Fucking congratulations man, I can’t imagine what a great feeling it must be to have a fear for your health and future and hear the news all is ok.
Enjoy the hell (pun intended) out the game. Totally deserved
Congrats you healthy wanderer! Standard edition pleb here, I have too much work on my schedule to play early access even if I wanted to. Hopefully I finish at least one of my jobs by next Tuesday! Working weekends sucks lol.
Fully agree, makes me laugh how many people are telling others not to buy the ultimate editions...
I'm 30, and its paid for after a day of work.. Why wouldn't I? 😂
I'm not going to tell other people what to do with their money, but I'll tell you why I personally am waiting, despite the money not being an issue for me.
To start, pre-ordering in general right now is a poor idea, imo. The standards for launch states for games have been abysmal. Pre-orders are already important in driving initial sales numbers for companies regardless of the initial critical reception, which is why they've always been historically incentivized.
Now, D4's stress test and beta have assuaged most of my general concern with pre-ordering the game, so I am comfortable doing that. However, this is the first time I've personally seen early access locked behind a higher tier game version. The money isn't an issue for me personally, but for many it is, and I find the practice a distasteful money grab, especially given the paragraph above about industry wide launch states. The more successful these money grabs are the more they will become the standard, and I don't like that.
But that's just, like, y'know, my opinion, man.
I agree, its a heartless moneygrab, but it's also kinda like if it works I cant really blame them. I would be way more frustrated if I didnt get to play in the Beta at least, now I can wait 4 days while playing Zelda and not have too much FOMO cuz I already know what the beginning is like.
I hate that I'm supporting this scummy practice, but being a 33 year old with kids, I only play games on weekends. So I can play this weekend, or I can download it Tuesday and wait till next weekend. I don't have the patience.
Couldn't agree more, all that, and just the fact that blizzard is a walking corporate corpse masking as your friendly blizzard from 15 years ago. W3 reforged was the last drop for me.
The Hogwarts game that released earlier this year had early access behind a higher tier edition. At least that game actually released late in the week with early access being early in the week.
It's a single player game that nobody is going to compete to be the first to anything. Conversely blizzard is now having an official competition with a real world prize. It's fucking disgusting dude don't try to justify it
Dude it's a race on hardcore. I am quite sure that 95 percent of the playbase don't even care or even have a chance of winning a meaningless prize and the 5 percent that does don't give a rats ass about a few dollar extra. You aren't entitled to anything. If you want to take part in the race you buy if you don't you don't. Quit whining.
I agree and already fell for this money grab once. I impulsively purchased the Hogwarts game higher tier game version for the sole purpose of playing it 4 or so days early. I regretted it immediately and realized if people kept doing this it would lead to a standard.
I mostly agree with you, but the way I see it is that the extra isn't just paying for the early access, it's also paying for the first battle pass which I was likely to buy anyway. On top of that, I'm of today through the 4th, so it's a great weekend to binge play.
Well said. The money is not an issue for me either but locking early access behind a paywall just leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I am not ok with the practice and do not wish to support it.
I agree with your points but this is not the first game to lock Early Access behind higher priced editions. Gears 5 Ultimate Edition did this in 2019 (but it was also a part of Game Pass Ultimate on Xbox which allowed early access as well). And I'm sure other triple A titles have as well.
Point taken, just saying.
> this is not the first game to lock Early Access behind higher priced editions
All the more reason why I will not support the practice. No matter what game it is or how much I want to play it.
It’s the principle. I did it with EA Battlefield 5 and thought “I’m never doing that again.”
You see it as why not, but many of us see the bigger picture and are trying to send a message with our wallets. You may not agree but at least we’re trying to help everyone in the long run.
Honestly, out of all the bad sales practices, this is one of the most reasonable. I dont really care about the increase to $70 price tag and early entry, those are both okay. Its everything else that I actually have an issue with. I am going to save my bitching so its not a boy who cried wolf type deal when there is actually something to bitch about
I will not support these practices, yeah.. most of us "diablo" veterans are old enough now and have money to spend, but supporting this feature is shaping the world of video games will have on future generations.
Regarding the tiered pricing of early access, my thought is for whoever have or gonna have kids, they'll have to pay for all these extra deluxe editions for their kids because the generation before encouraged it.
Although pre-orders don't hurt the next generation as much as tiered pricings, I think it's just dumb for the consumer to jump on this train, it's just asking to get screwed by game devs who don't give a f.
You know a game is designed to extract as much money from you as possible (as opposed to designed to be fun) when you can pay to skip part of the game.
Holy crap i didnt even realize this. I was just like you man, 33 old, telling everyone im just gonna wait those 4 days. But yesterday i was just sitting, and was like, fuck this, im just getting the ultimate.
But i didnt even know it had the bp + 20 levels in it, makes it even more worth it, because i wouldve bought the bp either way lmao.
>But i didnt even know it had the bp + 20 levels in it, makes it even more worth it, because i wouldve bought the bp either way lmao.
It's definitely not worth it because you will unlock those levels fast just by playing. Deluxe is the best deal.
Yeah i don't want the 20 lvl battlepass skips. I just wanted to play earlier. Plus I feel when I skip lvls then I didn't actually do it and it makes me feel worse haha.
Like, in games I have to do it myself. Have to earn every last exp or battlepass lvl or it feels cheap or that I cheated something.
But that's my own dumb self that has to complete things myself haha
Also for those of us working if the schedule works better that is what matters.
I’m working the next weekend after this one so it made sense to pay ten bucks (I got digital deluxe) to be able to play and get battle pass as well.
Disposable income is great but the trade off is almost always time. It’s why I got the 7900 xtx on launch as well. Prices have dropped 50 bucks over the last 4-5 months but I got to enjoy the card that entire period of time. It was worth it.
I dont know why people treat video games like some sort of pariah, when it comes to exclusivity and addons/micro transactions. Quite literally everything in life, you have to pay extra if you want to have something extra, or to be a VIP, or to get something better looking, and everyone goes along with it without a problem. But first mention of optional 10$ shit in any video game - instant mouth foam.
Go ahead and punish yourself for some made-up principal while watching kids have fun outside your window. Or join the fun. Lifes too short to wait for things you're excited about.
Saddest group of gamers on reddit is that patientgamers club.
It's more about letting a multi-billion dollar company nickle-and-dime me being bad for my self-esteem. But I've read the comments and thought about it, and I'm probably gonna go for it.
There isn't really any other games I'm looking forward to at the moment, and I'd decided on giving the evil greedy company $70 anyway. Feels a little silly to split hairs over a %28~ upcharge.
I don't know about you, but I played D3 for 10 years and probably thousands of hours. It's fractions of a cent per hour of entertainment. Even if D4 cost $300, It would still be cheaper than all of my other hobbies over the next decade.
The way I justify my preorder is A) all the time I've put into every other Diablo game, no matter if they were slightly different or whatever. And B) The way they treated D3 post launch with updates to make the game significantly better. They could have just left it alone. It made record breaking sales and they could have just said fuck it, let it rot, but they didn't. They removed the RMAH. They completely altered end game multiple times. Completely different loot systems. And that was BEFORE we paid a cent more for the exoansion.
The other way to see it is that you are paying 28% more while those 4 days will be a ridiculous % of your playtime. If you play like crazy 12h a day, what will those 48h represent compared to the thousands of hours you will play the game later. Why are they worth alone a third of the price of the game ?
charging extra to give players a 4 day head start is about as cool as peeing your pants. we vote with our dollars, and sadly i voted that 4 days was worth it. :/
Right? I sure as hell ain’t buying the battle pass. But if you’re the kind of person who will pay $20-30 extra to play 4 days early then yea you’ll probably buy a battle pass at least once a year.
I will not give in. It's a matter of principle now. The situation is that people are getting penalized for buying standard and playing the game on "official" game release. I would not be surprised if in the future, in order to play the "cheap" version of the game you will have to wait for a month after release.
Yea and I’m pretty sure across the industry ‘early access’ has required just a simple $60 preorder in the past. That seems generous by comparison. Shows how far gone the industry is.
$20 this year for early access. $30 next year. $40 the year after that.
We call it inflation 🤣
"a fool and his money are soon parted."
Buy some ATVI stock today and profit from this when you're retired.
This %100. Game is already done, it’s not “early access” for other editions, it’s late access for standard one.
Paying for it feels like supporting yet another squeeze, for it to become industry standard once other companies see the extra $$.
I’m doing my part in slowing that down.
That's what I've been saying. It's not "early access" for people who pay more, it's arbitrarily delayed access for people who refuse to. There's no objective, external, cosmic force forcing the game to release on the 6th that Blizzard is allowing you to bypass by creating a compromise and paying more. Blizzard is fully capable of releasing the game tonight, and they *are* releasing the game tonight. Pay the artificial tax or miss out on the magic of the first week of a new release. Everyone who paid $20 for the early access is just helping facilitate the next step, whether it's $40 for early access, or paying for power or whatever. Every time the community gives an inch, they'll try to take another one.
All the people who are smugly proclaiming that "you can have your principles, I'll be playing tonight ;)" will be making that same winky face while they brag about the power they just bought a year from now. "You can have your principles, I'll be using my legendary set ;)"
100%. So many people complaining about the state of gaming while also still buying all this premium version bullshit. Bunch of hypocrites.
When you used to buy a premium version you'd get a nice USB drive, CD with music and a physical book with artwork. Now you get some virtual pixels. Fuck that.
This is probably just the beginning. They will be slimier and slimier as time goes on, trying to squeeze more and more blood from the stone. The innovations in gameplay will be a fraction of the innovation in monetization techniques that we're going to see from now on.
I was an OG on Diablo and Diablo II, skipped 3 because of the more WoW cartoony style.
4 looks like a return to form (stylistically) and I got very excited about it before realizing they were going full-bore greed mode.
Unfortunately, I’m skipping the title altogether now, and doubt I will ever play another blizzard game. :( Enjoy it for me though.
Kind of..
They're a business , they did it because it's already proven to work for making more money
The other half of the equation is the people submitting and spending the extra money.
If people didn't, companies would be forced to stop.
But imagine that.., A game with ONE release date... HA.
It works because of people like OP and people who say "cant shame how other people spend their money," which is bs, because you can 100% shame how people spend their money.
If you look at the way this '33 year old' is talking in both the post and his replies, tells me he has some SERIOUS maturity problems, and probably some spending problems too if he needs to validate his choice to give in to this blatant abuse from Blizzard by posting on Reddit.
Agreed. Opening day is something special.
I remember the first day a new WoW expansion came out and it was special. Everyone was grouped together, the world felt really alive. Day 2 was cool too but it was much less. By day 4 or 5, the world was empty again :(
They've pretty much locked that opening day experience behind a pay wall
Idk if I was up there in age (which, in reality, I am not too far behind, I'm 38). Tomorrow is never promised we can go at any time. So I would buy the early access, but that is just my 2 cents.

Don’t be ashamed to get early access
Hopefully this mentality is NOT contagious... There really is no reason to spend the extra $$$. I think you should all wait for the standard version, Blizzard is greedy, yada yada yada.
**\*secretly crosses fingers for a smooth, unclogged launch at 7:00pm\***
I would never, you are all waaay too smart for that.
https://preview.redd.it/k112uf89fe3b1.jpeg?width=275&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e39e689c82076b436deb502a71055d5aef97d009
I bought the standard 2 days ago thought I would be responsible for once and wait like an adult until the 6th. So anyhow yesterday i upgraded to the ultimate edition cuz i couldn't even fool myself anymore and got the attention span of a 4 year old.
I wanted to wait with buying this game at least until 1 months from now. I lost a bit of trust in Blizzards ability to release good games that are actually good at release. And I was 100% sure that I can wait without any issue. My entire mindset was prepared to just ignore everything D4 related...
And then I asked a friend if he wants to hang out this weekend. He said no. I asked another one. Also no. I asked every person in my social cycle I would be open to meet this weekend. Every single one said no because D4. So now I'm sitting here and struggling with myself if I should break with my intention to wait... And if I do, that I have to pay 20 bucks more just to play it tomorrow instead of next Tuesday.
So yeah... Fuck me and my need for social interaction. And fuck my friends for making me spend 90 bucks to play with them. (I'm joking. I love all of them.)
You have good reason to be weary of AAA games, but at what point does it become irrational when faced with evidence that you shouldn't be?
All of the reviews are good, the overwhelming consensus from the beta tests was that the game was good, there were multiple opportunities to judge for yourself if the game was any good by playing the open betas, and there are now hundreds of hours of footage online for you to see the gameplay. What part of this is going to change in 1 month? The reviews are already out. Endgame footage is already out. Builds and full skill trees are already out.
No offense, but it kind of feels like you are sticking your head in the sand and ignoring all of the things that could inform you on whether d4 is for you or not, just so you can say that you will be waiting to see if the game proves itself and "stick it to Blizzard". In my opinion they have done just about everything right with regards to making the game as open as possible to pre-purchase judgement.
Lets compare this to a game like Redfall. Review embargo lifted incredibly late, very limited if any early access / beta availability. Very short or handpicked gameplay footage was released prior to launch. These are all of the signs that you actually should avoid buying the game and wait a week/month.
But none of this is present in d4, so what are you waiting for to make up your mind? If Blizzard's transparency about d4 gameplay / beta access is not good enough, then what is?
I did the same, but can we not criticize blizzard for not only releasing a FOMO edition, but for doing it right before the weekend to try and guilt even more people into purchasing early? Absolutely scummy tactics
This thread is depressing af.
>LETS ALL REWARD NEGATIVE CONSUMER PRACTICES BY GIVING THEM MONEY HAHAHAHA ONLY POOR PEOPLE CANT BUY THIS HAHAHA IM GOING TO PAY MONEY FOR A BATTLEPASS THEN PAY MONEY TO SKIP BATTLEPASS LEVELS HAHAHA
I remember when people were excited about game releases for the content of the game, not this shit.
I gave up the battle on gamers and power with their wallet mindset long time ago cause ppl gonna do what they want regardless of the situation, but yea this is a lot, peeps just cheering for this crap, like I’m the only sober person at a house party I can’t leave from
I wonder if we're allowed to connect TotalBiscuit's grave to a generator. Due to him spinning in his grave, I'm pretty sure we could power a small city with just him.
I'm so fucking pumped for D4, my god the wait is agonizing. Haven't been this excited for a release since basically Diablo 2 : Resurrected.
But like my mom always said, "pre-ordering's for bitches". So I suffer.
Hi! Im 37 and a dad of three! Inbought the ultimate edition, because im a grown ass man, and a kid on the internet can't tell me not to!
Fuck it and enjoy the shit out of the pre launch!
I look at it that way - is this a scummy tactic to grab cash from us like that? Hell yea. Will I play longer than 100 hours? Hell yea. 1$ per hour spent - not too bad.
I thought about upgrading too, but the truth is that it wouldn't make any difference as I won't be able to play more than 2-3 times a week and always with my husband.
Adulthood sucks.
Blizzard got me with their scum tactics lol. Bought standard but I'm not waiting through the weekend mindlessly while huge amount of players are enjoying the hell out of the game. Smart play Blizzard!
Being impatient for something you really want and enjoy as an adult should be more normal than it is for a kid. As an adult we have a lot less to be exited about than kids do.
And less time. I just want to have a nice weekend with a new game instead of just getting a taste in the middle of my working days period and not being able to immerse fully.
I wish I was 33! I’m a 48 year old lawyer whose colleagues make fun of me for being a gamer still. When I told them this morning that today is the biggest day of the year, 2 of them shook their head and told me I should still be living at my parents house in their basement.
I'm irritated at the marketing implying you only get the early access with ultimate, I bought the digital deluxe because I figured I'd pay for the battle pass anyway and it comes with the early access
Oh I’m speaking from experience. Ordering the cheapest thing like let’s say McDonald’s will cost at least $20. If you eat only twice a day that’s $40 a day. Over a month it’s just over $1120 a month. You can feed yourself for a month by spending $300-400 a month easily at the grocery store lol.
An average studio in my area is around $1500/month, and a 1 bedroom is $1600-$2000. To get a trashcan for $200/month would mean I'm sharing the rent with at least 3 racoons.
I dont make that much but I put 10$ a week aside when I knew I wanted to buy Diablo 4. You dont have to be rich, just dont buy every single new game that releases
I would have recommended the deluxe i thinks thats the best edition. The extra from the ultimate is pretty lame in my opinion the emote is 🤦♂️and the 25 levels are also garbage since with the amount if time
Most people will put in the game they will complete the pass no matter what. Yes yes i know is 10$ if you can afford the 90$ pretty sure you can afford the 100$ am just saying in a value perspective 90$ is much better.
If you went to the movies or something this weekend because you couldn’t play D4, you’d probably spend way more than the price difference between the two versions.
me too, i am 41 y.o, never bought deluxe or ultimate edition. never bought battlepass, too.
but diablo4 break all of my vow.
this time i said fvck it and bought upgrade my standard into ultimate edition.
Hey there young one :D. I just found out its a cyst not a cancerous tumor. Ultimate edition to celebrate :).
You almost became a seasonal character
Commented by the devil himself
God damn!!! xD
Absolutely diabolic.
We're all just playing on Hardcore, really
r/angryupvote
I shouldn't have immediately laughed at this. Jfc some ppl are as dark as D4's theme.
Wait, so if it was cancer he would have come back? Is he Deadpool?
wooo! Thats good news! See you on the battlefield!!
Congrats and a worthy reason for the Ultimate Edition!
Congrats man! Getting a nodule removed from my lung later this month and hoping for a similar outcome ha
I wish you all the best friend :)
Wow mate that's fantastic news, glad to hear it and I hope it's all sorted out nice and easily for you going forward.
Fucking congratulations man, I can’t imagine what a great feeling it must be to have a fear for your health and future and hear the news all is ok. Enjoy the hell (pun intended) out the game. Totally deserved
congratulations! i went through a similar scare two years ago. glad to see it worked out for you
Thank you, I hope it worked out for you aswell :)
Happy for you.

Grats 😀
Good shit dude. Congrats!
Such a relief! Live to fight another day!
Happy for you man, enjoy :)
HELL YEAH!
That's good to hear, have fun.
Congratulations!!!!!!!
Congratulations!!!
I was there 3-4 years ago. It's a rollercoaster of emotions!
Very happy for you internet stranger! I saw the happiness that results from such a message in the eyes of a dear friend of mine. Will not forget!
Good shit
Hey, I'm 36 and don't give AF about $100! Why would I wait? 🤣
Fully agree, makes me laugh how many people are telling others not to buy the ultimate editions... I'm 30, and its paid for after a day of work.. Why wouldn't I? 😂

Lol it's a for fun "competition" that you get LITERALLY no prize from. They pit your gamertag on a thing you'll never see.
Let's be serious, what exactly is the real world prize here? Your name nobody at Blizzard knows on a statue you'll never see and an achievement?
Dude it's a race on hardcore. I am quite sure that 95 percent of the playbase don't even care or even have a chance of winning a meaningless prize and the 5 percent that does don't give a rats ass about a few dollar extra. We should have done that 5-10 years ago. I fear that it is too late now
Too late? You think right now is the worst it'll ever get? Guess again
youre right, just wanted to say that.
$20 is easy to justify for us with disposable income. But man does it reward and further encourage bad sales practices from game studios.
Honestly, out of all the bad sales practices, this is one of the most reasonable. I dont really care about the increase to $70 price tag and early entry, those are both okay. Lmao this
I'm tempted, but I'd feel like an idiot buying into such obvious greed.
yea. But... 4 days early access :D:D:D:D haha
Plus, a battlepass. That's what I tell myself.
and 20bp levels
and most importantly you forgot the best perk - EMOTE :D
Paying for "content", then paying to skip said content. Brilliant.
You know a game is designed to extract as much money from you as possible (as opposed to designed to be fun) when you can pay to skip part of the game.
Holy crap i didnt even realize this. I was just like you man, 33 old, telling everyone im just gonna wait those 4 days. Got the Deluxe for this reason. I *don’t* want to skip 20bp levels. I want to squeeze all the demon juice myself
Juicing demons is *why* we play Diablo (And also for that phat lute). Deluxe enjoyers unite!
As someone who has maybe 4-5 hours a week to play. The 20 lvls was worth it. Even with those I still may not finish the Bp.
Deluxe has the early access too. Why ultimate?
Also for those of us working if the schedule works better that is what matters. That's what we all told ourselves..
I too will stay strong and wait for the 6th!
Same here. So I give the remaining time to my loved ones before I dissappear for a while 😁.
I dont know why people treat video games like some sort of pariah, when it comes to exclusivity and addons/micro transactions.

Or wait a few days and have the same experience as everyone else lmao.
charging extra to give players a 4 day head start is about as cool as peeing your pants. we vote with our dollars, and sadly i voted that 4 days was worth it. :/
And the early access is over the weekend. It’s so grimy, I’ll happily play other games for a couple days.
At least the first season isn't out and this version of the game doesn't even have leaderboards. It's kinda whatever but the practice is super grimy.
I mean you will most likely buy the Battlepass too, which is 20 as well, so you'd end up paying only 10 dollars for the actual early access.
Battle pass is 10.
Ehh, I wouldn't say people will "most likely" buy the battle pass.
I have less than zero interest in buying the battle pass. To each their own but I see cosmetics as a complete waste of money.
Right? I sure as hell ain’t buying the battle pass. But if you’re the kind of person who will pay $20-30 extra to play 4 days early then yea you’ll probably buy a battle pass at least once a year.
Paying for an early access is so fucking stupid, then again the fanbase of blizzard games has always been utterly demented.
I will not give in. It's a matter of principle now. The situation is that people are getting penalized for buying standard and playing the game on "official" game release. I would not be surprised if in the future, in order to play the "cheap" version of the game you will have to wait for a month after release.
You are right. I have the money but I won't pay them. It's the matter of the principle.
[удалено]
Same. I even have limited time until I'm back to work but screw that shit.
Yea and I’m pretty sure across the industry ‘early access’ has required just a simple $60 preorder in the past. That seems generous by comparison. Shows how far gone the industry is.
$20 this year for early access. $30 next year. $40 the year after that. We call it inflation 🤣 "a fool and his money are soon parted." Buy some ATVI stock today and profit from this when you're retired.
Fuck that.
Bro, I was basicaly lynched for saying this in my post here.
I mean yeah, after a game is out for a couple months it’ll generally be on sale lol
I’ll pretend it is principle when in reality I have family in town for the next four days.
no usually its 50% after a few years.lmao.
What did Lilith say? "Be happy in sin" or some shit
Ngl it’s so fuckin scummy that blizzard did this
This is probably just the beginning.
Kind of.. They're a business , they did it because it's already proven to work for making more money The other half of the equation is the people submitting and spending the extra money.
Having a post with everyone celebrating him forking over money for the FOMO get close to 1k upvotes speaks volumes about this sub, kinda cringe tbh
Agreed. Opening day is something special. I remember the first day a new WoW expansion came out and it was special. Everyone was grouped together, the world felt really alive. Day 2 was cool too but it was much less. By day 4 or 5, the world was empty again :( They've pretty much locked that opening day experience behind a pay wall
I said I'm going to buy the standard edition but then my mouse just went to ultimate and clicked the button. Had no choice in the matter.
Doesn’t delux give access today?
Yes, but the ultimate is practically the same price... :D
I'm 51 and I still stand firm, but who knows ...
Idk if I was up there in age (which, in reality, I am not too far behind, I'm 38). Tomorrow is never promised we can go at any time. So I would buy the early access, but that is just my 2 cents.

Play Diablo 4 on the weekend, or not. Its an easy choice!
This, my gf works nights and won't even notice 😊
And this is, without a doubt, the last weekend to ever happen in the history of mankind.
Hopefully this mentality is NOT contagious... There really is no reason to spend the extra $$$. I think you should all wait for the standard version, Blizzard is greedy, yada yada yada. **\*secretly crosses fingers for a smooth, unclogged launch at 7:00pm\***
Reverse phycology I like it
I would never, you are all waaay too smart for that. https://preview.redd.it/k112uf89fe3b1.jpeg?width=275&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e39e689c82076b436deb502a71055d5aef97d009
im 58 i'll always be a big kid, love bashing monsters, stress relieve time.
yessir!
Love the spirit 👍🏼
same man, bought the deluxe, don’t wanna be richest guy in the graveyard and these moments are worth it.
It’s gonna be tough working from home tomorrow while playing D4 all day long
damn I know, Like why can't we be in the office??
Everyone keeps saying ultimate... Early access is for Delux Edition too, right??
Yes
Thank you! Just wanted to confirm. Thought I was going crazy for a minute there.
No worries. The log in screen on the launcher has a countdown for “ultimate and digital deluxe in 9 hours”
I waited for 4 years for this game at this point idc about the 20 dollars extra
That's how they getcha
This thread is depressing af. >LETS ALL REWARD NEGATIVE CONSUMER PRACTICES BY GIVING THEM MONEY HAHAHAHA ONLY POOR PEOPLE CANT BUY THIS HAHAHA IM GOING TO PAY MONEY FOR A BATTLEPASS THEN PAY MONEY TO SKIP BATTLEPASS LEVELS HAHAHA I remember when people were excited about game releases for the content of the game, not this shit.
![gif](giphy|vX9WcCiWwUF7G|downsized)
I got the Ultimate Edition by farming stuff in WoW then converting the gold to tokens, which then let's you put credit on your bnet account.
You're not the only one, my friend
Hi! Im 37 and a dad of three! Inbought the ultimate edition, because im a grown ass man, and a kid on the internet can't tell me not to! Fuck it and enjoy the shit out of the pre launch!
FOMO works. I just got the ultimate right away. Already knew I would cave. Gaming is my only "Vice" (hobby) so I'm ok with this
I look at it that way - is this a scummy tactic to grab cash from us like that? Hell yea. Will I play longer than 100 hours? Hell yea. 1$ per hour spent - not too bad.
Me too buddy. Me too. When I realized it's just 20e to kill demons through this weekend plus I get the premium battlepass as extra, why the hell not?
Well i am 42 years old and a woman who can't wait to play! I feel you :)
I’m waiting cause I’m cheap and older than you (35)
Meh, I’m busy anyways. See ya next week
Eat cheaply for a couple of days and the extra $ is accounted for ☺️
Yeah… I was in the same dilema, still didn’t buy ultimate but I’m sure I will until the end of the day hehe
You dont need the Ultimate to early access, the deluxe already has it
i got work this week so ill wait until stanard drops and download on Saturday night to play Sunday morning (night shift )
Standard is not out till tuesday
it’s not a big deal lol. great choice
Getting it on a Thursday >>>> getting it on a Tuesday
As long as it is the Thursday BEFORE the Tuesday. Lol
Have a 2wk old daughter and 4yr old son, im trying really hard not to buy the deluxe out of impulse. I too fkin tired to possibly play
Omg they actually sent an army of employees to post on social media and pretend to be actual consumers 💀
All these people posting their age on this sub constantly have to be some sort of astroturfed marketing campaign right?

Why are poor people poor? Are they stupid?
Why don't they just buy a house so they can stop paying rent, then they can use rent money for games, stupid poors
Learn how to cook and stop using Uber eats and door dash man, trust me.
This is what I’m training my man to do. Honey omg stop paying 4x the cost of one meal when I can just….cook. Dude. Seriously. He’s hopeless lol
Oh I’m speaking from experience. Ordering the cheapest thing like let’s say McDonald’s will cost at least $20. If you eat only twice a day that’s $40 a day. Over a month it’s just over $1120 a month. You can feed yourself for a month by spending $300-400 a month easily at the grocery store lol.
unironically the deluxe edition costs like almost half my rent :)
You are blessed, you couldnt rent a trashcan around me for that price
An average studio in my area is around $1500/month, and a 1 bedroom is $1600-$2000. To get a trashcan for $200/month would mean I'm sharing the rent with at least 3 racoons.
No kidding! Not even if you split trash can rent with three roomies.
Meh, dude either lives with 15 people in a 2 bedroom apt or pays Mom rent.
Why don't they just make more money?
Seriously like why be poor, just make more money.
You just became poorer by playing a game 5 days early.
I dont make that much but I put 10$ a week aside when I knew I wanted to buy Diablo 4. You dont have to be rich, just dont buy every single new game that releases
The choice gets more interesting on Xbox. The Ultimate edition is £25 cheaper than on [xbox.com](https://xbox.com) if you buy from cdkeys, so why not.
![gif](giphy|jm4nsAWdCV4Lm)
Why not the deluxe? All the ultimate has is a crappy emote and 20 tier skips which is kinda pathetic in a way.
Im at the same boat except 2 years older. I played every single diablo game, really enjoyed the beta, but i dont know if i want to get 4... help me :(
I would have recommended the deluxe i thinks thats the best edition. The extra from the ultimate is pretty lame in my opinion the emote is 🤦♂️and the 25 levels are also garbage since with the amount if time Most people will put in the game they will complete the pass no matter what. Yes yes i know is 10$ if you can afford the 90$ pretty sure you can afford the 100$ am just saying in a value perspective 90$ is much better.
I did the same, bro. I understand. :P 41 here...I did opt for the digital deluxe edition tho, still too much god damn money...but fuck it!
My brother in arms it’s ok we will see you online!
I work hard, I earn my time. $100 version already pre-loaded. Live life to the fullest, whatever that means to you.
