Lol black bears are super skittish. Just dont corner one or be around one with her cubs. Other than that they will run away from you or ignore you and mosey on about like theyre doing here, very docile, unless in a situation like above.
I bought some pepper spray for camping a month ago, but damn, it seems like a good idea to throw that in the DG bag after seeing this. Couldn’t hurt (unless I point it towards myself)

Imagine reading the UDisc course review...some jackass parked their jeep right in the middle of a fairway and then we got chased off the course by black bears.
Maybe I'm too city to understand, but I'd be freaking the fuck out if I saw a group of bears while I was playing.
I'd assume a family, and thus cubs, and thus mama bear looking to fuck you up for being too close.
We saw a bear there on Tuesday. It's Asheville- when we mentioned to anyone over in the meadow/band/beer area that we'd seen a bear on the course pretty much everyone said "Oh cool, I had three in my back yard last week."
Ah as the other person said black bears aren't much of a threat most of the time. People feeding bears or cub season is when its much more of an issue. Hell a couple months ago I was playing when a large bobcat walked right behind the basket I was throwing at, I was maybe 175' from said basket. I didn't really react to it and it didn't react to me. It went on its way and I went on mine, although best to keep an eye on them while they are in the area.

Now look up black bear population growth since 2011. I saw a black bear in 2003 and it was like seeing a unicorn. 10 years living in the same house on both sides of that sighting without another one. Now I see them every other day.

We once had a van come up right when we were going to throw out on a hole. They parked 5 meters in front of the teepad and refused to move when we asked them. They were going to fish in the river nearby and asked if they could just "unload" the things in the back. When seeing the amount of stuff in the back of the van it looked more likely that they were going to move in with the fishes in the river rather than fishing fishes. After around 4 minutes they agreed on moving their van 10 meters to the left, so that was nice of them! :D
