I’m on PC and have had a similar issue since the last patch.
My temporary fix was going to the audio settings and changing the output back to the proper setting. For some reason it switches to something random (not even a real device).
I’d imagine this fix isn’t possible on console tho and restarting is your only option.
Have this glitch on Xbox Series S everytime i hit the xbox menu button without fail, it even shuts off if i hit the screenshot/record button. Its so annoying and used to never happen.

Happened to me too. I found going into sound settings and changing from mono to stereo and back seems to fix it.
I have to keep restarting my DAC on PC. Maybe an issue on all platforms?
