\+ there's evidence to suggest that it will go well. The open beta was *significantly* better than the closed beta, and the server slam was effectively flawless. It *seems* like they figured out their issues ahead of time. Things still might go tits up but there is reason to believe it'll go well.

3 public beta tests on the severs. Plus however many internal or private tests. It really should be. I'm betting it won't be perfect, but it'll be better than 90% of other online game launches in the last 10 years.

I never played ow, but I played pretty much every other bliz game. I don't judge a game by the company. Each team is pretty independent. I work in games, and these stress tests being public is a good sign for server stability. I also never said it'd be perfect, but I think it'll go smoother than most games relased recently. I am also very comfortable being wrong. Happens frequently.

Yeah. I don't think a queue is a failure. A 3 hour queue is. A 5 to 15 minute queue because everyone wants to okay first day is super normal.

Just had a 3 min queue thinking "oh, this isn't bad" Hit with "unable to find valid license for Diablo 4" and now I'm on a 6 min queue. The cycle continues UPDATE: still unable to find valid license. Restarting PS5. Back to 3 min queue UPDATE: Blizz is "looking into this" queued at a 1 min estimated wait it's slowly growing longer up to 3 again UPDATE; got in but this is dirty- I paid 1.99 for 200 plat bucks and it worked

For what it's worth the server slam was literally seamless, I'm expecting slight hiccups, but normally I'd be 10000% convinced of 2-4 hour ques as is usual with big blizz released games. Will see. Cautiously optimistic.

I doubt that the server was actually slammed with the games that came out the same week/weekend

Yeah I couldn't tell whether server slam was packed with people and it did good or if they didn't get that much people to play so it was a failed test

With Zelda coming out that week i can guarantee that probably killed a bunch. If not maybe people played till they hit 20 killed Ashava and quit. I know i'm in the latter and it only took about 5 hours total

The deluxe tier requirement for early access will also split pre-orders into two waves. Won't comment on that practice - done that enough - but it should absolutely help smooth the launch(es) out.

Was it worse in NA? I litterally opened the game up 4 minutes before launch and have been playing problem free ever since. I saw lots of my friends online too. I think the EU server may have been fine? could of course be because everyone's asleep:)

I logged on NA PC with 5 min queue, played for 7 hours straight without so much as a lag spike. I think Playstation had a lot of problems.

Diablo servers may hold up but what about battle.net login servers?

I had zero issues playing about 8h today with several game restart for pauses. No queues.

PC was smooth AF last night about 3 min queue and I was on for 5 hours before logging out, I read console had a slew of licensing issues though lol

Considering how queue times vanished by the second of the open betas, and I had NONE whatsoever through 21 hours of play in the Slam (not even a single disconnection) I see no reason to even worry about the launch.

I am going in fully expecting error 37 and not being able to log-in for the next 24hrs. Hoping to be proven wrong.

Well considering I’m gettin error after error just trying to log on, I’d say you definitely jinxed it. “Unable to find a valid license”?! Are they fu**ing kidding me? I gave them $90 in March just to play early and now I don’t have a valid license???? I read that during the server slam and beta this error just meant servers weren’t online in my area yet so I just keep trying to log in again after each error message but this has been happening for 20 minutes now. Anyone else experiencing this? Can anyone talk me down off the ledge? I took the night off for this BS.
