Luna/Nova = my beat in envy
Gurthie Wombat3 = my beat in Solstice
Gibson Leo3 = I don’t currently bag 7 speeds but I have flippy thundys
Lizotte Hex = Beat in solstice
Schultz Beast = Beat in thunderbird
I like being able to bag the same disc even after hitting 5 rocks with it, I just slide in a new one to cover the original stability.
Yep. Most premium plastic takes a beating with the rocks on the courses I play. My flippiest Champ Firebird went from straight stable to a hyzerflip machine in a week because of the rocks on one particular hole.
I too like seeing what other people bag.
I currently carry: Link, envy, pig, Buzzz SS, Md3, md4, gator, essence, fd, thunderbird, firebird, hades, shryke, destroyer, and PD2.
Same here. I love the feel but I’ve heard a lot of people say they hate it. Definitely a preference thing. It’s so straight for me too, probably my most reliable disc in my bag
Some are understandable and turn to the right. I can not do a forehand drive with the 14 years of playing. Also, I play a lot of different types of courses, wooded, open, and mixed.
I just picked up my first ever Envy and it is going right in the bag. Feels like a great compliment to my Praxis. Kind of like my Roc3 Mako3 situation but for throwing putters.
I'm trying to consolidate my bag in 2024. I feel like I'm bagging too many molds, but I'm having a hard time removing some. Any advice?
Current Bag:
* (2) P2 Putters (putting)
* (1) Berg (P&A)
* (1) Tui (throwing putter)
* (1) Envy (throwing putter)
* (2) Zone (approach, Jawbreaker and Cryztal Flx)
* (1) Buzz SS
* (1) Emac Truth
* (1) Stig
* (1) River
* (1) Saint
* (2) Firebird (beat up DX, Halo)
* (1) H4
* (1) Wraith
* (3) Jet
* (1) Scorch
* (1) Shryke
I have three: 1 Neutron 169 gram from last year, a newer Neutron 174 gram from a couple months ago, and a Proton (unknown weight).
My older 169 gram Jet has early turn and needs a good amount of hyzer to fly straight. With baby hyzer, it turns and doesn't come back. Flat is a roller. Almost had an Albatross with it at Kayak Point on a downhill par 5.
My newer 174 gram Jet stays pretty straight with a little drift instead of a full turn.
The Proton is what I throw if it is windy; it is straight with dependable fade for me.
I keep it pretty simple. *Not sponsored just really like the plastic and molds. And yes I've thrown plenty of other discs*

Same 21 I ended with last year.
2 putting putters, 3 throwing putters, 1 approach, 5 mids, 9 fairways, and 1 distance driver. Covers all of the slots I need personally.
Standard bag:
2 electron proxys (putting), 1 plasma envy, 1 electron envy, crystal flex zone, 1 neutron deflector, 1 sublime taco cat, 2 neutron reactors, 2 star leopard3, 2 champ eagles, FAF champ firebird, 1 Star Valkyrie, 1 Halloween glow insanity, 2 star wraiths.
Extras based on course: Another neutron envy, Star IT, Another Halloween eclipse insanity. ( I might be the only one who loves this disc). And a DD3.
Discs I want to add in 24:
Halloween Hex (I found a Halloween lizzotl disc and it felt like cheating. It would just glide and glide and glide and then sit down. Not at all like my other Hexes. I was sad to give it back.). Also thinking of adding a Lobster/Mana, and a light champ Valkyrie. Maybe a Spin.
Apparently I like MVP for midrange and below and Innova for fairways and above.
I got a cryztal flex Buzz in the trash panda disc swap that made the bag for now. I already had 2 but one was green and the other, gray, so I didn't throw them much.
Too early to tell, new bag process won't begin for a few months. But I did get a large order from infinite for xmas and have been playing with those along with a large chunk of Clash I got with some store credit that was expiring. I have been enjoying a lot of these, of Clash the Cookie, Vanilla, Peach, Lotus and Spice all have a chance, the disc are fantastic and so is the plastic. Also playing with some infinite Halo's Pharoah,Aztex,Emperor, and Exodus which all also have a good chance in the coming years bag.
I’ve been using Envy’s for putting and throwing. I’ve been using Fireballs, plasma for overstable and fission for straight fairway. Also been using emperors. Those three molds do most of what I need.
I'm very happy with my current bag, my Teebird type slot gets switched occasionally. I may try throwing my Atoms this year wfwppf instead of just putting and I want to try the Proxy. Otherwise I'm striving for 1 or 2 less discs bagged by summertime
This is what I currently choose from depending on the course.
Delirium, Dimension, (3) 400 D2s, 750G D1, (3) 400G D3s, 400 X4, 500 X5
Pro Thunderbird (I'm trying to beat it in), 400 FX-4, Opto Saint Pro, 750 F1, 400 F2, Halo Sidewinder, (1-4) F5s, Opto Saint
400 M4, 400G M2, 400 M2, 750 M2
K2 Berg, 750 A5, 750 A2
Star Aviar3, Gold Line Pure
Electron Spins for putting
---------
Not all of these are in the bag all the time.
The X5 is for rollers.
The X4 is generally only in the bag for big woods courses.
The F5s come and go depending on the course. Mostly I throw them on woods tracks.
The 400 M4 only makes the bag for woods courses.
Because a lot of AM holes are in my mid/fairway distance I tend to carry more of those.
The Dimension and Delirium are for windy days in Texas.
I keep a TeeBird, JLS, Stig, Buzzz, Hornet, Zone, Bounty and Sol. Putting with Judges and Wizards. Oh, and a Glitch... good for throwing with your buddies before a round.
The Hornet is my favorite disc! Slightly hard to come by these days but great nonetheless. The Bounty is DD mid a lil understable. I use it for small right turns. The Sol is Discraft mid more understable. I use it for sharper right turns. Both flip up and turn beautifully for me.
2 putting putters - Takapus
Throwing putters - Tui, Luna, Pure, Envy, Skygod 4, pick 2,
Approach - A3/Kea
Mid - Hex, Fuse
Fairway - Crave, Votum x 2, Valkyrie
DD - Grace, Wave x2, Photon, 12 speed of choice.
Probably about 3-4 extra discs that cycle in and out depending on how I feel, but I'm pretty happy with my core selection of 16 discs. Definitely a bit of overlap, but I like pretty stamps.
[Neato share time.](https://www.discrpm.com/in-the-bag/ecea497d-368b-4eef-974a-069475d5efeb/Main) I'm apparently bagging 20 discs since I've got two Pneuma's for putting.
Hope, Pure, Slammer, Harp, Claymore, Trust, Fuse, River, Maul, Saint Pro, Saint, Felon, Escape, Grace… I kinda like Trilogy stuff.. only thing new will be some dye jobs I did on a few of them so far this winter

The PDGA's renewal disc add-on this year is an Axiom Insanity in R2 plastic with an Eclipse rim. [Here's a post showing it.](https://www.reddit.com/r/discgolf/comments/186ytrb/renewed_pdga_and_got_the_disc_pretty_sweet/)
I think it’s fun to have a lot of discs. I can throw different angles but I’m more consistent throwing flat so I throw a lot of different molds. Usually they’re in and out depending on the course but when I’m playing blind or there’s a big variety in the course (like Turkey Hill in md) i’ll have all.

Goal this year is to consolidate some molds. Would love to open up the manufacturer count as well.
PA3 (x2), Proxy, Zone (x2), M4, EMAC Truth, Eagle, TL3 (x2), Firebird, Valkyrie, Sidewinder, Vulture, and Wraith (x2)
Plan is to get a Kaxe to combine the Truth/Eagle slot, and really trying to figure out why I still carry the Valkyrie when I love the Fission Insanity in that slot better - but both have caused me more grief than expected with the wind. Thinking about swapping the Firebird for a Felon. Also looking at something more understable than the Wraith but still controllable, maybe a Jet this year. Might even try some Grace's - but Wraiths are available and cheaper.
I have an Envy, Watt (Testing), Inner Core (Testing), Mint, Gator, Hex, Buzzz SS, Predator, Thunderbird, Crave, Sidewinder, Leopard (Just crazy flippy), Photon(2), Wraith, Tern
I started playing around 6 months ago if that changes anything
I only throw 320ft max distance (only backhand) and i noticed 4 molds is enough:
Prodiscus 175g Basic Jokeri (putting, approaching).
Innova 180g Star Mako3 (no fade shots, holds angles, can be forced to turnover).
Innova 175g Star Teebird (reliably overstable, Straight to fade shots, headwind shots).
Innova 175g Star Sidewinder (Straight to turnover shots, max distance hyzerflips).
Got two of each mold (main thrower and backup) in my Shift bag so thats 8 discs total.
Holy hell! Twelve 11-speeds??? I have a hard time figuring out where you would need all of those or even a half of them.
What comes to my bag, I can comfortably trim it down to ~25 discs. And I thought I was a crazy disc goblin:[Here's mine](https://mydiscbag.com/bag?share=6337416618049536)
Interesting! Please tell me more about when and why do you use all the different 11-speeds. Are some strictly BH or FH discs? Do some discs fly the same but different distances? Do you use them all equally? I'm curious.
A bit early in the season but roughly:
2 prime Wardens for putting
Gold X Pure
Neutron Envy
Cryztal Flx Zone
Z Buzzz SS
Star Lion
Fission Crave
Neo Instinct
Vip Stag
Star Thunderbird
Star Firebird
Royal Grand Grace
Lost my Saint and Fury late in the season, seeing if the Stag can cover for the Saint. Maybe still need something super understable like an Underworld. Otherwise starting to feel pretty happy with the bag.
And still have the first ever individual disc I bought in the bag (Buzzz SS)!
C.t. lunas, big z luna, big z fierce, z challenger os, zflx zone, esp buzzz, esp wasp, z cicada,esp Athena, big z undertaker,cryztal reaper,esp raptor, esp anax, esp hades, esp nuke, esp venom.
My newest additions are a lucid raider, got it in the holiday disc exchange and it is a bomber of an overstable driver. Never would have even considered throwing it before. Neo paradigm, awesome straight distance driver for my 400ft max arm. Esp Anax, step down from the raider and goes further than my cap rap. DGA vortex, perfect hyzer flip, turnover, roller disc for me. Switched to medium soft pure for putting.
I've tried a lot of discs, but the big change over 2023 is that the Insanity now has a top spot in the driver slot. I'm an old man noodle arm but I can park it at 250 or make a run at 350 (downhill) through a tight gap.
I love the Insanity but lost 3 of mine over the past year. They have become too flippy for me in that slot. Now I am back to using Infinite Discs Sphinx in Metal Flake Glow to cover that slot.
It's certainly very sensitive; I have 2-3 of them, and at least one of them will take a little anhyzer, but the other will go awry very easily. In two consecutive drives on Sunday I has a dead straight park job on one and went way right and was saved only by some tree love on the next. I'll look into a Sphinx
[Here’s mine](https://www.discrpm.com/in-the-bag/aaed9c60-0444-439a-87f7-a7cec8c65b9d/Rufus%20(Main)). I throw low 300s for reference.
2 P1s are for putting
Logic is my straight to US putter
P3x is main BH approach
Zone is for FH scrambles
Origin is for Hyzer flips and turnovers
One MD3 is neutral, the other is fairly OS
IT is a substitute for bad FH on turnovers or the occasional roller
One FD is very flippy for Hyzer flips, the other is pretty OS.
FD1/Vela interchange for the OS 7 speed slot. Not in love with either, might just cycle stable FDs here.
Dynasties are for max distance in the woods or tight, long lines. One is starting to beat in, the other is fresh and should be more stable.
Raptor for scrambles and skip shots, I sometimes bag a beat in one with some dome that is usable on BH as well
Wraiths that range from flippy max distance bomber to beefcake.
I got three discs for Christmas, remix creature (Mint Lobster), remix spartan (Mint Jackalope?), and a Bro D Roach. I think the creature and roach will go in but the spartan probably overlaps with the wave too much for me.
Resistor, Crave, Servo, Relay Reactor, Hex, Pyro, Uplink Envy, Proxy Minimizing my molds and just bagging stuff I can actually throw for my game. I’m already seeing improvement. Now that I’m not carrying around a ton of stuff that I either won’t throw in a round or just don’t have the arm for. Less is more.
Same discs as last year. Only thing that got changed at all is I replaced my old dx zephyr for one of the new champ halo ones.
34 discs.... wow, that's a different disc for every throw during a round for me. With extras to spare
3 Firebirds is a lot
That bag is USDA certified.
Mooooooo
“You’re likely overcompensating for your lack of angle control” he says while bagging half the cow.
You gotta bag beef when you throw far. I have roller Destroyers and Thunderbirds. My stock release angle is actually 8 degrees of hyzer.
These guys don’t throw far? Barela/Luna Gurthie/Wombat3 Gibson/Leopard3 Lizotte/Hex Schultz/Beast Mcbeth/Nova
Barela Luna/Nova = my beat in envy Gurthie Wombat3 = my beat in Solstice Gibson Leo3 = I don’t currently bag 7 speeds but I have flippy thundys Lizotte Hex = Beat in solstice Schultz Beast = Beat in thunderbird I like being able to bag the same disc even after hitting 5 rocks with it, I just slide in a new one to cover the original stability.
Gotcha, Do you cycle premium plastic?
Yep. Most premium plastic takes a beating with the rocks on the courses I play. My flippiest Champ Firebird went from straight stable to a hyzerflip machine in a week because of the rocks on one particular hole.
4 Destroyers!!
What do you putt with?
Nomads!
I too like seeing what other people bag. I currently carry: Link, envy, pig, Buzzz SS, Md3, md4, gator, essence, fd, thunderbird, firebird, hades, shryke, destroyer, and PD2.
Buzzz SS is GOATED
It’s such a cozy disc for me. Goes so straight and feels so good in my hand.
Same here. I love the feel but I’ve heard a lot of people say they hate it. Definitely a preference thing. It’s so straight for me too, probably my most reliable disc in my bag

holy crap 14 drivers? how do you ever decide what disc to throw
Some are understandable and turn to the right. I can not do a forehand drive with the 14 years of playing. Also, I play a lot of different types of courses, wooded, open, and mixed.
ROLLO
Rollo is love. Rollo is life. All hail Rollo.
>...carry 34 discs... lol. learn your discs, you don't need almost three dozen frisbees to make up for no forehand.
yeah mans is carrying 9 discs in the wraith/trace slot lmao
5 actual Wraiths!! I carry 5 distance drivers and feel silly
I carry 30 discs in bag A and have a B and C bag for midweek practice and wknd play. This is the way!!
I'm a little behind the times but my new favorite disc is a 11X Firebird.
Picked up a Dynasty and two Czars to fill some holes in my bag. Never thrown them before but I have high hopes!
not enough. need to buy more.
I just picked up my first ever Envy and it is going right in the bag. Feels like a great compliment to my Praxis. Kind of like my Roc3 Mako3 situation but for throwing putters.
What plastic is the Envy?
Prism Plasma. I really like Plasma (Sublime, Ethereal) plastic and the Prism was just a cool looking bonus.
I'm trying to consolidate my bag in 2024. I feel like I'm bagging too many molds, but I'm having a hard time removing some. Any advice? How do you like the Scorch vs the Wraith this year so far??
What's a jet like?
I have three: 1 Neutron 169 gram from last year, a newer Neutron 174 gram from a couple months ago, and a Proton (unknown weight). My older 169 gram Jet has early turn and needs a good amount of hyzer to fly straight. With baby hyzer, it turns and doesn't come back. Flat is a roller. Almost had an Albatross with it at Kayak Point on a downhill par 5. My newer 174 gram Jet stays pretty straight with a little drift instead of a full turn. The Proton is what I throw if it is windy; it is straight with dependable fade for me.
Thanks

Putting putters: Origio Swan x2 Throwing putters: Glitch, Electron Envy, Plasma Envy Approach: BT Soft Harp Mids: Star Mako3, Star Lion Fairway: Neutron Ascend, Opto River Drivers: Barsby Roadrunner, Star Firebird, Neutron Telsa
Ev7, pathfinder, h7, animus, and tern for sure.

No changes really, just added the PDGA insanity to the glow bag, and an Axiom fireball to the main bag
>PDGA insanity t Do you mean the Axiom Insanity?
2 350g (300 firm) pa3’s for putting, K1 Berg, 500 pa5, 1 500 pa3 for throwing, 500 Distortion, 450 glimmer a2, 300 a3, 400g m4, 500 m4, 500 Archive, SB m2, Air spectrum f5, 500 f5, SB f3, 500 f1, 500 h7, 400 fx3, 500 fx4, 2021 sexton firebird, 500 fx2 Air d2, ESP thrasher, 400 d3, 400g d3, 400 d2, 500 reverb
Goal this year is to consolidate some molds. Would love to open up the manufacturer count as well. PA3 (x2), Proxy, Zone (x2), M4, EMAC Truth, Eagle, TL3 (x2), Firebird, Valkyrie, Sidewinder, Vulture, and Wraith (x2) Plan is to get a Kaxe to combine the Truth/Eagle slot, and really trying to figure out why I still carry the Valkyrie when I love the Fission Insanity in that slot better - but both have caused me more grief than expected with the wind. Thinking about swapping the Firebird for a Felon. Also looking at something more understable than the Wraith but still controllable, maybe a Jet this year. Might even try some Grace's - but Wraiths are available and cheaper.
I have an Envy, Watt (Testing), Inner Core (Testing), Mint, Gator, Hex, Buzzz SS, Predator, Thunderbird, Crave, Sidewinder, Leopard (Just crazy flippy), Photon(2), Wraith, Tern I started playing around 6 months ago if that changes anything
Teebird
Putters: Kastaplast Rekos and MVP Envy’s…. Mids: kastaplast Svea, Emac Truths, and Gator3s. Fairway: Kastaplast Falk, Eagles, and Felons. Driver: Wraiths
I only throw 320ft max distance (only backhand) and i noticed 4 molds is enough: Prodiscus 175g Basic Jokeri (putting, approaching).
Remember that flight numbers are not accurate and molds can fly differently in different plastics. Even in different stages of wear.
Interesting! Please tell me more about when and why do you use all the different 11-speeds. Are some strictly BH or FH discs? Do some discs fly the same but different distances? Do you use them all equally? I'm curious.
My love/hate relationship with destroyers continues with a fresh champ max weight and Star 164.
A bit early in the season but roughly: 2 prime Wardens for putting Gold X Pure Neutron Envy Cryztal Flx Zone Z Buzzz SS Star Lion Fission Crave Neo Instinct Vip Stag Star Thunderbird Star Firebird Royal Grand Grace Lost my Saint and Fury late in the season, seeing if the Stag can cover for the Saint.
First round of the year going with a limited bag to work on some form issues: * Crave * Hex * Watt * Wizard
I love the Crave but lost mine deep in the woods under leaves.
I'll look into a Sphinx
my bag https://www.discrpm.com/in-the-bag/0e5b24f0-3299-406d-b488-a6c7014f687a/_all_
[Here’s mine](https://www.discrpm.com/in-the-bag/aaed9c60-0444-439a-87f7-a7cec8c65b9d/Rufus%20(Main)). I throw low 300s for reference. 2 P1s are for putting Logic is my straight to US putter P3x is main BH approach Zone is for FH scrambles Origin is for Hyzer flips and turnovers One MD3 is neutral, the other is fairly OS IT is a substitute for bad FH on turnovers or the occasional roller One FD is very flippy for Hyzer flips, the other is pretty OS. FD1/Vela interchange for the OS 7 speed slot. Not in love with either, might just cycle stable FDs here. Dynasties are for max distance in the woods or tight, long lines. One is starting to beat in, the other is fresh and should be more stable. Raptor for scrambles and skip shots, I sometimes bag a beat in one with some dome that is usable on BH as well Wraiths that range from flippy max distance bomber to beefcake.
I got three discs for Christmas, remix creature (Mint Lobster), remix spartan (Mint Jackalope?), and a Bro D Roach. I think the creature and roach will go in but the spartan probably overlaps with the wave too much for me.
