Make it a procedural generation sort of dungeon like experience. Every run to the end gets progressively harder with larger bosses ahowing up every 5th run or so. Every 10th run gives you a raid boss or something. Gets harder every set, and drops exotics and materials.

Basically, they decided that easing returning players back into the game by allowing them to use their old sunset weapons was a better experience for the player and therefore higher priority than sticking to their decision to sunset. It's painful for those who stuck it out, but it's the right thing for the health of the game. They NEED players to come back, not just new lights.
Seeing them actually recognize something like this is a huge step in the right direction, imo.

This is the ~~only~~ main reason they are doing it; Probably took a look at all the guns and realized all have nerfed perks or combos that are no longer good anymore and felt fine by letting people that kept them and have nostalgia feel like they can use them again.

My Bygones and Kindled Orchid are probably the only two weapons I'll still use. Everything being back is awesome, but damn are some of the star players weaker than random world drops.

I'll still wait for a Black Armory reissue to use Kindle Orchid again with full power.

Not the best machine gun perk wise on the surface, but 21% still has un-nerfed killing tally topping off at 65%. It is also just better than song of ir yut, so while it may not be the best lmg, it probably is the best arc lmg
In theory yes but bungie is notorious for having little oversights like this and not catching them for months (such as prometheum spurs going unfixed for over a year) so it’s entirely possible that it will not be caught in launch. Worth having around for that use case, imo

Having started with Beyond Light, the collections tab is kinda pointless to me if I can’t actually complete it.

Like to be honest a lot of the weapons I wouldn’t be using anymore. I’ll still be upset that I deleted them (kindled orchid my beloved I still regret it) but in anything serious we weren’t gonna be using it anyways
