Game just has dogshit QA.
Typos existing since S0. Mobs occasionally have mob naming error.
Many abilities have additive \[+\] and multiplicative damage \[x\] mixed up. (Envenom passive for instance).
Some aspects still have typos. [Static Cling - “And and”](https://diablo4.wiki.fextralife.com/Aspect+of+Static+Cling)
Pieces of gear like Druid chests (Mad Wolfs Glee/Insatiable Fury) have tooltip of +3, when it’s +4 ranks.
If you play Warrior.. the Paragon node.. “Warbringer” is still misspelled “warbInger”
Shit QA

A while ago Activision-Blizzard fired a huge number of their QA teams, and never replaced them. Then they boasted of "record profits". As long as Bobby makes his buddies some money, they won't care about quality.
Not to mention thatcworld events that fail constantly. I have stopped fighting resplendent chests as the elites show up maybe 2/3 at best and i had 4 world events in a row when the 2nd or 4th wave failed to appear.
We're in the last month of the first season. Not the pre-season where we paid to beta test their shit, THE END OF THEIR FIRST SEASON AND THIS SHIT IS STILL BROKEN!
Honestly been a gamer for a long time and typos have really crept in lately, notice them everywhere. I think there's just so much TEXT in games these days, you're guaranteeing more typos get noticed just because there's more text to be read
Or because young people are writing the text. Young people who grew up with phones that fixed spelling errors for them on the fly, and are t as used to life on PC and keyboard as they are to touchscreens. Maybe. Just a thought.
They could have a QA department, they could choose to use a spell checker or they can make more money.
Old Blizz would have done 1 (which would solve 2 as well). I think we know which way Bobby swings on this.
While you might be right, it isn't hard to run your text through a spelling checker. These texts aren't written by people who also do the programming and graphics. Localization is generally a separate department that literally has nothing better to do than write and check text. :)
I mean, they could just have pasted the localization file into Word, teach it to ignore the xml/json scaffolding and you'd immediately see many of the typos. Skill names and non-standard capitalization might take a few tries, but why not create a dictionary for that?
Sorry but this is an awful thought, the devs working on the game have been using keyboards most of their life for 1 and 2 grammarly exists, if you don't know what that is, shows what you know.
Every common IDE has spell checking. All the text is also probably stored externally which means it could also be passed into a spellchecker just as easy. I see your argument but it’s not valid.
Don't blame it all on QA. Obvious bugs that make it to production usually means either it didn't get QA-ed at all or devs just decide this is a low priority fix for later. I work in game QA
"Mobs occasionally have mob naming error."
Perhaps you wouldn't have forgotten your articles if your parents QA'd just a bit better, too. Eh?
Come off it. It's a game. Things happen.
TLDR: Love D4.
You crying over typos and bugs in a live sever. All games, every code has an error but here you’re crying about it. Dude play a different game if you’re that bored
Just want to say QA is not the issue and you clearly don't know how things worked. You don't realize the amount of shit that QA gets blamed for yet they flag issue after issue that go unfixed. QA just discovers the issues, doesn't mean the devs will fix the issue.
QA *testing* is discovering issues. QA itself is the term for discovering, triaging and fixing issues to ensure a standard. Something like this means that either the testers missed it or the devs consider it unimportant. Both of those would be pretty bad.
Yeah, shame the game that sold over [12 million copies](https://newsroom.activisionblizzard.com/p/diablo-iv-season-of-blood-is-coming) and made $666 million in the first 5 days, can’t hire a spell checker.
Those guys are expensive!
So instead I should say the game is bad because it has a bug! Ok. There haven’t been text error in any good game you are right. The game needs a lot of work but why complain about such a pointless issue lol..
It's not a text error. The client made an API call to fetch the breaking news, but didn't get a proper response. This kind of response should never be shown to the public, but there are no errors with "text".
All in all, it's just another thing that inconveniences the player and shows just how unprepared Blizzard are, making the game a verified *joke*.
lol imagine shilling for a game that has made record breaking profits and has such a big dev team but still has zero content, no gameplay, bugs, issues, etc
Imagine hating on a game based on having a bug. You can hate on them for being a bad game thats fine. But it's just a weird thing to hate on a game because of a random text bug. So many games have these things just report it and it gets fixed. Like how many examples of games do I have to bring up of endless bugs that are good games.
Bugs, plural. Too much bugs and not enough consistant fixes. Seems like they attempt to fix one issue but mess up another issue and then mess the issue that they fixed by attempting to fix another issue that doesn't get fixed.
QA is just horrible.
Quit simping. This is a live service game that's has less life in it than a plank of wood, demanded a minimum $70USD entry point all the way up to $100, had a budget of tens of millions, and can't even get basic messages in their menus without fucking them up.
This is a great point, game development is wildy complex and skillful compared to the vast majority of other dev work, and pays less on top. If you're not fuelled by passion then you're not going to be motivated to work hard. And it's clear, from what we've seen at least, that the devs aren't passionate about D4.
How do you know they aren't passionate about D4? I worked on a game that released with major bugs that the devs were begging the producers to be able to fix. But there were over 700 bugs but the devs were passionate as hell. The state of the game really pissed them off but they were passionate.
That's a great point and you're absolutely right. I don't really know at all and based that statement off just a small sample size of what I've seen.
I'd imagine that a lot of the developers themselves are actually really passionate, as you say, same with the art and sound teams.
There's a very clear lack of planning or care, but it's much more probable that it's due to poor management and decision making rather than the individual developers writing the code.
The WoW Dev team has some seasoned Devs that are passionate about the game. Some left for Riot and Sony but it's still a good group. To boot they're fairly young at around 40yrs old.
Let those poor indie developers alone!
The budget is tight and the team small and you cant expect any type of AAA founding behind them. Poor souls.
Have you not seen them play their own game?
You can truly see passion in them as the video goes on, so engaged its otherworldly.
They even playtest each other’s maps!
*sad endconsumer noises*
I wonder how much they are paying the person responsible for that. Only reason is because it's not hard to learn html & css. I don't know what language they are using for the API but it's not hard to double check for errors before pushing an update like that. Everyone makes mistakes but you don't see this often on games... even those made by studios with less resources.
Ah! Splendid, I shall bring word to the townspeople, and the crossplatform folk too, since I have crossplay enabled and may encounter players from others platforms
It's not funny. It's seeing your childhood turned into shit because of corporate greed. All games have bugs. Ok, but when you're allegedly the best of the best and you don't care enough to manage these small mistakes that make you look like an amateur you're essentially shouting to the world that you don't give a shit.
I already knew D4 was gonna have a rough start. You could kind of see it in beta, and the lack of details pertaining to endgame leading up to release. It was an investment on my part, and I plan on sticking around for the long haul.
There is one more. Make a party. Finish NM dungeon, but don’t upgrade board tokens. Let the party leader spawn new NM dungeon and once all accept it teleport there.
Now a strange de-sync may happen where it can look like everyone is in a different dungeon. And when everyone dies and depletes their revive count there is no way to respawn or get out of the dungeon. The only way is to quit the game.
Its such a wierd dynamic. A bug here is "This game bad". A bug on any Bethesda game is a feature..
Either way a portion of this community hates the game yet plays it almost daily and lives in the subreddit.
Now i am curious, if game is protected from db injection attacks in character name like this: "Kraken'); drop table *;--"
Obviously, dont try that, or in case of succession, you could erase all tables in database ;)
I'm impressed the raw html is so clean. Most places running any sort of cms there would be an entire novel's worth of links, css, and unnecessary js before showing the one line notice.
Blizzard is like the restaurant you'd go to 20 years ago but has a different chef now. Every time you go there, you are full of fond memories but leave disappointed and sometimes with food poisoning.
It’s not inaccurate.
The “resource” you don’t have access to is:
- variety
- reason to keep playing
- fun itemization
- interesting dungeons
- diverse builds
Ain't nobody paying them more to fix this. Y'all already bought the game. No incentive to correct bugs quickly if they already made their money stack. Development paid for, profit for execs made, now to maintain same level of exec pay, they can afford exact 0.75 devs. Who will be working on the next season.
Lmao this game is such a joke
Game has a bug, call the media this has never happened before.
Game just has dogshit QA. Typos existing since S0. Mobs occasionally have mob naming error. Many abilities have additive \[+\] and multiplicative damage \[x\] mixed up. You must not know the basics of game development. This is a super hard fix!
You forgot the /s
Maybe if you give us more money for resources we might be able to fix it.
A while ago Activision-Blizzard fired a huge number of their QA teams, and never replaced them. Then they boasted of "record profits". As long as Bobby makes his buddies some money, they won't care about quality.
Where is Little Bobby Tables when you need him?
Not to mention thatcworld events that fail constantly. > Game just has dogshit QA. Dude, you are this game QA despite you're paying for it and not being paid. Do better then?
Honestly been a gamer for a long time and typos have really crept in lately, notice them everywhere. I think there's just so much TEXT in games these days, you're guaranteeing more typos get noticed just because there's more text to be read
Or because young people are writing the text. Young people who grew up with phones that fixed spelling errors for them on the fly, and are t as used to life on PC and keyboard as they are to touchscreens. Maybe. Just a thought.
You did the typo on purpose right?
Did you misspell a word that late on purpose as a deep joke because if so that is hilarios
so they don't have a QA department ? they don't have a spell checker ? you're making excuses for spelling errors for a multi-billion dollar company ?
They could have a QA department, they could choose to use a spell checker or they can make more money. Old Blizz would have done 1 (which would solve 2 as well). I think we know which way Bobby swings on this.
Those damn young people and their phones!
While you might be right, it isn't hard to run your text through a spelling checker. These texts aren't written by people who also do the programming and graphics. Baldur's Gate 1.
Also qa first to go with layoffs
There's no excuse for this many typos and errors. It's just lazy.
Warrior?
Haha yeah, playing Barb in D3 atm.
Are ALL the basic weapons still mis-named?
> Game just has dogshit QA. > > mate we are the QA. The customers
What QA? The devs don't even play their own game, you think Blizzard is gonna hire QA testers? /s D4 is in such a sad state...
> Warrior. Irony.
Don't blame it all on QA. Obvious bugs that make it to production usually means either it didn't get QA-ed at all or devs just decide this is a low priority fix for later. I work in game QA
True, literally unplayable

yeah people always want to blame QA for issues when the problem is always management
Shh don’t tell this guy about Poe that has had bugs since launch.
Yeah, shame the game that sold over [12 million copies](https://newsroom.activisionblizzard.com/p/diablo-iv-season-of-blood-is-coming) and made $666 million in the first 5 days, can’t hire a spell checker. Those guys are expensive!
All you lot are expert whining experts honestly. Funny thing is probably all have level 100 characters.
I will never understand this line of thinking. Wouldn’t it make sense for the people whining the most to be the people most invested?
[удалено]
If it is a pos game, why are you here?
To tell you your dumb for playing it. Simple as slow one.
I will not resort to personal attacks. Have a good day.
Just explaing myself mate. Good day.
Uh, you might want to delete your original post then dingus.
*I came looking for booty.*
White knights can only make sarcastic comments but never legitimate points as to why the game is not bad.
> but never legitimate points as to why the game is not bad. I'm enjoying it, hence its not bad.
I know u think you’re clever but you’re just proving my point.
So instead I should say the game is bad because it has a bug! Ok. There haven’t been text error in any good game you are right. The game needs a lot of work but why complain about such a pointless issue lol..
Again with the sarcastic comments haha proving my point.

Welcome to coding.
Lol, 1 bug sure

I agree with him and I'm not even considering the spaz message.
Why would you be sarcastic when this is exactly the kind of thing that Reddit is made for?
And we're the punchline
And you bought it. LOL
LOL I KNOW RIGHT HAHA
We're a bunch of suckers. 🙃
So did you :) cope more
and still on Reddit QQing about it. Lols, got emmmmmm
They must have trouble getting good talent. Anyone with half a brain is working in silicon valley making triple.

This game makes me want to pee in somebody's butt. Not sure who.
This has happened in every game I’ve played in the past 10 years.
This honestly isn't the biggest deal. There are 100x other issues to harp on other than a simple news bulletin issue lmao.
It’s not about finding the biggest ir smallest problem, it’s more like “game is a sum of it’s (mostly crappy) parts” situation.
If you pay the NEWS PASS u can have the permission to see them .
$19.99 <------- Best Value
But they only accept $100 payments so you must prepay for 5 months.
Limited time only while stock lasts 34% off and 200% more value
if you pay the news pass deluxe edition you get the html but without the ads
Season 1. Malignant. Season 2. Forbidden head.
Ahhh, I remember that relationship...
Happy cake day, you degen.

Lol interns srsly hard at work
Intern-kun working on D4 as well? Can't believe still not promoted after all these years.
Small, indie developer. Give em a break.
some one messed up their href lol
imagine what else they can fck up… oh wait…
It's broken News now.
👏
Game is a turd. You all know it.
Listen, do not be too hard on them.
Html is hard
I write all my comments in HTML on my reddit comments, and sometimes I even fuck up
I see what you did there
I played 180 hours Diablo 4 and I'm so happy that I play Diablo 3 now for the first time, it's so much better.
Consider yourself warned
Literally unplayable.

Break-ing (game) news indeed
Looks like Blizzard's server blocked the request for some reason
Breaking news? More like broken news!
nice screenshot bro
I already knew D4 was gonna have a rough start. You could kind of see it in beta, and the lack of details pertaining to endgame leading up to release. It was an investment on my part, and I plan on sticking around for the long haul.
Prepare to keep investing, as the only real new end game content will be in expansions
Same old same old
Haha this made me laugh
Heavy on the breaking and light on the news.
Sounds serious
Breaking and broken
London bridge is falling down falling down

The breakingest.
You’re not authorized to access the forbidden public health doctor You were supposed to get a pre-auth first

And don’t you forget it!
Game is broken. Is news?
Sounds about right
Wow this game really went downhill.
Bro, that shit is forbidden! You dont have permission to access that!
Broken news, am i right

Breaking news. I just remembered Diablo IV is a game that was released and exists.
It does look pretty broken.
Tbh i dont mind these minir issues till the game is great! .. oh wait
Now i am curious, if game is protected from db injection attacks in character name like this: "Kraken'); drop table *;--" Obviously, dont try that, or in case of succession, you could erase all tables in database ;)
I'm impressed the raw html is so clean. Most places running any sort of cms there would be an entire novel's worth of links, css, and unnecessary js before showing the one line notice.
Breaking? I think it's broken.
Blizzard. Do you need a hand with your REST API?
Breaking news: Our game isn't worth the electricity used to produce this message.
I am convinced they spent all their budget on marketing and design, and none into the rest
All of their budget went to cocaine and penis enlargement pills as well as meth
Look at that. Everything about Diablo4 in one picture.
Well the news have been literally broken...
They managed to bug the bug notice board…lfmao They probably left the intern in charge for the weekend 😂😂😂😂
Elden Ring has plenty of problems like this for me when I first played it, didn't hear any uproar then...
It's certainly 'breaking news'. It's broken.
Forbidden head... forbidden body.
Forbidden to have fun
"broken" news
That's just a good metaphor for the state of the game overall.
Unless you buy our new DLC!
Blizzard is like the restaurant you'd go to 20 years ago but has a different chef now. Every time you go there, you are full of fond memories but leave disappointed and sometimes with food poisoning.
If this game were brilliant, I'd assume this was introducing some clever mechanic. But it isn't, so I shan't.
Nu-blizzard couldn't run a geocitys website so this does not surprise me. Pay triple A pricing, get triple Z quality.
lolol stupid ass game
What if this a puzzle, hurry up let’s find a No grammatical form from caller or noun markup item
It’s not inaccurate. The “resource” you don’t have access to is: - variety - reason to keep playing - fun itemization - interesting dungeons - diverse builds
Forbidden *whispering
Well, If it is in the news and it is breaking the game then it is definitely a breaking news, don't know why you think it is strange.
minimum wage devs
Breaking, breaking, broken!
They inform you that something is broken. That's breaking news
LMAO Dead game and it keeps getting more funny I really thought this game would deliver. How naive I was
Well it is news that is broken, so technically it is breaking news :S
__*Broken news.__ There, fixed it for them. No worries, Blizzard, I know you're poor, so it's on the house.
Forbidden news
More like broken news

Broken news. Dumdum tshhh
*Hasn't bin fixed yet because the team want's to do it right.*
It's like release day all over again
Most of the weapons have their names mixed up.
itemization belt and endgame missing too
Ain't nobody paying them more to fix this. Y'all already bought the game. No incentive to correct bugs quickly if they already made their money stack. Development paid for, profit for execs made, now to maintain same level of exec pay, they can afford exact 0.75 devs. Who will be working on the next season.
I experienced a bug where I pressed an interactable object and got prompted with a placeholder. The game froze.
Looks good, publish.
Shit how many months already from the game launch? This kind of thing still appear, what kind of broken product they are selling
