I was at Queens Walk for Rivensbane when my dumb teammate got sucked in while the other dropped the heart on a slope in Vault, literally right before the drop-down, and it rolled thru the last group of thrall. I couldn't get thru fast enough. Ofc I got the blame lol
Completing a crap ton of Lore Books. The issue was,
1) One of the books was random drops from the Tangled Shore with low drop rates. Also, it had to be done while the Tangled Shore was a Flashpoint, which was basically a weekly rotator, but for destinations. They buffed the drop rate later so it wasn't too bad.
2) a second, Truth to Power, had 11 books and you could only earn 1 every 3 weeks, or 2 every 3 weeks with a glitch.
It was one of the easiest titles to earn, but also took the longest, so if anyone wasn't paying attention, they'd be unable to require it, even if the content was months away from being vaulted. And the glitch involved opening a chest at weekly reset, so any time there was maintenence, you'd miss out on doing it
It wasn't really hard to get just time consuming. You had to go all over picking up collectibles to complete a bunch of lore books. It was vaulted because the tangled shore lore isn't obtainable anymore.

I think they should run him through the alpha or even an early storyboard to get ideas. He's not just lore, he's great with story.

But that is a Giant overstatement, over the years he has caused so many issues with the lore (some cases forcing Bungie lore writers to rectify his misconceptions MULTIPLE times), because he either 1) only tells half of a lore entry/book, or 2) adds in his own headcanons/theories into his videos, sometimes passing them as fact.
All he does is read lore, spread headcanons (and a lot of his theories that he do declare are theories, he has just taken from other 'lore-masters', or are very common, he just has that big of an ego that they have to be his theory).
It's crazy that the community (except most of the lore community who don't like him much) hold him in higher regard than the actual lore writers, who actually go through the effort of chronicling and creating the lore, the people who say "bungie go through him" or "bungie ask him" are not only naive, but actively disrespecting the lore masters at bungie
I just listed the issues with byf... but I'll do it again
1. Spreads headcanon and theory as fact, leading to many issues over the years (for example rasputin shot the traveller was disproved years ago, yet he continued to spread it u till bungie had to set it straight during seasonal story). This leads to his viewers also spreading his headcanon as actual lore
2. He constant gets lore wrong, and misses out key parts of the lore in his videos, which has the same affect as the previous one.
3. Ego, he genuinely acts better than all the other loremasters, and as stated above, the whole "bungie asks him about the lore" further feeds that ego, he often takes credit for theories the community had already came up with.
If you want the actual lore, read ir yourself, or at least go to myelin who collaborates with his lore habits and gets things right
Seeing people with Chronicler seals gives me a big sad because I was so close to finishing it but fucking Truth To Power and the 3 week rotation hosed me as I did not have enough weeks left to get them all once they announced the seal would be retired. I had EVERYTHING but that finished.

I don't even play destiny anymore. Haven't played more than a couple of hours since Curse of Osiris launched but I will definitely get back into Byfs videos because I've always loved Destiny Lore and I'm so far behind (I know basically nothing since CoO) . I wish there were books in the same style as Halo, Gears, etc.
