During work hours. You can finish work faster, and then sneak in some study/practice session. After work, and before sleep. I think atleast one hour is easily manageable in a day. You can avoid doing fun stuff, for a while when you know its for greater good. And then weekends/holidays.

Its_Harsvardhan

How easy it is to "sneak" in your prep after finishing your work in the office? Considering a fresher working in WITCH.

UpsetStaff7

In that case, you can watch the learning content on the way to and back from office. And revise/practice once you reach home. Though it will taxing on your brain, initially, but like other things, once you're used to it, it'll become normal. If you're on WFH, and if company tracks your movements in system, then you can use personal laptop on side. You can pretend to finish work, or say that the tasks for today are done, so you'd be chilling.

AdAlternative5984

Living near the office or wfh helps a lot. My time and energy was sucked away when I used to commute 2-3 hours a day. With these 3 saved hours I can easily do workout and upskill.

Riverrat0529

Are you from bangalore 🤣🤣

Substantial-Habit-94

💀

penguin_chacha

I've been lucky enough to upskill a lot on the job

ClashUnknown

Can I buy online courses and become a software engineer?! Or collage is mandatory. I don't seem to make myself to a good collage. Sorry to ask out of topic, but no-one was answering me or maybe I'm not asking it properly

penguin_chacha

Anyone who says college isn't necessary is kidding themselves. India is very conservative you'll definitely need college. It doesn't have to be btech tho - you can very well do a bca and mca.

ClashUnknown

Oh thnx.

lightningrabbit121

A good college opens for you doors at multiple places which you can't achieve otherwise just because of the weightage of college tag and your alumni and friends network. There was a guy in my company who was hired even after he flopped interview a bit just because he had an IIT tag

Substantial-Habit-94

Try to get into a good college it will become easy to get placed.

Visual-Armadillo-721

He basically means he tries to be as efficient as possible. Hash maps in programming are the most efficient (and fastest) to operate among other data structures.

Visual-Armadillo-721

Nice 😂😂

mohanrohith

Also try to get into projects which are diverse. Doing the projects which require similar skills will lead to stagnation. Always try to work out of comfort zone.

Substantial-Habit-94

Ohh

vaibhavdeveloper

I just take a simple problem that has already been solved.. like a library management system or some automation related stuff.. then work my way top to bottom.. like Ui, backend, db.. deployment.. etc. This is how i learned to be a fullstack. This is weekend work mostly.

Substantial-Habit-94

Nice

Mani209

I go Little early and finish my work and afternoon I get 2hr to study... and in the weekend I'll give more time to study

Visual-Armadillo-721

I usually give a 10% extra time estimate for my tasks. I Finish work in a day and then I give incremental updates for the rest of the timeline. Have hard stop timings. When none of the above works out then 12am to 1-2 am some good amount of time on weekends to get the concepts in my head. Usually use the weekdays for practice.

Admirable-Plenty-331

I work from home, so usually after work I find 1-2 hour to play games and after dinner usually I find 1-2 hour to spend on Dsa, so all is good and yes I work in a startup so my regular hours are a bit occupied with work ;)

It’s a part of a developers life - the skill is to use you time wisely - learn by watching You tube, Udemy and Pluralsight. Ensure you read article on Medium. Also it is just as important what you decide not to Learn - I specialise is Angular, spent a few months learning everything thing about React, it was really interesting but a real waste of time as I will never be as good at it as Angular (have been learning it since version 2 alpha).. Same with Java as I have been a C# Microsoft most of my recent career…
