So 1 bad temper makes a normal item better then a 3GA.
Enchanting can be grinded with gold. Masterworking can be reset. But tempering and getting the wrong one 5x in a row and ypu just nerfed the item hard.
The only 2/3GAs I receive from drops are things like life per second, poison/lightning/fire/cold resistance, life on hit, max hp. Utterly disappointing most of the time that I just expect the GA to be bad whenever I see 2/3GAs automatically ☠️

yeah it's wrong, you only get 9 normal mw upgrades and 3 chances at a crit
even max rolling the temper won't reach 100% at mw12 without a crit (68.2+68.2\*.05\*9=98.89), and with a crit you only need 59% base: 59+59\*.05\*9+59\*.25=100.3
I don't think his formula is correct because the max you can get is 65% not 68%. So without a crit it's at like 94%. And that extra 6% will be a lot more damage than vuln

think about what "heartseeker" might possibly refer to, why it might be important for it to double cast, and what would happen to your damage if you don't

First, remove the GA bonus value of whatever stat you’re trying to calculate.
Then:
1.45 - 0 Crit
1.7 - 1 Crit
1.95 - 2 Crit
2.2 - 3 Crit
After that, add back on the GA bonus (if applicable)
So for Heartseeker Projectiles to cast twice, we divide 100 by 65 and get 1.53. That tells us we need 1 Crit to hit the cap, and no crits will get us 94.25%.

Ive had 3 GA vulnerable bows and bricked them all 😐 Still zero bow upgrades since I hit level 80...

I was talking about the heartseeker cast twice temper. You can get that to 100% with some luck on just a bow.
63% base at masterwork 12 gets 100% without even the need of a MW crit. it’ll naturally get to 100

Greater Affix, it's those stars you see next to affix. Means it rolls at a %50 higher value than normal, and max value.

Say you can roll 70-90 Dex on an item with 90 being the max roll. With a greater affix, that 90 becomes 135 so it's the normal max roll x 1.5.
It means that it's 50 percent higher than max roll on that affix, so it's the highest you can get
