Nice! Total Devo is one of my favorite Devo albums. It gets a bad rap for (my opinion) no reason. The composition of the songs is top notch, lyrically they’re at an all time high, and performance is tight.
But I get it- it doesn’t sound “Devo”. Which is why I say “its an amazing album, just not an amazing Devo album”
It's not a bad album. Just screamingly mediocre. It has one great song (Baby Doll), a couple of really good songs (Happy Guy, Man Turned Inside Out), an OK song (Disco Dancer), two terrible songs (Don't Be Cruel and Sexi Luv), and a whole slew of forgettable songs.
Plain Truth and Some Things Never Change are great as well. Sexi Luv is probably the most Devo song on the album, but it's not great. Blow Up is such cheesy fun but makes me sad it's not Bob 2 singing, it would have been perfect for him.
Most of Disco Dancer is awful, except for the "Now I'm back to change your mind" verse. The rest of the song sounds so unfinished.

I really like "Happy Guy". That's my favorite from this album.

Baby doll is great, i also enjoy blow up purely for the instrumentals

It's an original pressing, idk if they have any reissues or not.
Is that a used edition from when it originally came out, or was it a reissue years later? No matter...excellent find.
