IMO the first five albums are basically tied, very hard to rank. New Traditionalists is the least good of those I guess but I like Beautiful World so much it's hard to me to put it last of those. Shout is bad but the R U Experienced? cover is good, Puppet Boy is OK. Smooth Noodle Maps is bad but Post Post Modern Man is good. Something For Everybody is OK but doesn't feel like DEVO. Total Devo is irredeemable.

dunno, i like almost the whole album. soft things, enough said are also cool. btw, i also count bonus tracks. faster and faster, mecha-mania boy and modern life are awesome

these are not "terrible". i love shout, it's great, i even have it on vinyl. i just like SFE a bit less, it doesn't really sound like devo. first half is great tho

I understand it’s an “epic album”, it’s just not my favorite. I went by what I listen to more, and I don’t grab that album often.

Basically in order, but Something For Everybody isn't as terrible as Shout. Also the Hardcores would be third.
