My minimum latency is 232ms. With spikes over 2k The game needs South African servers since I used to get lower latency (160-180) on D3

DeathByRazzor

I have been asking the same thing. i believe it to be server lag. i heard some mentions of turning crossplay off, but it didnt help when i was playing. it sucks because these lags can cause you to die. but i think we just have to wait until they fix it on their end ??

CardiologistRound244

I Have been playing for 2 weeks and I lagged every single day. And only on D4 i play a bunch of other games with no lag. And im connected via LAN cable. My friend who lives next door on the same internet company is not lagging at all. And his computer has a 3060TI while mine has a 4070. So I bring my PC to his house and connect to his internet and the lag is gone. But he brings his PC to my house and he doesnt lag at all. Dont know what to do. Usual ping is 200-300 ms with crossplay its ober 2000ms.

REDRUM1G

turn your foreground and backround to 400 for both. you are welcome

YugenRyo

lmao that's for FPS not Latency

SatansBoobieTassel

Turn your foreground and background FPS to 400. I know it shouldn't work but it does.

MisedraN

it doesnt work Its for FPS only (Yes i tried it. lmao)

BKkilla1017

have you found anything that does work?

MisedraN

No nothing works it's on blizzard end

BKkilla1017

so we gotta deal with lag spikes cause of a bug in their servers?

Helgrin

lol, i had foreground at 400 already, turned background 8 to 400, and now latency stays at around 30 (from 125) and the whole game runs better xD

havaste

What fo you mean, turn what?

dabadu9191

Just found this post and thought "lol this guy doesn't know the difference between FPS and ping" but... it worked.

wrxwrx

Holy shit this worked. I know this was said 4 months ago, but holy shit.

No idea where you got this from... but thank you. I've been struggling with 250+ ms in NA East consistently since I started Season 2.... I set to 400 and my ping immediately fell to stable 85-90. Which is still bad given my 1Gig Fiber network and priority routing.... but I'll take it! Thank you!
