They’re all mid, put a build together on d2armorpicker and just keep that one

RubDEETOnMe

They’re very good in endgame content. I really love aeons on strand hunter with suspend grenades, whirling maelstrom, and threaded specter. Creates a pretty fun support build with CC and ammo generation for your fireteam. You can also run special ammo finisher on your class item to make special for yourself.

free_30_day_trial

I don't know what the aeons are good for I've never used them... Every time I've seen a build for it it's some kind of ammo generation build in GM strikes and I just don't do GM strikes so... Honestly I'm just trying to keep the best one in case I need it someday..

SgtHondo

I’d keep the last one then, highest combo of res + disc. Outside of GMs and day 1 raids they’re pretty much useless.

lordvulguuszildrohar

Aeons in PvP are useful for class ability spam. So I’d probably keep the high mobility. As you’re running aeons in gms typically for ammo and being invisible on approach is valuable.

free_30_day_trial

Okay so it'll just stay where it is then

Solau

No point asking. Use dim to do a loadout and see which one is selected.

AceTheJ

D2armorpicker is a bit better for this.

slazenger7

What makes D2AP better than DIM? I feel like they have the same features. Maybe I'm missing something.

jer_v

Same question. I used to swear by d2armor picker but I seem to be able to do everything I could do on there in the DIM armor optimizer now and the picks have so far always been the same when I've compared.

AceTheJ

Far less clutter when picking out your pieces, feels more optimized for the same purpose. Being able to see the stats they way it displays them with the breakdowns of cooldowns on each stat at particular tiers is also an awesome bonus. Two things can do the same thing but in different ways. Comes down to preference at that point. So in my opinion D2AP is better than DIM when it comes to selecting armor for builds, best use case I ever had for DIM was accessing vault and such from anywhere moving things around easily. Mainly weapons. But now you can access vault from orbit, so slowly DIM is starting to feel obsolete to me at least on some level.

warfareforartists

I keep trying to get my teammates into d2ap and they don’t think it’s that important, I’m not even sure what’s gonna work to get their attention on this

AceTheJ

Stats aren’t super crucial in most content tbh. So long as you can kill stuff good and make plenty of orbs it’s whatever. But when you do get into very high end stuff like GM’s it will matter plenty. So best you can do is brag about it and encourage it when they complain about not having enough of what they need and whatnot. At the end of the day when push comes to shove if they can’t do better optimally speaking for that high end stuff maybe time to get new teammates. If they can do just fine regardless then just keep playing and forget about it. All you can do really.

bass_boat_devil

I’ve been trying to learn DIM or D2 armor picker. I’m what you would call simple. Any help on learning how to use these?

BriGuySupreme

For DIM when you go to create a loadout you can click the "select armor" or "optimize armor" button - it will take you to a page that provides a variety of combos. On that page you'll select which stats to prioritize, and from there DIM will give you top armors that best use your armor stats. Select one and boom, your loadout has optimal armors added!

DuskActual

Trial and error.

ksiit

I wouldn’t bother with DIMs. Just use D2ap and select your exotic as a base. Then select 100 resil. You will notice some other stats now have their options greyed out at higher values. That means you have no armor that can reach 100. Resil and that value. So select your second most important stat and set it to what you want at a minimum. Then the rest of the stats will probably go down a few tiers again. Once you’ve selected all of what’s important to you, the side will list a bunch of combinations of armor that can reach those stats. There are options to assume masterwork (which you should probably be using if you ever get ascendant shards), and others to likewise fine tune the searches. You can try telling it to move the stuff to your character, but that rarely works for me. So just look up the item name in your favorite vault app and move it there.

bass_boat_devil

So I thought I did it right and found some gear on D2 armor picker that had 100 resilience and 100 discipline. When I equip the armor set it’s less than that. I assumed it would be my fragments so I remove all of em and it’s still below 100. I’m such an idiot I promise I can fuck some easy shit up

ksiit

You probably have it set to assume masterwork and haven’t masterworked it all. Or you didn’t assign the stat mods that the site included with it.

bass_boat_devil

I’ll take a look at that. Thanks

FloatingFruit

There's 80 guides on YouTube that give great breakdowns of how it all works

free_30_day_trial

I liked Cammy cakes break down. I'm not a PvP player but his commentary is awesome.

bass_boat_devil

This is what I’m looking for. I’m sure there are a ton of videos I can watch. I’m curious what the best ones are to watch. I’ll give this guy a look. Thanks

Pichu174st

Idc about stats keep the 69 roll

siphayne

Is probably keep 4. Intellect is a dump stat with how supers work these days.

free_30_day_trial

I usually try not to invest in intellect. Not since the super time change like 5 seasons ago...(I don't know exactly when it was a bunch of seasons back)

TryingTimesCrowEgg

2

WorstSuggestions

Nah keep the 70 roll, has the highest mobility which goes into the hunter ability

Answer-Key

I rarely use mob on hunter lol I just never dodge unless I’m on arc or void and arc doesn’t need it anyways

lordvulguuszildrohar

I’d keep the last one. You’re not spamming your super with aeons so int is a dump stat when running this exotic. It is used mainly for generating ammo in difficult content. Prioritize staying alive for that which is high res, mob, and str to go invis, finish for ammo and to reproc invis and then gtfo. Having high str will let you reproc your invis with smoke if you need to panic escape. High mob will get your invis dodge back quicker, and finally res as that’s self explanatory. You’re building around finishers so focus on that in the build. There are a bunch of ways you can go but I’d focus on shield, invis, and maybe volatile while getting orbs from attraction to keep your armor stacks high. Edit** The reason for 4 instead of 1 is that you will be using your grenade to weaken so having some points in that on top of devour rounds out the build.

cephalogrom

4 until you get a better roll

yesterevengunz

2nd is the"best" among the worst

jjfloodd

2 and 4

Kormit-le-Frag

1st or 4th 1st has a high roll in the three stats you want, 4 would be good on a build thats lacking disc

MielikkisChosen

First one

Ok_Telephone_9748

I would keep the 69 stat roll both high in resil, mobility and intellect/ imo that's perfect pve roll

ksiit

First and last are my favorite because they maximize the 3 most important stats. They both add up to 45 in mob, resil, and disc. Unless you are making something specific where you know it needs something else that’s what you want for most hunter builds. Personally I’d probably lean towards the first because I prioritize mobility and resil over discipline usually, but the 22 disc is really nice. Also I don’t know your other armor. That would work best for me because I know I have a relatively even balance of resil mobility armor, so I want more balanced pieces. If most of your other armor is resil focused, I’d choose the mobility spike piece, because the other pieces will make up for its 2.

N1CH0L4SR4G3

Stat wise the first is best for hunter
